President Donald Trump addressed U.S. troops at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a strategic hub for American military operations in the Middle East. With “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH” overhead, Trump emphasized American resolve amid regional tensions. The event featured a morale-boosting stand-up act by comedian Theo Von and showcased U.S. and Qatari military hardware, including an F-15 fighter jet and an MQ-9 Reaper drone. The visit marks a pivotal moment in Trump’s Middle East tour as geopolitical tensions remain high.

00:00Well, thank you very much, everybody.
00:02This is an honor.
00:04What a beautiful group of people you are.
00:06You are good.
00:07I wish I looked like you.
00:08I would've been President 20 years ago if I looked
00:11like you.
00:13But I want to give a special hello to Al Udeid
00:17Air Base, sometimes referred to as the Deed.
00:21That's a little sinister term.
00:23The Deed.
00:24Today, we can all relax and be at ease, and we're
00:27going to have a little fun.
00:29I have nothing else to do, so let's have a little
00:31fun, right?
00:32So, I'm thrilled to be here with the men and
00:40women who embody American strength and pride, the
00:42warriors of the United States Armed Forces.
00:46It's an amazing group of people.
00:49You are, without a doubt, the greatest fighting
00:51force in the history of the world.
00:53That's the way it is.
00:54I said it last night.
00:55I said it strong.
00:56We have the strongest military in the world.
00:58It's not even a contest.
01:00We have the best equipment.
01:01Nobody has equipment like us.
01:03Nobody has the planes or the missiles or anything
01:05else.
01:07And as your Commander-in-Chief, I'm here
01:09to say that America's military will soon be
01:12bigger, better, stronger, and more powerful than
01:15ever before.
01:16We just did a budget.
01:18The budget was the highest, by far.
01:20Over a trillion dollars.
01:21It's a lot.
01:23That's a lot of stuff.
01:24And hopefully, it's peace through strength.
01:25Hopefully, we don't have to use it because if we
01:29use it, I feel sorry for the other guy, but we
01:32don't want to have to use it.
01:35I want to recognize a true warrior, and that's
01:37our Secretary of Defense.
01:39They put him through hell.
01:41The radical left did.
01:43And he's incredible.
01:45You know, he went to the best schools.
01:47He did the best stuff.
01:49He's a smart guy, and he's a great guy.
01:51And I just listened to his words standing
01:54backstage when he was speaking, and he really
01:56has it right on the peg.
01:58Pete Hegseth, he's going to be great.
02:00You're going to love this guy.
02:01You're going to love him.
02:02And I also want to influence you to clap for
02:17a man who's a great influencer.
02:19In fact, my son, Barron, said, Dad, you got to do
02:23an interview with somebody I hadn't heard of.
02:27But my son knew very well.
02:28He knows everyone.
02:29He said, Dad, this is before the election.
02:32You know, we won in a landslide, in case you
02:34hadn't known.
02:35But he said, Dad, you got to do an interview with a
02:38guy named Theo Vaughn.
02:40I said, Who the hell is Theo Vaughn?
02:42He said, Dad, he's such a big guy, you got to do an
02:45interview.
02:46So he knew all the names.
02:47I didn't know the names.
02:49And where is Theo?
02:50He's around here someplace, I think.
02:52Theo, thank you very much.
02:54And that's Barron.
03:02You know Barron.
03:02He said, You got to do with him.
03:04We had a good time, right?
03:05We had a good time.
03:06We had, like, 270 million people that listened.
03:09So, you know what?
03:10I think Barron was right.
03:12Thank you for being here, Theo.
03:13Appreciate it.
03:15Also, Lee Greenwood, right from the beginning.
03:17That song went on.
03:18And, you know, that song was a successful song, but
03:20we made it the most.
03:21Number one.
03:22We made that song.
03:25It's the top of the list of that type of song.
03:28That's a pretty big.
03:28I don't want to go into the list because you'll
03:30get upset with me if I do, like, the national anthem
03:35and things.
03:36It's like, and it became unbelievable.
03:40And I was saying you could get Elvis or anybody else
03:42to do a song.
03:43There's nothing.
03:45That was my intro song right from the beginning.
03:48Because, as you know, we won three elections.
03:50Okay?
03:51And some people want us to do a fourth.
03:54I don't know.
03:55We'll have to think about that.
03:57You saw the new hat.
03:59The hottest hat is it says, Trump 2028.
04:02We're driving the left crazy.
04:04When you see that, we didn't need that hat.
04:08But it was, it's been an amazing period of time.
04:13And when Lee Greenwood did that song, it went from
04:16the first day I came out and played it, it was a
04:19great song, but we didn't know.
04:20And then I did it a second time, a third time.
04:23Now, that was 968 rallies ago.
04:27Can you believe that?
04:27We did 968 rouses.
04:30Another hat says 968.
04:32I said, What the hell does that mean?
04:33That's a number of rallies.
04:34I said, You have to be kidding.
04:36But from the very beginning, and we played
04:39Lee's song and it was the walk on.
04:42And then for the last inauguration, I had every
04:45all the big singers.
04:46They wanted to do a song for me and they wanted to
04:49have me walk on to their song and my people.
04:51That would be nice.
04:52I'd be nice.
04:53And what I heard about it.
04:55We're all set.
04:56We had a lot of them.
04:57And I heard about it.
04:58I said, I'm not switch.
05:00Are you kidding me?
05:01I'm not switching.
05:02So we stick with Lee.
05:03But there's nobody could have done better than Lee.
05:06And he's been so loyal and so great.
05:08And it's been really about nine years of that stuff.
05:12And, you know, we had really honestly, we had
05:14three unbelievable campaigns.
05:17And it's been it's been an honor.
05:19And there's nobody been stronger than the military
05:22in terms of backing us.
05:23Nobody.
05:23So I just want to thank you all very much.
