00:00Hi Beanie. Hi Dodo. I'm here to send you up on a Dodo dream date. With who? I honestly have no idea but this is a scavenger home so I do have a book. Okay. Look at this angel. Is that the dog right over there? Did I figure out? Yes that's your first challenge. Hello. Hi.
00:29What is this? Look at this sweet boy. Look at this sweet boy. I'm in love with him already. Hi. What do we know about this dog? Not much but we do have another clue for you. Oh thank you. Hi. Oh thank you. We're getting along already. Okay we're going to find something out about you. The beagle with one eye holds the secret to your date's name. Should we go find out your name? May I?
00:59Thank you. The beagle with one eye. Where should we go? In love with this dog. What do I do? I don't personally have a dog but my family actually took my brother who passed away. We took his dog in so my parents have Jackie. I bet they get along because she's kind of like a mellow old girl too.
01:29So Beanie you said you do a lot of scavenger homes. How come? I do. I am a volunteer at an organization called Experience Camps. And Experience Camps puts on one week no cost camps for children that are grieving. So children that have lost a parent or a sibling get to come to camp and be amongst people that understand them. And we do a lot of scavenger homes.
01:59So they're going to be at home too. Oh that's actually my dog Telly so he's already all set. This is your dog? Wait look at them interacting. Hi sweet Telly. Wait look there's something around Telly's neck. Oh boy. Are these friendship bracelets? Did these have uh letters? Do I get to learn your name? Bye Telly. Thank you for your help. Thank you for your help.
02:29I don't eat them. C-O-E. What do we think your name is? Do we think it's Rocco? No there's an S. Are you a little Rosco? Is that your name? Is that your name? I'm Beanie. It's an absolute pleasure. I'm going to start making you a friendship bracelet. Maybe we can tie it to your harness. Hey no. We don't eat beans. He's getting a little
02:59playful. We love to see that. Oh that's a good boy. We normally do it at rest hour which is like right after lunch. We take like a little break. There we go. I got the R on. We finished it. Oh and yours is rainbow. Pride. We love to see it. We did make yours. I appreciate that. I really am. The kids are so much better. Look we have matching. So Beanie we have another surprise for you. Another dog. Is it another dog?
03:29Because I can't emotionally take it. Not exactly. Okay. Rocco are you ready to look at this? This says Katie on it. So can you explain to us who Katie is? I'm already getting emotional. Katie was one of the woodchucks. She was one of the campers in my cabin. I cannot wait. So one of the girls that I had the privilege of being their camp counselor. We just had the most magical time. We were all new. Um and. Oh.
03:59Oh my god. Oh my god. This is going to be a really good day. Hello. Does this mean I get some help with the scavenger hunt? Because I feel like. Yay. I would love to join you. Hi. My name is Roscoe. Hi. Roscoe. And he's looking for a home. We're kind of a trio of sensitive souls. Yeah.
04:29Katie you want to read it? I would love to. Those three Central Park locations will help you solve the puzzle on how your date became single. I'm glad you gave me two sidekicks to figure this out. I know where this is and then a bridge. Oh I know where this is. Have you ever been to Central Park? Over here. No I've never been but that's that's the bridge. Should we start there? Yeah we should. Okay. Let's go. Katie you want to tell us how you met Beanie? Straight away I got off the bus.
04:59Like you were a real life actor. Like on Broadway and Grey's Anatomy. Kept it on the down low. Well I was there to be your counselor. I taught drama and the room they had me in was all the way at the top of the hill. And I feel like Roscoe is kind of at Beanie speed right now. He's like give me a minute. Okay. We're on the bridge. It's either really obvious or really hidden. There's something. I think so too. Go for it. Go for it. Okay. I was going to look at other people. Puzzle. Puzzle. Okay.
05:29We're here. Next it looks like the closest location is right here. Katie you're the leader now. Okay. Yeah. I trust her with anything. This is so pretty. I've been to Central Park a million times and I've never been down here. Certainly not with one of my favorite kids and a beautiful dog. Roscoe found it first to be fair. Roscoe do you have like some magic senses that I'm not aware of? We're two of three. Yes. Now we're looking at this monument. Oh we're just peeing again.
05:59This is the second P. One P per clue. You know what I mean? Does that look? It looks like. Should we go up closer and see if it's the right one? Yeah. We did it! We found it!
