00:00Casper, your first Grand Tour, your first sprint in a Grand Tour and you are a winner. How did you do it?
00:06I didn't do it alone. We did it with a whole team, all the boys here and all the people, all the stuff back at the HQ as well.
00:14They did super work. I didn't have to take any wins until a bit more than 200 to go.
00:20I know I have a good long sprint, so I just went for it and hoped for the best.
00:25How were you organized, really, knowing that there were other top sprinters?
00:29Yeah, I think we just know we did a really good job already the whole season with the lead outs.
00:34And in Turkey also last week, the boys did a really good job.
00:39And I know I just have to follow Brom and the boys.
00:42And Brom, Edmo, Nicky and Reis, Max, Roman and Chris, they just did a super good job for me.
00:51And I'm just really, really happy to give them something back.
00:56Did you come with a lot of confidence or is it a bit of a surprise for you too?
01:00I don't think it's a surprise. And I know the boys and everyone really believes in me.
01:06So sometimes I have to find that belief in myself a little bit, but this helps.
01:11And now everyone from the team, they do a really good job helping me believe in myself and it pays off.
01:1823 years of age, first Grand Tour. How do you see the future?
01:23We don't know the future, so I'm happy to live in the now and for now it's really good.
01:28Proficiat.
01:31Lorenzo, one climb on the menu today and already a fight between you and Sylvain Monique.
01:37Is it a duel already?
01:38Yes. To be honest, I'm not ready for during Fatica today in GPM.
01:44But Sylvain attack strong and arrived second, two points, me one point.
01:50But okay, the jersey, we win in the last week of Giro, so no stress.
01:58Did you do it today because it was in the early part of the stage with a lot of time to recover?
02:03Yes, yes. I did because I have, okay, two points, stay in the peloton, during Fatica for 1K a block.
02:14So it's not a problem, but the next day I have to stay in the front for try to win a stage or make more points.
02:24How was the end of the stage for you guys?
02:26A little bit of stress because in the final there was more corner, more roundabout and the peloton was stretched.
02:36But okay, we arrived in peloton without crash and save the day.
02:42Tell us about your sprint and how difficult it was with all these trains, super motivated.
02:48Yeah, it was not only the trains, it was, you know, everyone was fresh and motivated to do a sprint today.
02:56And this final was really technical and hard to manage with the wide roads and narrow roads and so many fresh people.
03:05So yeah, it was a tough one for us to control also with CERN crashing me.
03:10I had to stop with him in that crash and we had to use down to make it back.
03:16So yeah, the train also fell apart.
03:18But in the end, we made a good damage control to not lose too many points.
03:23So yeah, we are, we are happy with the result.
03:27Before that there was a sprint for intermediate sprint.
03:30Is the Magliacci Clamino already on?
03:34Of course it is, you know, Olaf is also going for this jersey and I have to get as many points as possible
03:43because the stage wins I have, it's only 25 points per stage and a day like today is 50.
03:50So every single point I can get, I will try to take.
03:54What do you make of the GC riders going for second bonus already?
03:59For second bonus?
04:01For time bonus, Roglic, Ayuso, Del Toro.
04:05Yeah, well, you know, that's why the Red Bull Kilometer is there.
04:08It's to make it interesting for them.
04:10And, you know, we have nothing to do in this sprint.
04:12So yeah, I wish them all the best for this competition on the Red Bull sprint.
04:19No win today, you are getting used to it.
04:22Are you disappointed?
04:23No, we are definitely not disappointed because, you know,
04:29today it was a pretty easy day and we knew that the other sprinters have also to do something.
04:36So this is the day they should go for it.
04:39So we knew that it will be hard to beat the sprinters today.
04:43You know, we worked hard already the past few days.
04:46And yeah, today we were like, yeah, we tried in the finish for sure with a lead out.
04:55But then he crashed and yeah, we didn't have so much manpower in the finish.
05:01And yeah, I was also a bit struggling, you know, with this parkour in the end.
05:05It was left, right, roundabout and always full sprints behind the corner.
05:10So yeah, it was not easy to do a lead out for Mats.
05:14But I mean, he managed really well to get in position also.
05:17And he got a fourth place that is also nice.
05:20Was it a big loss when Seven crashed?
05:22Yeah, you know, you have a plan always before the start.
05:26And he was the second last man for Mats today.
05:29But yeah, it happened.
05:31I hope he's okay.
05:32We will see now.
05:33But yeah, definitely he was missing a bit.
05:36And yeah, he could for sure do also a great lead out for Mats today.
