00:00I got into Marvel as a kid, going to comic book shops.

00:03I was really big on X-Men and all the offshoots, like X-Factor and Wolverine.

00:08When Ironheart came out, I remember the buzz around the industry.

00:11I was really excited.

00:13In 2016, Brian Michael Bendis, a really famous creative in the comic book world,

00:17created a character, Riri Williams.

00:20A lot of people think that she's a successor to the Iron Man legacy.

00:23But in the comic book, Riri and Tony had a friendship.

00:25He was kind of advising her, and eventually she got her own identity as Ironheart.

00:30It was really exciting for me, bringing that character into the MCU of Wakanda Forever.

00:35The story of Ironheart is not a story about the mantle of Iron Man getting passed.

00:40If anything, it's the opposite.

00:41It's really about her proving herself and achieving her own legacy.
