00:00Edwin Poots, MLA, Speaker of the House. You're taking the day off from the Assembly, Edwin?

00:05Well, we have an Assembly stand here, so we've actually done an official business as well.

00:09Oh, you're still at work? Okay.

00:11So we've been hopefully getting lots of people coming through the doors

00:14and finding out a bit more about the Assembly, about the legislation before it's passed,

00:19and perhaps give us some ideas as to the legislation that people think should be passed.

00:23Okay, but I noticed as a long-time beef farmer,

00:25you've managed to situate the Assembly stand right beside the cattle rings, Edwin.

00:29Was that accident or design?

00:31Well, I don't know. I was very fortunate in any event because behind me,

00:35I would say this is amongst the best cattle displays you will get anywhere in the world.

00:40Northern Ireland is so good at producing beef and beef dairy,

00:44and the cattle that you'll see in this lawn are premium,

00:49and that's the example of what we have to sell to the rest of the world,

00:53and that's why Northern Ireland is such a popular place to buy agri-food products.

00:57Did any take your eye this morning? You didn't get the checkbook out?

01:01I don't know if my checkbook would extend to some of these animals.

01:04We're looking at animals which could run into tens of thousands of pounds

01:08because the bloodlines are so good, and there is international interest in what's going on here

01:14in terms of Northern Ireland breeding.

01:16Okay. I think I saw a headline yesterday about MLS pay rises,

01:20but we'll not go into that today because it's a light-hearted, fun day, Edwin,

01:24but thank you very much indeed for your time.
