Transcript
00:00This is Rhonda Geary, Operations Director with the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society.
00:06Rhonda you're holding the whole show together here. It's the first morning of Balmoral 2025.
00:11Can you give us a wee idea what the highlights are going to be today for the general visitors?
00:15Yeah well as we kick off today on our first day it's our beef cattle judging day so
00:19if you're here and you have a look around our cattle lawns they'll be full of the great big
00:23beef cattle a real spectacle and then on around to our sheep with a full complement of sheep classes
00:28today as well really to get the whole show going I mean the livestock's out in full flourish.
00:33When you look in our main arena then this morning we have our national show jumping classes
00:37and then into international classes this afternoon and the JCB Dancing Diggers our main arena attraction
00:43this year they'll be performing twice today as well on our main arena. 12 30 and 3 pm?
00:47That's correct yes. And we'll not neglect to give the dinosaurs mention? Absolutely not I mean you
00:53wouldn't know what you'll find at Balmoral between wallabies over in our kids farm and the dinosaur
00:57display down at the Glen Park area down beside the um the pigs and goats and that's that's a lovely
01:04display. And how are the pigs coping with the dinosaurs so far? I don't think they've seen them
01:08yet so that might be quite interesting and they come out to play this afternoon. So just just for
01:11anyone who's um not in the picture these are four full-scale dinosaur models animated and with
01:16uh realistic noises. They are indeed yes it's just a sample of what's to come at the Glen Park estate
01:21in the future months. Rhonda thanks very much I hope everything goes really well this year thank you