05:25Great honor.
05:26Thank you very much.
05:27And also with us today is a really a great talent
05:32and somebody who's one of the most popular
05:44television hosts in history.
05:46Still looks young to me, but he's been doing a
05:48long time.
05:48But he's an incredible man.
05:50He's always seems to take my side.
05:53And therefore, I like him even more.
05:55But he has a he has common sense.
05:57We talk about common sense all the time.
05:59But he's one of the biggest in the history of
06:02television.
06:03The great Sean Hannity.
06:05He's here someplace.
06:06Sean, stand up wherever you are.
06:09Thank you, Sean.
06:11Where is he?
06:14Thank you, Sean.
06:14Thank you, Sean.
06:19He was a little shy for a change.
06:20I did.
06:21I've never seen that.
06:23We're also grateful to have a very excellent
06:26ambassador, Timmy Davis.
06:28Everybody loves him.
06:29Timmy, thank you very much.
06:30Along with your great military leaders, real.
06:39These are real leaders.
06:40These are real tough cookies.
06:43Lieutenant General Derek Trapper, France.
06:47Major General David Shoemaker.
06:50Brigadier General Richard Deuce Dickens.
06:53Chief Master Sergeants Chris Murphy and Joshua
06:57Weiner and Colonel Brian Ellis.
07:01We want to thank you.
07:02Amazing people.
07:03They're real leaders.
07:04And this is one of the great bases anywhere in
07:06the world.
07:07And we're lucky to have them.
07:08Thank you very much, fellas.
07:10And a very special thanks as well to our partners
07:15from the Qatar Army and Armed Forces.
07:28Let's give them a really special hand.
07:31They are so great.
07:33They are so good.
07:34And in particular, we want to be grateful to the
07:45Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Saoud.
07:51Where are you, Saoud?
07:53Thank you very much.
07:54Great.
07:56It's an honor.
07:56Yesterday, we signed an agreement for Qatar to
08:04purchase $42 billion worth of the finest American
08:08military hardware, including THAAD missile
08:10batteries, Pegasus refueling aircraft,
08:14Desert Vipers, light armored vehicles, amphibious
08:18combat vehicles, the MQ-9B, and the Sky
08:24Guardian drones.
08:25That's all the best stuff, isn't it?
08:27If it isn't, please stand up and tell me and we'll
08:28get something else.
08:30But I believe it's the best.
08:32Qatar will also be investing $10 billion to
08:36support this massive base in the coming years.
08:40And there's no place like it, they say.
08:43And a man, the leader, Amir, he's been a special
08:49friend of mine for a long time.
08:51Long before I did the political thing.
08:53When he was a novice, he was a young guy, and we
08:56got to know each other.
08:57We liked each other and got along long before I
09:00ever thought of running for President.
09:02And it's nice when you have that kind of a
09:04relationship.
09:05We got along right from the beginning.
09:06He's a special guy.
09:07He's a great leader.
09:09Great leader of your country.
09:11So, I want to just congratulate you on that.
09:14And all the Qatari people, a spectacular
09:18group, and it's an honor.
09:19And I don't think our friendship has ever been
09:21stronger than it is right now.
09:23It's a — you had the last administration.
09:26I don't know if they knew too much about what was
09:28happening, but this administration does.
09:30And you will never see anything like the
09:32relationship that we have.
09:34We just left Saudi Arabia, as you know.
09:36And you have a fantastic Crown Prince.
09:40He is a fantastic guy, likewise.
09:43And we're going — from here, we're going to UAE
09:47and United Arab Emirates, and we're going to see
09:52another leader.
09:53We have — it's an amazing part of the world, and our
09:56relationship has never been stronger.
09:59And you're going to see that as time goes by.
10:01But with us, it's not words.
10:03As you know, I'm in the midst of a very historic
10:05trip, visiting the key partners in the Gulf.
10:09We had just some incredible stopovers
10:13and a wonderful day.
10:15Yesterday, we had the dinner, however, with His
10:19Highness the Emir.
10:22And he is — I'm going to see him in a little while.
10:25I'm going to be saying goodbye to him, but we'll
10:27be saying hello again very, very soon.
10:30But no visit in the Gulf would be complete without
10:33stopping to salute the people who keep America
10:35safe, strong, and free, and the patriots of the
10:38United States Army, Navy, Space Force.
10:41I love Space Force.
10:43That's — I have to say, that's my little baby.
10:47You know, I started that.
10:48They said, that will never work.
10:50Oh, it worked.
10:51You know, we were way behind Russia and China,
10:55and now we're way, way ahead of everybody.
10:57So, Space Force, I'm very happy.
10:59That was my — you know, not since the Air Force
11:02has that happened.
11:03So, we created a force, and it's a big force, and
11:07it's a brilliant force.
11:08So, Space Force, thank you for doing such a great job.
11:11The Marines and, of course, the United States
11:13Air Force.
11:14Al Udeid is the home of the legendary 379th Air
11:20Expeditionary Wing, known as the Grand Slam Wing.
11:24We also have the first Expeditionary Theater
11:28Support Group.
11:29You got them all.
11:30And let's not forget the top-notch Army soldiers
11:33from the 11th Air Defense Artillery.
11:36The Imperial Brigade.
11:38Thank you, fellas.
11:39That's great.
11:40We also have the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility
11:44Squadron, known as Mighty Ochos.
11:46Where are the Ochos?
11:49We don't want to fight with them.
11:50All of you are the tip of the spear.
11:53You're the finest we have.
11:54Anywhere in the world, you're the finest we have.
11:56You're the finest anyone has in the fight against
11:59the enemies of civilization.
12:02You're the people that are defeating chaos,
12:05combating terror, defending our interests,
12:08supporting our allies, securing our homeland,
12:10and making America incredibly proud.
12:13And you know what?
