00:09The Host is based on the best-selling novel by Stephanie Myers.
00:12We know Stephanie Myers from the Twilight Saga.
00:15So Earth is invaded by an unseen enemy.
00:19Human are used as hosts.
00:22Their minds are taken over.
00:24Their bodies seem to stay intact
00:26and seem to kinda go on about their lives sort of unchanged.
00:30There is no hunger, honesty, courtesy, and kindness are practiced by all.
00:41The world has never been more perfect.
00:51It is no longer your world.
00:55So, when Melanie is captured, Melanie is one of the last free or wild humans.
01:02So, when she's captured, she feels now this is the end for her.
01:06The invaders are prepared and warned about the conflict that happens when they invade a human body.
01:14There's the emotions, the senses, the vivid memories.
01:19The one thing these invaders were not prepared for was the fight back by Melanie and not prepared to kind of give over possession or hand over possession of her mind.
01:29So, I think we have a really cool story here and it's supported by a really good cast.
01:33We have Saoirse Ronan.

01:39Who I think is one of our finest actresses.
01:42You'll know her from The Lovely Bones and Hannah.
01:44We also have Diane Kruger, who you'll know from Inglourious Bastards.
01:48And rounding off the cast, we have Jake Abel, Max Irons, and William Hurt.
01:54I think the success of this movie is going to come down to the director, Andrew Nichol.
01:59I think if he can create a believable world and keep us captivated from beginning to end, I think it's going to be a success.
