00:01:02well I'll say this every player wants to perform well at their home ballpark in front of their fans
00:01:09in front of the city and you know this guy more effective here so you know you look at the numbers
00:01:14they haven't been great at home I'm sure he wants to turn that around and we'll see if he's able to
00:01:18start that in this one number 10 leading off here as he looks at that one outside the zone

00:04:03there's just a little miss here or a little miss there that changes the outcome of the at bat we'll
00:04:08see if he can be consistent and make adjustments quickly in this one number 12 takes a ball here as he stands in now

00:04:54Boog this is one of those guys you want at the plate in those big
00:04:57game-defining moments i mean he's such a consistent hitter you gotta love watching
00:05:01him in those situations and hopefully we'll get a chance to see that in this one
00:05:05now tony fernandez you talk about elite defensive players especially in the middle of the diamond
00:05:17and this guy is at the top of the list
00:05:19first pitch and he just misses and you played behind guys and they loved having your speed out
00:05:29there defensively one of the things that we talk about is how much pitchers enjoy having those elite
00:05:34defenders behind them and it drops in but a good job to keep it in front hitting is really easy for some
00:05:41guys one thing that i can see already his bat stays in the zone on plane for an extended period of time and guys like that
00:05:50they have a high contact rate and they have more barrels because of that bat being on plane and even when you don't get it great
00:05:57it's still hit hard enough to dunk something in like that in front of the center fielder
00:06:02joe carter watches that one for a strike standing in here with one down

00:06:17and a pitch he swings and drives one out to deep left field and it's off the top of the wall

00:09:39and they're all loaded up he knew he had a little wiggle room with the open base but now that
00:09:45disappears mistake to this next batter and this inning might really break open two outs

00:16:19but he'll give pitchers a little bit above the letters and below the knees if they're earning it

00:21:04kicks and fires well i think it's the ability to assess the situation understanding what the
00:21:09pitcher has what he's trying to get people out on and then being able to use the entire field

00:21:27then you're really not going to be able to come through and clutch situations because pitchers are
00:21:31going to adjust but because he's able to use the entire field that's why he's so successful in these