12:13Making America great again.
12:15That's what's happened.
12:16It's happened very fast.
12:17It's happened very fast.
12:19As President, my priority is to end conflicts, not
12:29start them.
12:30But I will never hesitate to wield American power if
12:34it's necessary to defend the United States of
12:36America or our partners.
12:39And this is one of our great partners right here.
12:42When we're threatened, America's military will
12:44answer our enemies without even thinking about it.
12:47We have overwhelming strength and devastating
12:50force.
12:51And we had people that didn't like to talk about
12:53that, you know?
12:54They didn't want to talk about the level of quality
12:57that we have.
12:58They didn't want to talk about anything.
12:59They didn't.
13:00We're going to have a big parade this year, you
13:01know, in Washington, D.C.
13:03A real parade.
13:05And I'll tell you just a little story.
13:06A week ago, May 8th, I'd call up a certain country
13:11and they said, Oh, we're celebrating the victory of
13:15World War Two today, sir.
13:17Oh, really?
13:18I'd speak to one of the presidents or prime
13:21ministers or whatever.
13:23And they were so busy.
13:24Oh, yes, we're celebrating the victory of World War
13:27Two.
13:28Then I'd speak to another one that they were
13:30celebrating.
13:32And the fact is, Russia was celebrating.
13:33France was celebrating.
13:35Everybody was celebrating but us.
13:37And we're the ones that won the war.
13:40We won the war.
13:41And they helped.
13:49But without us, they don't win the war.
13:50We're all speaking German.
13:53You know that, right?
13:54Without us, they're speaking German, maybe a
13:56little Japanese, too.
13:59We won the war.
14:00And we're the only ones that didn't celebrate.
14:02So what I did is I got my crack staff over there and
14:07we did it every time we have May 8th.
14:09And we also have the date in November, that sacred
14:12date in November for World War One because we won
14:14that war, too.
14:16But think of it.
14:17I'm calling now.
14:18We love France, right?
14:20But I think we did a little more to win the war
14:23than France did.
14:23Do we agree?
14:25You know, I don't want to be a wise guy.
14:27But when Hitler made his speech at the Eiffel Tower,
14:33I would say that wasn't exactly ideal.
14:38And I called up the President Macron.
14:40Good guy, by the way.
14:42Donald, we are celebrating our victory over the
14:46Germans.
14:46Oh, that's wonderful.
14:48No, we don't take credit for what we do.
14:51And I said, what the hell?
14:52Every country I've spoken to in the last week is
14:54celebrating the war but us.
14:56Isn't that terrible?
14:57So we're going to be doing holidays.
15:01But I said, it has to be a working holiday because
15:03we, you know, you can only do so many of them.
15:06We have a lot of holidays.
15:07I'm not so sure we should have them.
15:08And you don't have to go to work.
15:10Our country has to go to work.
15:12So we're going to have a working holiday for each
15:14one of those two dates.
15:16And we're going to be celebrating, too, because
15:18we should celebrate more than anybody else.
15:20And others did help a lot, but nobody helped like us.
15:23We wouldn't have won.
15:24I mean, the fact is, not winnable without us.
15:27And now we're stronger than ever before.
15:29You know, I rebuilt the military in my first term.
15:32We had a great first term everywhere.
15:34We had the greatest economy ever.
15:36Stock market up 88 percent.
15:38The biggest rise ever.
15:40And all of that stuff.
15:41But the second term is going to be even better.
15:43We have over $10 trillion going to be invested in
15:48our country.
15:49And this little tour didn't hurt, I will tell
15:50you, between the three great places.
15:53I recently announced that I'll approve an
15:56unprecedented $1 trillion, as I told you, and it's
15:59going to end up going higher investment in the
16:01U.S.
16:02Armed Forces.
16:03And that's a record as part of that effort.
16:05I signed an order to build the Golden Dome Missile
16:09Defense Shield to protect our country from missile
16:12attack.
16:13Is everybody okay with that?
16:15It was called the Iron Dome, but I changed it to
16:25the Golden Dome.
16:26I thought it was a little more beautiful, maybe a
16:29little more modern or something.
16:31But we're going to have it.
16:32And it's it's amazing, actually, what they do is,
16:36you know, it's going to cost many billions of
16:38dollars.
16:40All made in the USA.
16:41I want it all made in the USA.
16:42The days of making our parts all over the world
16:45because we have wonderful partners.
16:47No, it's America first now.
16:49America first.
16:50We're going to make it all in the USA.
16:53And we're going to, by the way, it's America
16:54first, but we're going to take care of other
16:57countries.
16:57We have plenty left over because we're doing things
17:00now.
17:01You know, six months ago, our country was laughed
17:05at.
17:07Now our country is respected again at a
17:09level that it hasn't seen in a long, long time.
17:12And we're going to keep it that way.
17:14And our Air Force will soon have the world's
17:17first and only sixth generation fighter jet,
17:20the F-47.
17:22Why did they name it 47?
17:24Does anybody know?
17:25I don't know.
17:26It was a nice thing, but it's quite the plane.
17:31They say it's there's never been anything done.
17:34But we're also looking at an increased version of
17:37the F-35.
17:39I think we're going to call it the F-55, which
17:42will be a double-engine plane.
17:44I like two engines on a plane.
17:45I'm sorry if I say that.
17:47But does that make sense to anybody?
17:49Does anybody agree?
17:50General, do you agree with that?
17:51I like it.
17:53So many of them say, sir, this engine is
17:55infallible.
17:56No engine is infallible.
17:58I like two engines on a plane.
18:01Should have been made with two engines.
18:03If I were here, you would have two engines and you
18:05would have had a lot of other victories, by the way.
18:07But we're going to do — when you think of it,
18:10Russia-Ukraine would have never started.
18:13October 7th, Israel would have never happened
18:19because Iran, as you know, is broke.
