PKR will remain as one family regardless of the results of the upcoming party polls, says Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan.
The PKR deputy information chief I dispelled claims the election was causing factions to form.
Ramanan, who is contesting for one of the four PKR vice-president posts against 11 others, said the crowded race was a sign of healthy democracy in the party.
00:00If we can see one thing that is very important for me, one of the main things that I give a lot of importance is for the young generation.
00:17We have to move away from the gig to gig jobs.
00:22We have to give an opportunity for the young, the youths today to come out of the generation of gig jobs.
00:31They need to have jobs which are sustainable jobs, which are high paying jobs and job security.
00:38We cannot allow them to continue having jobs which are an insecure base for them.
00:44If we can see a lot of young children now, they are more likely to job gigs, such as GrabRider.
00:55This is not a job that has a large income or fixed income.
01:05So, in my opinion, I think this is one thing that I want to give a lot of importance on the gig jobs.
01:13Of course, also, if we look at the process of the process, the process of the government, the process of the government,
01:21the process of the government, it is not that they are not long, but they are slow, they are not slow.
01:25So, we have to make the system fast, we have to make a good delivery system.
01:30The delivery system is that we have to be slow, because this is what causes people's anger.
01:35Bila dia membuat sesuatu permohonan, contohnya permohonan pinjaman wang ataupun permohonan untuk mendapatkan lesen, dia agak lambat.
01:43So, kita kena memperlajukan sistem permohonan, sistem aplikasi. Ini adalah satu.
01:51Of course, kita tidak boleh melupakan ketulusan. Transparency is not an option. It's a necessity.
02:06We look at them, we cannot look at them only as the future leaders.
02:12They are the energy of today.
02:25We have to give them an opportunity.
02:27Moving away from gig jobs, giving them a skill training, upscaling them.
02:34We have to give them opportunity.
02:36Kita kena bagi ruang kepada mereka untuk mendapatkan satu pendapatan dan satu pekerjaan di mana mereka adalah stabil and most important.
02:46We have to give them security.
02:53They are a national asset and we have to protect our national asset.
03:36They have open equal opportunity.
03:51The greater their pay will become, the greater the opportunity they will have.
03:57So, I think Tibet ini adalah antara yang sangat penting untuk move away lah from the gig jobs which are currently so attractive to the youths of today.
04:23Parti kita, rumah kita.
04:25Our party is our home.
04:27So, kita kena bertanding secara aman damai, secara berprinsip, secara beradab.
04:34It's very important.
04:36We have to have those principles and we have to respect them.
04:40That's number one.
04:41Number two, of course, among all those who have their own talents and their own strengths,
04:50of course, for me, I've been in politics for a fair number of years, for a long time.
04:55Maybe some might see that as a positive thing, some might see that as a negative thing.
05:00But the wealth of experience that I've garnered throughout these years in politics, I believe is something of an asset.
05:15You have to get it through experience.
05:18And of course, for me, I am very result-oriented.
05:23Kalau kita lihat daripada kementerian sekarang yang saya duduk, which is KUSKOP, Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi,
05:31saya diperdanggungjawabkan dan diberi amanat oleh Yama Bumat Perdana Menteri, the Prime Minister,
05:37to handle affairs related to the Indian community.
05:42Before this, if we take a short look in terms of success
05:47and the ability to provide the necessary opportunities for the youth and the community,
05:57before this, the only avenue which was given for the Indian community by the government of the day was Mitra.
06:04Of course, they have a lot of ad hoc programs.
06:06But of course, while my tenure as the Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative,
06:13we have come up with numerous number of projects and programs, initiatives to help the community
06:19in order for them to build their business and have a better future.
06:24I have a slight edge, but of course, it's an election.
06:28We have to talk to our grassroots.
06:32I mean, a lot of people don't understand.
06:34Aka Umbi ni, dia bukan setakat angka sahaja.
06:42Dia adalah nadi.
06:44Dia adalah nadi parti.
06:46The grassroots are not just the heartbeat.
06:49You know, they are the very soul of the parti.
06:53They are not just referred to as they are just a block of numbers.
06:56You know, they are the heartbeat of the parti.
06:58So, I think this is something very crucial
07:00and very important for most leaders to take note of.
07:04We cannot disregard the grassroots.
07:07We cannot go down to the ground and see them every time it's election season.
07:12They need to be provided assistance.
07:15They need to be provided training courses.
07:18They need to be given an opportunity to grow.
07:20Because they have waited all these years.
07:34Tetapi, kalau di peringkat kebangsaan on a national level basis,
07:54Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim,
07:55untuk membawa komuniti India naik,
08:12Tetapi, kalau kita lihat,
08:14memang Indian representation itu, representasi India itu penting.
08:19Tetapi, kalau kita lihat di dalam parti,
08:23kita tidak boleh ada faktsionalism.
08:25Kita tak boleh ada puak-puak tertentu.
08:28This is a political party.
08:30PKR adalah rumah kepada semua rakyat Malaysia.
08:35We don't want faktsionalism.
08:37Jadi, kita kena membawa suara untuk semua ahli parti.
08:41Bukan sahaja ahli parti India.
08:43So, bagi saya,
08:44saya tidak akan diri untuk apa-apa isu perkawaman
