00:00Here's my top three favorite parts about Karate Kid Legends.
00:04The way they shot the action in this movie,
00:06the way that those fight scenes are set,
00:08that's meant for a theater.
00:09This is the other thing that I really admire.
00:11He doesn't just move the actors.
00:13He doesn't just move the camera.
00:15The two are in conversation with each other.
00:24It's really exciting,
00:25and I think you only get the full effect of how that feels
00:29if you see it on a big screen.
00:35I came here before they hired anyone else,
00:36and then it was like Jackie Chan's your uncle,
00:38and you're teaching Joshua Jackson,
00:39and Mulan's your mom,
00:41and Kim Possible's your girlfriend,
00:43and the kid from IT is teaching you math.
00:45Everyone's amazing.
00:46Sadie Stanley is amazing.
00:47Joshua Jackson is amazing.
00:48Wyatt Olaf is amazing.
00:49Watch out, New York!
00:50Lee Fung's gonna kick your ass!
00:52Hey, shut up!
00:53I mean, that one is amazing.
00:54Jackie Chan is amazing.
00:57Ralph Macchio is amazing.
00:59What a crazy cast.
01:03The 2010 Karate Kid,
01:04the Jackie Chan remake,
01:05that's my Karate Kid.
01:07That came out when I was like 10 years old,
01:08and because that movie takes place in Beijing,
01:10and I had just moved back to the U.S. from Beijing
01:13when that movie came out,
01:14and I was the exact same age pretty much
01:16as Jaden Smith in that movie,
01:17and I was like, that's awesome.
01:19But I also watched the original Karate Kids,
01:21because they are my aunt's favorite movies.
01:23So I watched all of them growing up,
01:25and they were all great.
01:26And Ralph felt that emotion
01:28and that idea of passing the franchise on.
01:30Two branches, one tree.
01:32Because he is the Karate Kid.
01:34I am a Karate Kid, but he is the Karate Kid.
01:37And for him to pass on the legacy of the franchise
01:41and the legacy of Mr. Miyagi
01:43and the work that he and Pat did on the original movie,
01:46that was emotional for the both of us.