18:21They were unable to fund Hamas or anything else.
18:25It wouldn't have happened.
18:27We wouldn't have had the disaster of Afghanistan,
18:29the leaving.
18:30We were getting out, but we're getting out with
18:32dignity and strength.
18:33We're going to keep Bagram Air Base.
18:35We aren't going to give that up because it's one
18:36hour away from China.
18:38One hour.
18:39You know who occupies it now?
18:40China.
18:42The damage that that administration did to this
18:44country is legendary.
18:46Allowing 21 million people through an open border
18:49where anybody could walk into the United States of
18:52America is something that will never be forgiven.
18:56Grossly incompetent and evil.
18:58Bad people, too.
18:59Bad people.
19:01But the real strength of our military doesn't come
19:05from its fighter jets.
19:06It really comes from our people.
19:09That's you.
19:09It comes from our people.
19:11You're unbelievable people.
19:12The aptitude and all of the things you have to do
19:15to do what you do.
19:17You know, I look at some of those engines, and I'm a
19:20pretty smart cookie.
19:22I will tell you, I'm real smart.
19:24And I look at you and you take those engines apart
19:26and put them back together, blindfolded, and
19:29fix them up.
19:29It's amazing what you're able to do.
19:31And then to fly them.
19:33Just incredible.
19:34You're incredible.
19:35You're a very special group of people.
19:37And that's why in my 2026 budget includes across the
19:44border.
19:44Maybe you don't want it.
19:45Look, for the good of the country, you don't have to
19:47take it.
19:48Pay raises for each and every one of you.
19:50Substantial pay raises.
19:51But you don't have to take it.
19:53You don't have to take.
20:04You can go to your commanding officer and
20:07say, Sir, I'd rather not take that pay.
20:09And I love my country, sir.
20:11I don't want.
20:12I refuse to take it.
20:13Anybody here?
20:13Raise your hand, please, if you refuse to take it.
20:16Let's see here.
20:17All right.
20:17Well, at least at least we have smart people.
20:20That's good.
20:22So you do your duty for us.
20:24And as commander in chief, I will always do and
20:28fulfill my duty to you.
20:29That's what I'm doing.
20:31Under the Trump administration, we're
20:33liberating everything and our armed forces from
20:38really radical social experiments carried out
20:41under the previous administration.
20:43And beyond that, and actually beyond that, and
20:46restoring the strong and fierce spirit of the
20:49American warrior and the American fighter.
20:52On day one, I signed an executive order stopping
20:55our service members from being forced to endure
20:58endless training sessions on political correctness.
21:02We don't care if you're politically correct.
21:05And I directed the reinstatement of all
21:07patriots expelled from our military by the COVID
21:10vaccine mandate, which should have never
21:12happened.
21:13They're being returned at their former rank with
21:16full back pay.
21:19Very important.
21:20After years of not making our enrollment targets, to
21:24me, this is the biggest thing.
21:26Our military suddenly has the best recruiting
21:28numbers that perhaps they've ever had, but
21:31certainly in 30 years.
21:33Think of that.
21:34You go back six months ago, we couldn't get
21:37people to join the military.
21:38Nobody wanted your job.
21:40Now everybody wants your job.
21:42So we went from having the worst numbers we've
21:45ever had in terms of recruitment.
21:48That included police officers, also firefighters,
21:51but police officers.
21:53But in the military, think of that.
21:55You couldn't get people to join the military.
21:57And now we're brimming over.
22:00We have the highest numbers we probably
22:03minimum 30 years, but probably have ever had
22:07because there's such an incredible spirit now in
22:09our country.
22:10We have a whole new spirit.
22:12And it began on a date, November 5th.
22:15That was Election Day.
22:17Under the Trump administration, America is
22:19back and America's military is back.
22:22Bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.
22:26Since my inauguration, service members stationed
22:29throughout this region have terminated.
22:32Eighty-three major terrorists operating
22:35across Iraq, Syria, and Somalia, including the
22:39number two, just recently, global leader of ISIS.
22:42And I knocked out ISIS, as you know, in my term.
22:46They said it was going to take four years.
22:49I said, Why four years?
22:51That's a long time.
22:52And then I met a general, Raisin Cane.
22:55He's now the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
22:57Right?
22:58And he was great.
22:59He said, We could do it in three weeks, sir.
23:03I said, Well, I was told four years, General, by
23:07senior television generals in Washington, D.C.
23:11And he didn't want to be disrespectful to them.
23:14He said, Sir, I'm telling you, you want?
23:16We can do it in three weeks.
23:17And that's what he did.
23:18He knocked out 100 percent of the ISIS caliphate in
23:23three weeks.
23:24Should I tell you a little long, boring story about
23:30that?
23:30Yes.
23:31Okay.
23:32Some of you have heard it because it's sort of a
23:35cool story.
23:35But I was wondering why we couldn't defeat, you know,
23:39ISIS.
23:39We have this great military, all these great
23:42jets that we have new all over the place, the best
23:46in the world, the fastest, the best.
23:49And I went out and I said to a certain general in
23:53Washington, D.C., a television general, Now,
23:56much of this is a real general on television.
24:01You have the television guys and you have the real
24:02generals.
24:04Then I said, General, how long will it take us?
24:07Because it doesn't make sense.
24:08We're spending a lot of money on defeating ISIS,
24:11and they don't have great equipment.
24:12They, in many cases, don't even have equipment.
24:15They're vicious and they are good fighters.
24:17We always have to respect that.
24:19Sir, it'll take at least five years, sir.
24:24I said, five years, that's a long time.
24:27I mean, we have jets, they have knives.
24:28It's going to take five years.
24:30Yes, sir.
24:32I said, I don't really believe that.
24:35So I did something that I've never done before.
