Haryana YouTuber among 6 Indians arrested for spying for Pakistan

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and 5 others allegedly leaked sensitive info to Pakistani operatives.

00:00This YouTuber from Haryana has been arrested for spying for Pakistan.

00:11Six Indian nationals, including a Haryana-based travel blogger,

00:15have been arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive information to Pakistani operatives.

00:19According to police, the network spanned across Haryana and Punjab

00:23with key players acting as agents, financial couriers and informants.

00:27Among those arrested was Jyoti Malhotra, who ran a YouTube channel called Travel With Joe.

00:32Authorities said she visited Pakistan in 2023 after obtaining a visa through commission agents.

00:41During her trip, she reportedly developed close ties with Ahsan Ur Raheem,

00:45alias Danish, a staff member at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

00:50Danish, who was declared persona non grata and expelled by the Indian government on 13 May 2025,

00:57Jyoti to several Pakistani intelligence operatives, PIOs.

01:00Using encrypted platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram and Snapchat,

01:04Jyoti stayed in touch with these operatives, including Shakir, alias Rana Shahbaz,

01:09whose number she saved as Jadrandhava.

01:11She was accused of sharing sensitive information about Indian locations

01:14and promoting a favourable image of Pakistan on social media.

01:18Investigators claimed she entered into an intimate relationship with a PIO

01:21and even travelled with him to Bali, Indonesia.

01:24She also continued coordinating with Danish during this time in Delhi, further raising suspicions.

01:29Jyoti was booked under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 3, 4 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

01:37Following her written confession, the case was handed over to the economic offences wing, Hisar.

01:41Another arrest includes 32-year-old Ghazila, a Muslim widow from Maler, Kotla, Punjab.

01:47Along with Yameen Mohamed, she allegedly assisted Danish with financial transactions and visa facilitation,

01:53allegedly manipulated through emotional and monetary inducements.

01:56In Kaithal, Haryana, Devinder Singh Ghillaw, a Sikh student, was recruited during a pilgrimage to Pakistan

02:01and later sent videos of the Petyala cantonment.

02:04From New Haryana, Arman was found supplying Indian SIM cards, transferring funds,

02:08and visiting the Defence Expo 2025 site on Danish's instructions.

02:13Officials say the case is part of a broader espionage operation that exploited vulnerable

02:17individuals using emotional connections, financial incentives and false promises of marriage.

02:22The accused have reportedly confessed and the investigation is ongoing.
