We ask Londoners if money leads to happiness.

00:00If we're going to define wealth I think it is pure happiness. I think money is obviously a benefit to have that. You can obviously have more happiness, you can do more things such as go on more holidays, spend it on like flashy cars, big houses, that sort of thing. But I think if you are going to be rich internally, I think it's spending time with family and friends that nurture yourself and your soul. I think that is the richest form of life.
00:28Happiness, peace of mind, wellbeing and like money is a key enabling factor of all of those things but it's not like the sole driver of your sense of wellbeing. It's also kind of your sense of purpose, community, whether you have meaning in your life.
00:50But I think those factors maybe don't stand up as easily if you are kind of experiencing poverty.