24:38I said, I want to go to Iraq and I want to meet
24:42with the people in Iraq because maybe they're
24:45different.
24:45But I couldn't understand how a large and powerful
24:49terror group could last so long.
24:53And so I scheduled a flight, meaning I left at
24:58three o'clock in the morning.
25:00It was pitch black.
25:02We left very, very under guard.
25:05We traveled through Washington, D.C.
25:09There was nobody around.
25:10Got to the hangar at about 315.
25:13Air Force One was waiting for us.
25:15Pilots, best looking human beings I've ever seen.
25:18Even better looking than Tom Cruise, and he's a
25:19friend of mine.
25:20Okay.
25:22These guys were central casting and they could
25:24also fly.
25:25And we headed out about three thirty in the
25:29morning, pitch black.
25:30We headed for Iraq and nobody knew I was going.
25:34Nobody.
25:35And we're flying and we're starting to get close.
25:40And they come to see me and they say, Sir, we have
25:43a problem.
25:43What?
25:44We're flying over enemy territory very soon, sir.
25:47Could we please turn off your lights?
25:49I said, My lights were flying in Air Force One.
25:52We just spent trillions of dollars on fighting the
25:56idea.
25:56You can't fly in with lights on.
25:59No, sir.
25:59It's very, very dangerous out there.
26:02So I said, Obviously, turn them off.
26:04Then he comes in.
26:05In addition to the lights, we want to turn down the
26:07shade.
26:07So I said, You mean not even shades?
26:08Okay, we turn down the shades.
26:10They said, I want to go upstairs.
26:12This is 747 two levels.
26:15Beautiful plane just started.
26:16New ones, by the way, beautiful, beautiful, new
26:18ones.
26:19And Boeing just, by the way, did the biggest
26:21order in the history of Boeing.
26:23Just did with your beautiful territory right
26:27here.
26:28They ordered, I think, 160 planes.
26:30I think it's the largest order ever for aircraft.
26:33So I salute the people from Boeing, Kelly and
26:35everybody and General Electric.
26:37The engines are General Electric Super Prime.
26:41And I really think it's great.
26:43Congratulations.
26:44But I go up to the to see the pilots because I love
26:48sitting with the pilots.
26:49I admire their skill.
26:50I really do like amazing, especially at a certain
26:53level.
26:54And when you when you fly Air Force One,
26:55supposedly you're the best pilot.
26:58So I hope that's true, by the way.
27:00But it seems to be.
27:01I have no complaints.
27:02We land.
27:03It's like always landing like glass.
27:05I've had pilots where when you land, it's not a
27:07pretty picture.
27:07In fact, you admire the plane so much for being
27:10able to keep apart.
27:12You know, I mean, sometimes I land with some
27:14of these guys.
27:15You're bouncing down the runway.
27:17I'm saying these planes are amazing that they
27:19don't crack up.
27:21But these pilots land.
27:22That's I mean, and the 747 is a hard one to land,
27:26but they're great.
27:26So I go up, I see the pilots.
27:28I say, hi, Captain.
27:29The guy is a handsome guy.
27:30We've got a blonde flat top.
27:33I'd like to have a flat top like that.
27:36I don't know if the hair is good enough for that.
27:38I don't think so.
27:39I don't think I'm going to try it either.
27:42But perfect person.
27:44And I look at the right.
27:45He's perfect.
27:45Everybody was perfect.
27:47They're like perfect human beings.
27:49I said, how are we doing, Captain?
27:51We're doing fine, sir.
27:52We'll be there in half hour, sir.
27:55I said, they want the lights turned off,
27:56Captain.
27:57They do.
27:58Yes, sir.
27:58They're doing the right thing.
27:59Oh, that's great, Captain.
28:00That's it's great.
28:01So now we're 15 more minutes.
28:04And all of a sudden, and most of you know this
28:06sound because that's what you do.
28:07But you have the computer voice, a beautiful voice
28:09where it says 1,900.
28:12They're talking about feet.
28:14So when you're in the big planes and
28:16sophisticated planes, the voice comes on and I'm
28:18sitting back there watching them fly it
28:20beautifully.
28:21And I'm still not 100 percent happy with the
28:23statement that he agrees that the light should be
28:26turned off.
28:27I would have preferred that he said, no, there's
28:28no problem.
28:30But that's not what he said.
28:31So we're going through and it goes 1,900.
28:37800, 700 talking about feet.
28:45Now, 700 is getting pretty close to the
28:46ground.
28:47I don't see a thing.
28:48There's no lights.
28:49There's no runway.
28:50And I've done this a lot.
28:51And I always see the runway in the distance.
28:53I have fairly good eyes.
28:55I'd say for my age, extremely good eyes.
28:58And I don't see a runway.
29:00Six hundred, five hundreds.
29:04Captain, are we okay?
29:06Yes, sir.
29:07We'll be landing in just a few minutes, sir.
29:09Four hundred.
29:10Captain, are we okay?
29:11I don't see a runway up there, Captain.
29:14We're fine, sir.
29:15No problem, sir.
29:18Three hundred, two hundred.
29:21I'm saying, Captain, you sure we're okay here?
29:25And he said, we're fine, sir.
29:28And then, boom, you know, it just lands that thing
29:31so beautifully.
29:32And I see they had no light.
29:35They had no nothing.
29:35I don't know how the hell they do it.
29:37Okay?
29:38All I know is we landed like — and for him, it
29:40was routine.
29:42And I'm trying to pretend I'm cool as a cucumber.
29:44You know, I'm your President.
29:46I'm supposed to be cool as a cucumber.
29:48And I'm like — you know, I'm like — I'm not happy.
29:53But after we land, I actually went to my
29:56people and I said, I want to ask you a question.
29:57I did a very brave thing just there.
30:00Is the President allowed to designate himself for
30:03the Congressional Medal of Honor?
