00:00Hey everyone, I'm back with another video. Don't worry, this is no commentary. I'm going to shut up as soon as the video gets started.
00:08This is Black Mesa though. I had a poll, you guys selected me, at least a majority of you did.
00:15I'm so excited to play this because I was a huge fan of the original Half-Life, but the graphics are very dated at this point.
00:24Still a great game, but from what I understand, Black Mesa is faithful, yet adds more content to it.
00:32So, I'm super, super looking forward to playing this and I hope you guys are going to stick with me and enjoy the ride.
00:40So, I'm going to shut up now. We're just going to enjoy the game together, okay? Thank you.
00:45Don't forget to like and subscribe. Here we go.
01:24Welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System. This automated train is provided for the security and convenience of the Black Mesa Research Facility personnel.
01:37The time is 8.47 a.m. Current topside temperature is 93 degrees with an estimated high of 105.
01:57The Black Mesa compound is maintained at a pleasant 68 degrees at all times.
02:27This train is inbound from Level 3 Dormitories to Sector C Test Labs and Control Facilities.
02:49If your intended destination is a high-security area beyond Sector C, you will need to return to the Central Transit Hub in Area 9 and board a high-security train.
03:07If you have not yet submitted your identity to the Retinal Clearance System, you must report to Black Mesa personnel for processing before you will be permitted into the high-security branch of the Transit System.
03:19Due to the high toxicity of material routinely handled in the Black Mesa compound, no smoking, eating, or drinking are permitted within the Black Mesa Transit System.
03:49Please keep your limbs inside the train at all times.
04:14Do not attempt to open the doors until the train has come to a complete halt at the station platform.
04:21In the event of an emergency, passengers are to remain seated and await further instruction.
04:28If it is necessary to exit the train, disabled personnel should be evacuated first.
04:34Please stay away from electrified rails and proceed to an emergency station until assistance arrives.
04:43Thank you for traveling with us.
05:43Thank you for traveling with us.
06:14Remember, more lives than yours may depend on your fitness.
06:19Do you have a friend or relative who would make a valuable addition to the Black Mesa team?
06:44Immediate openings are available in the areas of Materials Handling and Low Clearance Security.
06:53Please contact Black Mesa personnel for further information.

