Lucknow (UP), May 18, 2025 (ANI): On Rahul Gandhi remark on Indian Army, Major General Harsha Kakar (Retd) condemned Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, called it was wrong.Speaking to ANI, Major General Harsha Kakar (Retired) said, “It is wrong to tweet and achieve your aim by manipulating things according to your own wishes on this entire issue and this message of Rahul Gandhi is wrong because there was no conversation between India and Pakistan, the conversation happened only between the two DGMOs and after targeting the terrorist camps, a DGMO to DGMO message was sent, there was no conversation, the conversation happened only when Pakistan requested a ceasefire. So tweeting this is to turn the whole story around and it is wrong.”

00:00The fact is that the DGMO had clarified that the moment we struck terrorist targets,
00:08the PM had laid down his directive that our fight is against terrorists.
00:12The moment we struck terrorist targets, we left a message from the DGMO to the PAK DGMO,
00:18a message, no conversation, that we have hit terrorist camps, no military targets,
00:24no civilian targets, and we expect you to adhere to this, which implied that since we only hit terrorist targets
00:33and not damaged anything else, you can look at cooling down.
00:38Now, that was the fact, and that is something exactly what Jai Shankar said.
00:45His message was twisted, and I think twisting the message was indirectly hitting back at the armed forces,
00:52which have done a correct job, implemented the government's end state, implemented the government's plan,
01:01and that is what the intention was.
01:04I think it was wrong to twist it and say that they were told before.
01:08It did not happen before.
01:10There was no conversation between the two governments before the strike took place.
01:15So, what is the exact thing?
01:18The governments in the situation of war should talk to each other, or what the situation is it as the army point of view?
01:26The logic is that once you've done your task, you've pushed the other onto the defensive,
01:32the country which has faced the loss and wants a ceasefire is the one which will approach.
01:39India was not in a hurry.
01:41India did not want to rush into a ceasefire.
01:43India was doing what it was planning to do.
01:47It was Pakistan that realized the impact on its defenses, on its airfields, on its assets,
01:54and they felt that now to prolong it further will be more damaging.
01:58Therefore, they are the ones who called for a ceasefire, and that is what the procedure is.
02:03And when they called for a ceasefire, India accepted the same.
02:06The last thing is, what Rahul Gandhi exactly said, and why it was wrong?
02:11He accused Jayashankar of speaking to Pakistan even prior to the first strike being launched.
02:19That was wrong.
02:21Because there was no conversation between governments, there was no messaging between governments.
02:26Anything and everything that took place, took place only after the strikes were launched.