30:04And they said, sir, honestly, that wouldn't
30:10be good.
30:11I said, okay.
30:12So, anyway, we get — I kid.
30:13You know, I have to say I kid because the fake news
30:15is back there.
30:16And they'll actually — no, it's true.
30:18And they'll say that the President wanted to give
30:20himself the Congressional Medal of Honor, and he
30:23was talked out of it by his staff.
30:26So, anyway.
30:26So, I get — the door opens.
30:29We have a platform.
30:30And I have — I sit down, I look down, and I see all
30:33— these are all specimens, just like you
30:35guys.
30:36We're all perfect people.
30:37And I'm seeing a couple of generals, a couple of
30:41staff sergeants, and drill sergeants.
30:44But everybody is like from a movie.
30:46And I walk out of the plane and meet the first
30:50gentleman.
30:52And I said, what's your name?
30:54He said, Cain, sir.
30:55My name is Cain.
30:56And I said, hello, Cain.
30:58What's your first name?
30:59Well, they call me Raisin.
31:01I said, wait a minute, Raisin.
31:03You mean like Raisin Cain?
31:05Yes, sir, that's what they call me.
31:07General, I love you.
31:08You're the guy I'm looking for, General.
31:11You're the guy I'm looking for.
31:13So, he's Raisin Cain.
31:14It's Daniel Cain, but Raisin Cain, that's what
31:17they call him.
31:17Then I met another general.
31:18I met a colonel.
31:19I met a sergeant.
31:20We all — they said, sir, would you like to rest?
31:24I said, what do you mean rest?
31:25I've been resting on the plane.
31:26I don't want to rest.
31:27What do I have to rest for?
31:28He was thinking about Biden to come, okay?
31:31Biden.
31:32Biden would have rested the entire trip.
31:33He wouldn't — first of all, he wouldn't have
31:35made the trip.
31:36But if he landed, he would have been rested for
31:38about five days before he had the first meeting.
31:40I said, no, let's go have the meeting because I
31:42want to find out what's going on over here.
31:44We're spending a lot of money, and people are
31:47being killed.
31:48I want to find out why it's taking so long.
31:50So, let's go right away.
31:51So, we went to the — almost like a — just a
31:54very secure room that was in the form of a boardroom.
31:57Very professional, however.
31:59It was very highly sophisticated with the
32:01equipment.
32:02Best you can buy.
32:03We have the best you can buy all the time.
32:06But I went into the room and I said, General, so
32:10they tell me in Washington it would take four to
32:12five years to defeat ISIS.
32:16And I want to know from you, is that true or is
32:18that — no, sir.
32:20But it's not my place to say, sir, because they
32:24are the ones that are called the shots.
32:25I said, well, if you disagreed, you do — it's
32:29not the military way, sir.
32:30You have to listen to them.
32:31That's a chain of command.
32:32I said, oh, that's great.
32:33I'm not sure I like that system.
32:35But how long do you think it would take you if I
32:37gave you total authority to go in and knock the
32:41hell out of them?
32:42Sir, it would take approximately three weeks.
32:46I say, say it again, General.
32:49I was told five years.
32:51Sir, it'll take three weeks and you'll have time
32:53left over.
32:55I said, you got to be kidding me.
32:58Where the hell have you been?
33:00And then I sort of was really in disbelief
33:03because I said, you know, I've been hearing for so
33:05long we've been fighting it.
33:06How long will we fight him?
33:07Eighteen years or something.
33:09And here's a guy telling me three weeks.
33:12So I said, General, how do you do it in three weeks?
33:14He says, well, sir, I don't like saying this
33:16because I do have people in Washington, but I'm
33:18going to say it.
33:19We have portable stations.
33:21We have portable runways.
33:22We have runways all over the place.
33:23We have other bases.
33:25And we're being forced to fight them from a very
33:27far away, distant base, which is right here.
33:30And by the time we get there, we have to come
33:32back because there's no fuel.
33:33And we're way too far away, sir.
33:36And they're over here.
33:37And he shows me a map.
33:39And we're over here.
33:40And we're all the way here, sir.
33:42I said, why didn't they use the other bases?
33:44Well, they didn't want to disturb the country where
33:47those bases were located.
33:49I said, we give those countries billions of
33:51dollars.
33:52We can disturb them a little bit.
33:53They wouldn't know what we're doing anyway.
33:55Are they going to know where the planes are
33:56going?
33:57Not really, sir.
33:59I said, so what would you do different?
34:00He said, well, sir, I'd start from here and I'd
34:02get it.
34:03He went through a whole thing.
34:05And I'd hit him from the left.
34:06I'd hit him from the right.
34:08I'd hit him from underneath.
34:10I'd hit him from a top.
34:12I'd hit him from every angle, sir.
34:14I'd hit him so hard and so fast.
34:16They wouldn't know what the hell is happening.
34:19I said, and you think you can do that in three
34:22weeks?
34:22Sir, we're going to have time left over.
34:25And I said, let me think about it.
34:27General.
34:28I went back to Washington and I spoke to a couple of
34:31people and they said, I don't think so, sir.
34:34I think you're talking about years of fighting.
34:37And then I called the general and I said, so
34:41general, you still think you can do it in three
34:43weeks?
34:43A lot of people think you can't even come close to
34:46that.
34:46Sir, we'll have time left over.
34:49I said, go to a general, go to it.
34:53Thank you, sir.
34:55And he hit the hell out of him.
34:57He hit the hell out of him.
34:59And he calls me up, sir.
35:03We have a lot of these people.
35:08And if you want, I can finish it off right now,
35:10sir.
35:12I said, well, I don't know.
35:14That's a lot.
35:14It's, you know, it's a lot of people.
35:16Well, these people are not good people, sir.
35:19These are not good people.
35:20You'll feel better about it.