08:18Now arriving at Sector C Test Labs and Control Facilities.
08:35Please stand back from the automated door and wait for the Security Officer to verify your identity.
08:43Before exiting the train, be sure to check your area for personal belongings.
08:49Thank you, and have a very safe and productive day.
09:00Morning, Mr. Freeman.
09:03Looks like you're running late.
09:14You know, Barney's been pretty scarce around these parts.
09:19Guess his bar tab must have finally caught up with him.
09:37Aw, man, you cut the ponytail.
09:40Aw, man, you cut the ponytail.
09:43Sellout.
09:58I had a bunch of messages for you, but we had a system crash about, I don't know, 20 minutes ago and I'm still trying to find my files.
10:06Just one of those days, I guess.
10:08They were also having some problems down in the test chamber, too, but I think that's all straightened out.
10:14They told me to make sure you headed down there as soon as you'd gotten to your hazard suit.
10:25Sergeant, Flayside.
10:27Report to.
10:29Topside. Checkpoint. Follow.
10:38What are you doing still running around up here?
10:43Gordo, you're on sundial and we need you on stopwatch. Hop to it.
10:47You're on stopwatch. Hop to it.
11:06Good morning, Dr. Freeman.
11:13Good morning, Gordon.
11:18The sample's just sent down to the test chamber.
11:21Good morning, Freeman.
11:25I've got this under control, Gordon.
11:33Drat.
11:34Drat.
12:04Dr. Escobedo, please call 3-2-1.
12:09You've got the wrong airlock, Mr. Freeman. You know I can't let you through here.
12:34Make haste, man. They're waiting for you down in the test chamber.
12:38Pfft. You're living in the past. That experiment is single-handedly responsible for a spike bomb in the air.
12:56Just head on up to the personal facilities and grab your HEV suit.
12:59Just head on up to the personal facilities and grab your HEV suit. I'll be right here waiting for you.
13:03Hold it right there, Mr. Freeman. I got explicit orders not to let you through without your help.
13:13Combined with today's technology, I've recreated...
13:15You suck.
13:16I can't stand that you're not a word in this department.
13:20Don't mind him.
13:22You're soft.
13:25You're soft. Thank you.
13:27You and your sugar-coated airsocks are absolutely full of it!
13:32Hello, Dr. Cross.
13:37They need you in the test chamber.
13:55Dr. Mataloff, report to Anomalous Materials Test Lab immediately.
13:58Dr. Mataloff, report to Anomalous Materials Test Lab immediately.
14:04Morning, champ.
14:05Hello.
14:07Another day, another dollar.
14:09These double shifts are starting to get to me.
14:11Why do we all have to wear these ridiculous ties?
14:41Oh, thanks.
14:48Drat. No toilet paper.
14:57Uh, hello?
14:59Hello?
15:00Could somebody get me some toilet paper?
15:03Oh, thank heavens.
15:05I'm in dire need of some toilet paper.
15:32Welcome to the HEV Mark IV protective system.
15:38For use in hazardous environment conditions.
15:42High-impact reactive armor activated.
15:47Atmospheric contaminant sensors activated.
15:51Vital sign monitoring activated.
15:55Automatic medical systems engaged.
15:59Defensive weapon selection system activated.
16:03Munition level monitoring activated.
16:07Communications interface online.
16:10Have a very safe day.
16:13Have a very safe day.
16:27Ah, I remember my days in my hazardous environment suit.
16:44Just a minute.
16:46Just a minute.
16:56Just a minute.
17:13I hope things return to normal.
17:17Ah, the network servers are unresponsive.
17:20Look, there ain't much I can do about it from here.
17:23There isn't much he can do, period.
17:25You are needed in the test chamber, Gordon.
17:27Everything is under control, Gordon.
17:29Everybody, get out your slates and chalk.
17:31Genius here can't fix the computer.
17:34Genius here can't fix the computer.
17:56You lost, Ace?
17:57Yeah, this is still the wrong airlock.
18:04You lost, Ace?
18:05Yeah, this is still the wrong airlock.
18:35Security, officer.
18:39Please report to office complex level 6, conference room B.
18:55Go right on through, sir.
19:00Looks like you're in the building.
19:04Looks like you're in the building.
19:35Did you catch that last question?
19:39Hmm. We should harness the remaining photonic energy...
19:42What's up, Doc?
19:47Hi.
19:50Ah, Gordon. There you are.
19:53Nice of you to finally join us, Doctor.
19:55We've just sent the sample down to the test chamber.
19:58We've boosted the anti-mass spectrometer to 105%.
20:02A bit of a gamble, but we needed the extra resolution.
20:06The administrator is very concerned that we get a conclusive analysis of today's sample.
20:11I gather he went to some lengths to get it.
20:14They're waiting for you, Gordon. In the test chamber.
20:18Right. Come on, then. I'll walk you down.
20:24Eli has been busy making last-minute preparations for the new experiment.
20:32Greetings, Eli.
20:34Morning, Izzy.
20:35I trust this morning finds you well?
20:38Gordon. Good morning.
20:40I'm glad you're here.
20:42These last-minute changes... they're a bit strange to just...
20:47Oh! It's about to go critical.
20:54What in the blazes is going on with our equipment?
20:58It was... never meant to do this in the first place.
21:03It's nothing we can't handle ourselves, Eli.
21:09By Becquerel's ghost!
21:11You know, the radiation level is off the charts. Glory, I had envisioned this as an undergrad.
21:15How so?
21:16I've got two PhDs in Earth Station.
21:19Greetings, Dr. Freeman.