06:14Okay Katie I'm relying on you to tackle this puzzle. Okay. I feel like he's very excited for this. Just want to know what's inside that noggin.
06:21Oh I already got a puzzle piece together. We gotta do this faster. I'm already crying. Wow we're doing so well. It's mostly you. I'm just the sidekick.
06:30Okay. Okay. I think we can read it. I think you can go for it. I'm a 14 year old dog looking for a new family
06:37because my owner just passed away. Roscoe. We've been together since I was a puppy but I still have so much love
06:49to give. My favorite things laying tug of war. Be in the same room as my people. I really think I am a lap dog.
07:00I am a lap dog. Katie that's so crazy. He's like us. He's like us. You're such a sweet boy.
07:08The thing about experience camps is that we get to all connect on having lost someone. For me it was my brother. For Roscoe it sounds like it was his family. His owner.
07:21For me it was my dad. Katie was her dad and I was really happy to share. We cry a lot at camp. We do. But we also laugh a lot at camp.
07:29And we scream a lot at camp. So do you feel like we need a little joy? The light in the darkness. The light in the darkness.
07:37Hey look. We're going to dance your way to learning about your date's personality. Okay. So we have to go dance somewhere?
07:43Hey. Hi. How's it going? Hey there. I'm Beanie and this is Katie. Hi. I'm Lene. We're going to dance. We're going to dance.
07:51Dance. All right. So I know a couple things about Roscoe. One of the things we know about Roscoe is that he doesn't realize he's as big as he is.
08:00So we're going to make ourselves a little bit small and we're going to get big. Right, left, right, left.
08:05Woo. Yeah. Big, big, small, small.
08:08The next thing that we know is that when Roscoe is excited, big booty shakes. Yeah, exactly. So we're just going to go side, step, side, step. Next thing we know, loves the belly rod.
08:22Who doesn't? So hands to belly, just around. Last thing, Roscoe loves to lay in the sun. Exactly like this. So it's a nice spin laying in the sun. Love it.
08:36I love that. And that's it. Oh, should we put it together? Yeah. Yeah. Six, seven, eight. Go. Up, up, in, down, go. Yes. Up, shake it, go.
08:48All right. Valley rub. Turn. Now. Come on, Roscoe. All right. Katie, awesome. Feeney, awesome. Roscoe, awesome. So nice to meet you. Thank you so much.
09:04Oh, thank you. Thank you. Hey. How are we going that way? Teenagers, you know? He's like, you're all impersonating me. I have to turn away. But that was really fun.
09:15We love to dance at camp. We bust a lot of moves. Ready for your last challenge? Okay. Thank you, Dodo.
09:23Let your date's future forever family know about their magic through a song. I know somebody over here is an incredible singer. So whatever we're about to go do, I feel like Katie is the leader on this one.
09:38Okay. Shall we? Yes. Oh my goodness. Oh. This is so sweet. Hello. Hi. Katie. Beeney. Yes. Nice to meet you.
09:48How's your date going? Best day? Best day. I'd love to hear about it. Maybe we can write a song.
09:53Let's write a song. Ooh. You ready to write a song, Katie? Yes. A camp we sing around the campfire.
09:59Absolutely. Yes. And it looks like you're ready. I'm ready to go. I have some chords. Katie, you ready?
10:04Yes. I'm very much ready. Here we go. Ooh.
10:08Oh, his name is Roscoe. A dapper boy with ears and a face like velvet. Fourteen years young, but you couldn't tell it. With all the love left he has to give.
10:27He's dreaming of his forever home. But there's a comfy lap to snuggle up in. And the gin scratchers are endless.
10:39Oh, Roscoe. Oh, his name is Roscoe. A dapper boy with ears and a face like velvet. Fourteen years young, but you couldn't tell it.
10:54Oh, Roscoe. Oh, Roscoe. Oh, Roscoe. A man's best friend. Oh, Roscoe.
11:11Oh, my God. That was so amazing. I slipped up a little bit, but...
11:16This was incredible.
11:18Roscoe, you have your own song.
11:20That was amazing. He's such a gentle, loving, wise little angel. And I've had the best day with you, Katie. Thank you.
11:30I'm so happy to see you. Thank you so much, Dodo.
11:32Thank you. We've had the best day. Thanks for reuniting me with my girl and my new boy.