35:22Well, they're not good people, but they're people,
35:24aren't they?
35:25And he goes, I said, you know what?
35:27Why don't you buzz them for a little while?
35:28And maybe after a day or two of buzzing them,
35:30they'll surrender.
35:31They don't know about surrendering, sir.
35:33Well, maybe they'll raise the white flag.
35:34They don't have a white flag, sir.
35:37I said, well, give it a shot.
35:39Anyway, he said, all we're going to do is take a
35:41couple of bullet holes in our wings.
35:43You guys know about that, right?
35:45And I said, well, let's give it a shot.
35:48And he calls up and says, let me do the job, sir.
35:50I said, all right, do the job.
35:53And we defeated 100 percent of the ISIS
35:57caliphate in just a very short little period of
35:59time.
36:00Totally different from what I was told in
36:03Washington, D.C.
36:04by a bunch of frickin losers.
36:06Okay, losers.
36:09And that's the beginning.
36:11And I took that general and made him the head of
36:13the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as I told you.
36:16And he's going to be great.
36:17And he's highly respected by everybody, just a
36:19different kind of respect to it's a real respect.
36:22But we can do our job better than anybody in
36:25the world.
36:26But you have to have the leadership of the top at
36:28the top.
36:28And we're doing that.
36:30We're finding, you know, we we let a lot of four
36:32stars go.
36:34A lot of four.
36:34We had more four stars.
36:35We had, I think, 425 four stars in World War Two,
36:40which, by the way, we won in World War Two.
36:43We had 187 generals and we had like 425 generals
36:50now without really a war.
36:54And so we made a lot of changes and we have the
36:57best.
36:58We have the best.
36:58We figured we worked hard to figure the best, the
37:01real ones.
37:02We want the real generals, not the fake generals and
37:05not the political generals, too.
37:08So we have something that's special, but it
37:10can show you really what happened.
37:12We also just apprehended, as an example, the ISIS
37:16terrorist of the Albrecht Graab, the one that
37:22caused all of the problems in Afghanistan, caused
37:26unbelievable destruction.
37:30We lost 13 great soldiers.
37:32I got to know the parents and the families of those
37:34soldiers.
37:35But you know what they don't say is the ones who
37:36were so horribly wounded, which were many.
37:40And hundreds of people were killed from the other
37:42side.
37:43I always include that.
37:44That should have never happened.
37:45That whole mess should have never happened.
37:47I think it was the most embarrassing day in the
37:49history of our country.
37:50And we're not going to have things like that
37:52happen anymore.
37:53And again, we should have kept.
37:55We should have kept the airbase.
37:58Should have kept it.
37:59We left it go and we left.
38:01And it was a very embarrassing moment in the
38:04history of our country.
38:05That will never happen again.
38:06There are a lot of people that said that Russia
38:07went into Ukraine.
38:11When they saw that, they said, Wow, we didn't think
38:14that was possible, but it's not possible any
38:16longer.
38:17I could tell you that's another one would have
38:18never happened if I were president.
38:20Russia would have never gone into Ukraine.
38:22All of those things, they would have never happened.
38:25But the Afghanistan withdrawal, not the fact
38:27that they withdrew, but the fact that they the way
38:31they did it was so horrible and so embarrassing.
38:34So we brought this horrible person to justice, to
38:40American justice.
38:41We caught the person that that set off that bomb.
38:45And all of this is possible because of the
38:48work that you do with partnerships that you
38:50forge.
38:51In this case, it was Pakistan.
38:53And by the way, I don't want to say I did, but I
38:57sure as hell helped settle the problem between
39:00Pakistan and India last week, which was getting
39:03more and more hostile.
39:05And all of a sudden, you'll start seeing
39:07missiles of a different type.
39:10And we got it settled.
39:12I hope I hope I don't walk out of here and two days
39:15later find out that it's not settled.
39:16But I think it is settled.
39:18And we talked to them about trade.
39:20Let's do trade instead of do war.
39:23And Pakistan was very happy with that.
39:25And India was very happy with that.
39:27And I think they're on the way.
39:29You know, they have been fighting for about a
39:31thousand years, in all fairness.
39:33So I said, you know, I could settle that up.
39:36I can settle anything.
39:38Let me set it up.
39:39Let's get them all together.
39:40How long have you been fighting?
39:42About a thousand years.
39:43Oh, that's a lot.
39:44I'm not sure.
39:46I'm not sure about settling.
39:47That's a tough one.
39:48They've been fighting for a long time, but we got
39:52that settled.
39:52Nobody.
39:54Boy, everybody was very happy.
39:55I'll tell you, that looked like it was really
39:57going to be escalating out of control.
39:59But with us today is the first sergeant of the
40:03379th Wing, Master Sergeant Patrick Elders.
40:09Patrick, wherever you may be.
40:11Where are you, Patrick?
40:12Handsome guy.
40:20Wow.
40:22I'm looking at him from here, and it says, after
40:26having served 22 years.
40:27He's a lot.
40:30How long have you been in, Patrick?
40:34Wow, that's amazing.
40:35It looks like he's like 25 years old.
40:37I'm saying 22 years.
40:38They say we must have this mixed up.
40:40We don't have it mixed up.
40:41I guess when you love what you do, you stay
40:43young, right?
40:44And he loves what he does, no doubt about it.
40:47But having served over 22 years in the Air Force,
40:50he's one of his.
40:52Right now, this is his sixth deployment.
40:55But this time, it's a little different because
40:57his stepson, Airman First Class Ashton, in
41:01Guantanamo, is on his own first-ever deployment
41:04nearby in Kuwait, right now in Kuwait, which is
41:08really incredible.
41:09Master Sergeant Elders is proud that two
41:12generations of his family are now serving the same
41:14mission in the same theater, protecting the
41:17same great American flag.
41:19So, say hello to him.