21:21Oh, there you are.
21:23Everybody's been looking for you, hombre.
21:29Ah, here he is.
21:32I'm afraid we'll be deviating a bit from standard analysis procedure today, Gordon.
21:37Yes, yes, but with good reason. This is a rare opportunity for us.
21:41This is the purest sample we've seen yet.
21:44And, potentially, the most unstable.
21:47Now, as long as we follow standard insertion procedures, everything will be fine.
21:52I don't know how you can say that.
21:54Although I will admit that the possibility of a resonance cascade scenario is extremely unlikely.
22:00I just don't feel...
22:01Gordon doesn't need to hear all this.
22:04He's a highly trained professional.
22:06We've assured the administrator that nothing will go wrong.
22:10Yes, you're right.
22:13Gordon, we have complete confidence in you.
22:18Well, go ahead. Let's let him in now.
22:25...
22:39Testing. Testing.
22:44Everything seems to be in order.
22:48...
22:50All right, Gordon. Your suit should keep you comfortable through all this.
22:55The specimen will be delivered to you in a few moments.
22:58Now, if you would be so good as to climb up and start the rotors,
23:03that way we can bring the anti-mass spectrometer to 80%,
23:07and hold it there until the carrier arrives.
23:10...
23:26Very good. We'll take it from here.
23:30Power to stage one emitters in three, two, one.
23:36...
23:39I'm seeing predictable phase arrays.
23:48Stage two emitters activating now.
23:53Gordon, we cannot predict how long the system can operate at this level,
23:58nor how long the reading will take. Please work as quickly as you can.
24:04Overhead capacitors to 105%.
24:10Uh, it's probably not a problem. Probably.
24:14But I'm showing a small discrepancy in...
24:17Well, no. It's well within acceptable balance again.
24:21Sustaining sequence.
24:24We've just been informed that the sample is ready, Gordon.
24:28It should be coming up to you at any moment.
24:31Look to the delivery system for your specimen.
24:45Standard insertion for non-standard specimen.
24:53Go ahead, Gordon. Schlunk the carrier into the analysis port.
25:02...
25:05What is he doing in there?
25:08It's nothing you need to worry about.
25:11Go ahead, Gordon.
25:23Whoa!
25:25Get away from the...
25:27Oh, my God! Shut it down!
25:30Someone get him out of there and shut it down!
25:33It's not... It's not shutting down!
25:35Move down!
26:00Oh, my God!
26:30Oh, my God!
27:01Oh, my God!
27:14One, two, three, four...
27:19One, two, three...
27:26Damn it!
27:29Breathe!
27:31One, two, three, four...
27:36One, two...
27:40Breathe!
27:42Damn it!
27:47One, two...
27:58One, two...
28:06Attention. Sector C. Science personnel.
28:10Please report status immediately.
28:29Oh, my God!
28:34Listen, I tried to warn them.
28:38I never thought I'd see a resonance cascade, let alone create one.
28:44By shooting...
28:46I can't believe it.
28:48I can't believe it.
28:50I can't believe it.
28:54We can't even get a facility.
28:57We can't even get to the surface.
28:59We let someone know that we're stranded down here.
29:02There's no telling what kind of danger is...
29:06My God, what have we done?
29:10Fascinating.
29:12Would you believe that?
29:14We can't afford to waste time.
29:16You'll need me for the retinal scanner.
29:18I'm certain the rest of the science team will help you along the way.
29:23Keep this suit on until you're in the clear.
29:26You hear me?
29:34What an interesting anterior.
29:37I wonder where its stomach is.
29:45Help!
29:47Help me!
29:53Help!
29:55Help!
30:11Attention. Security personnel to Sector C immediately.
30:25Security personnel to Sector C immediately.
30:56Security personnel to Sector C immediately.
31:09Warning. High-energy detonation detected in materials lab.
31:26Help!
31:31Anyone! Can you hear me? Come help us! Get us to the elevator!
31:38Oh, shit!
31:41Get us the hell out of here!
31:44Help us!
31:46Help!
31:55Help!
32:11Power fifteen percent.
32:25Power fifteen percent.
32:41Gordon? Gordon?
32:44Man, am I glad to see you.
32:46What the hell are these things, man?
32:48And why are they wearing science team uniforms?
32:51Roger that. Let's run like hell.
32:54Excuse me.
33:01I'm gonna stay here and keep a lookout for anyone else who needs help.
33:06Oh, that's smart.
33:15You like that?
33:18Go, go, go!
33:21I think we have guests.
33:25Help me.

35:18Earth to Dr. Freeman.
35:37Let's see how you like this.
35:48Oh, God!
36:12Let's move on.
36:18Come on.
36:20Let's go.

37:34Feelin' lucky?
37:38Power thirty percent.

38:30I'll secure this area. I got your back.
38:51Don't let him get near ya!
38:57How do you like that?
38:59Ready to get going, sir?
39:01Suck it.

40:02I think I just got a promotion.
40:12Okay, I'm gonna try to call for help.
40:15You gotta get to the admin office upstairs.
40:18There's got to be someone there who can fix this.
40:22Come in, anybody.
40:24This is Sector C. How's the materials?
40:27We have an emergency situation.
40:39Help!
40:49Come on.

42:48Come on.
42:57Oh. Oh, wow. Okay.
43:00So that is going to be the first episode of Black Mesa.
43:05My thoughts? I'm blown away, especially considering this is...
43:10I believe it's a 10-year-old, 11-year-old game at this point.
43:14So it's not brand spankin' new either.
43:16just oh my god the um the love the the absolute love that this game is showing Half-Life um I'm
43:24really sorry y'all I didn't expect it to take the better part of an hour for me to find my crowbar