41:20Thank you very much.
41:25Very nice.
41:27A lot of stories like that.
41:31A lot of stories like that.
41:33And I want to thank Airman First Class Inman also
41:36very much.
41:36It's a — that's a great — that's a great story.
41:40That's a great story.
41:41And we have many of them, I guarantee.
41:42In this room right now, there are many such
41:44stories.
41:45There are several married couples serving side by
41:47side in uniform at this base, including Staff
41:50Sergeants Tyler and Paige Duck.
41:53Where is Tyler and Paige?
41:55Wow.
41:55That's great.
41:56Beautiful.
41:57Beautiful.
41:57For years, they grew their relationship while
42:06Paige was deployed in the U.K., and Tyler was
42:09halfway around the world at Joint Base Elmendorf
42:13Richardson in Alaska, conquering a 14-hour time
42:17difference.
42:17That's a lot of time difference.
42:18And now they're together at Al Udeid, and it's
42:23really great.
42:24So, Staff Sergeants, congratulations.
42:26It's fantastic.
42:27The American people never forget that our service
42:30members and their families make incredible
42:32sacrifices each and every day so that all Americans
42:36can be safe and be free.
42:38And we love our amazing military families.
42:40Our military families are as good as you can get.
42:43The men and women here today are part of a noble
42:46tradition of service that has been passed down from
42:49one generation of Americans to the next.
42:52And your spirit and courage and sacrifice has
42:54always been there when we needed you the most.
42:57You're always there when we need you the most.
43:00With us today is Master Sergeant Michael Shullow,
43:04who happens to be from a small town in a place
43:07called Butler, Pennsylvania.
43:09Has anybody heard of Butler, Pennsylvania?
43:11Yeah.
43:11Michael is a member of the Air Force Reserve, as
43:17well as Butler County Corrections Officer.
43:20And last July 13th, he attended the rally where an
43:23assassin tried to take my life.
43:25He gave it a shot.
43:27Not good.
43:28That was some day.
43:30As soon as the shots were fired, Michael raced to
43:32direct law enforcement toward the sniper's perch,
43:35then worked to evacuate the rest of the crowd in a
43:38very safe manner.
43:40But Master Sergeant Shullow would be the first
43:42to tell you who the real hero was that day.
43:45He personally knew and really liked veteran
43:49firefighter, also a veteran of the military,
43:53great veteran of the military, who laid down
43:55his life for his country.
43:59Really laid down his life for his country.
44:01His whole life was about his country.
44:04Cory Comparator.
44:07And he's become somewhat of a legend, I will tell
44:10you.
44:10He took a hard shot.
44:11He took a hard shot guarding his family.
44:15Master Sergeant Shullow, your commitment
44:19represents the very best in America.
44:21Thank you for your incredible service that
44:23day and forever, because that day was a horrible
44:27day.
44:28But you acted with incredible bravery.
44:30We've gotten reports about what you did.
44:33It was really amazing.
44:34And I personally appreciated it.
44:36That was a that was a rough day.
44:37We don't want to have days like that.
44:40But Cory was an incredible guy.
44:42Lost his life guarding his wife and children.
44:46Every American warrior here today inherits a
44:48legacy of exceptional patriots who have
44:50defended our freedom for nearly 250 years.
44:54You carry on the glorious tradition of the heroes
44:57of Lexington and Concord, Gettysburg and
45:00Bellowood, Normandy and Midway.
45:03You embody the spirit of the soldiers who hoisted
45:07the flag over Fort McHenry and the Marines who
45:10planted the stars and stripes on the summit to
45:14Iwo Jima.
45:15That was a rough attack.
45:17You carry forward the mission of generations of
45:20Americans before you who marched through halls of
45:24gunfire, trekked over rugged mountains, stormed
45:26across scorching deserts, sailed through hostile
45:30waters, conquered unknown dangers, and poured out
45:33their blood and guts and battlefields all over the
45:36world.
45:38The military is incredible.
45:41And we want our independence.
45:43We preserved our union, protected our way of life,
45:46defeated fascism, crushed terrorism, liberated
45:50millions and millions of people from bondage, and
45:54brought communism to its knees.
45:57It's what we did.
45:58And now we're going to defend America from all
46:01enemies, overcome all obstacles and dangers.
46:04And as one nation, we're going to build a future of
46:07peace and prosperity for generations to come.
46:12Together, we will stand strong, we will stand
46:15proud, we will live free, and we will fight, fight,
46:19fight, and win, win, win.
46:21So, my trip is four and a half days, but this is the
46:38one I was so looking forward because I'm with
46:40the people that I really love and respect.
46:43We love and respect you.
46:44This is what you're doing, the service you do for your
46:47country.
46:47You keep us safe.
46:49There is no more important profession.
46:52And I was so proud to see those reports coming in
46:55just a few days ago saying that the enrollment is at
46:58the highest level ever, especially when I had to
47:01suffer running against a group of people that were
47:04very inappropriate, where they allowed that
47:08reputation of what you stood for and what you
47:10stand for to deteriorate to a point where we weren't
47:15able to recruit.
47:16So, just remember this.
47:17You have a job now that everybody wants.
47:21Everybody wants to be doing what you're doing.
47:24It's a special job.
47:25And I'm so proud.
47:26When I saw those numbers come across the board that
47:29we set the record for enrollment in the
47:31military, and we took that from the exact opposite
47:35just six months before, I was very, very proud of that.
47:39We have a great country.
47:41We have a proud country.
47:42We have a country that's respected all over the
47:45world.
47:46And as I said before, a year ago, we were laughed
47:49at, but nobody is laughing at our country
47:51anymore.
47:52We're the most respected country anywhere in the
47:55world.
47:56And thank you very much.
47:57And enjoy your lives.
47:58And God bless America.
47:59Thank you very much.
