00:00quite a while because as you said headwind doesn't definitely doesn't help the breakaway
00:07to go clear in the easiest way we can expect very likely tornelli we can see now him in
00:14ciclamino jersey to be on the attack vf group bardiani cannot afford to miss the breakaway
00:21today they missed it two days ago on stage three because no racing yesterday officially
00:26it wasn't a rest day yesterday because according to the uci regulations jacobo which i'm sure you
00:30know intimately well i do at the moment a rest day in a grand tour cannot involve travel
00:39yeah indeed um that's why like normally a grand tour are 21 stages grand tour
00:56over the bunch it's incredible uh to see the participation of uh of the city uh of putignano
01:10to the big party which is uh giro d'italia wonderful crowd and munoz must be loving this i hope he is
01:18because that's a special a special site that's greeting him over the top he goes he picks up
01:22the three points and onto the descent of course he's got a real target at the bunch print at the
01:29end of today's stage so he might not want to bother investing any energy in this then tornelli would
01:34actually almost half the distance half the gap in the malio ciclamino to maz pedersen at least
01:39before the finish line he would be interested more to see if uh the likes of koi or kadengros are
01:46going to be involved into the intermediate spring by affini over there corbin strong also showing an
01:51interest in the blue of uh israel premium tech so a number of riders now 47.1 k to go
01:56big lead out now coming for maz pedersen koi and strong just on the wheel and actually it's uh jensen
02:04plowright and uh not kadengros who's going to sprint to try and deny uh maz pedersen and plowright's
02:09doing a really good job here so plowright on behalf of kaden groves is going to take is he
02:15eight points for second place with olaf koi in third maz pedersen
02:20so muñoz crossing the line but uh this is going to be the images uh that we're going to see in about three minute 25 from the peloton so it's going to be curious to see how they're going to approach
02:38this very sure that uh tibetty none of tibetty's rivals score points here or school bonus seconds
02:44roglic is lurking in third place
02:48now we have del toro trying to do his lead out for uh jonathan ayuso yeah there's juan ayuso yeah juan ayuso
02:54yeah juan ayuso so it's going to be del toro from roglic for the bonus seconds ayuso just out of the frame and out of luck in that so that was a good little scrap
03:14attack i might be wrong but the peloton might just sweep up those points irrespective of their value
03:34it's going to be curious to see uh if the tactic of alpress is going to be again the same um launching
03:40and trying to stealing points from from uh the likes of olaf koi and uh matt pedersen
03:45now we're getting closer to the finish line so um those points are going to be vital for for the
03:54for the points classmen but let's not forget the riders are also they want to spend a little bit for
03:59it yeah and four serves olaf koi to follow him but pedersen again in the mix groves is it yeah
04:06so groves just sitting up not bothering to contest that i don't think and it's going to be pedersen
04:11against koi pretty full-on sprint there between those two i think i think koi might have got there
04:15yeah but it looks and it seems like koi was uh first one on the line we're gonna have a
04:19confirmation from uh from the graphics but the different the first and second position went to
04:25maz pedersen and all of koi
04:30well koi got the better of maz pedersen at the first sprint
04:33oh here that's the wrong side of the roundabout that's a big big error there those riders and i
04:39think sam bennett might be one of them yeah for decathlon there's a crash at the back bringing
04:43down a couple of riders and maz pedersen has got caught out of position so pedersen now with work
04:48to do to get towards the front 22k to go don't know if pedersen just got delayed or whether he went
04:53down himself but he's right at the back of the bunch now yeah he's gonna have to make his way through
04:58the front of the peloton is gonna be oh jacob yeah yeah it's mosque on the ground uh that's
05:03getting a bike change musk ice wool sorry yeah it's dan hool oh son claus sorry my mistake
05:09the bell is ringing we're out onto the last circuit that's it over the finish line for the first time
05:14in front of this crowd who roar the peloton of the giro d'italia on order is restored a little bit
05:19but maz pedersen still with work to do to get to the front he's still most of the way to the back of the
05:24bunch well here they come to the rescue for olaf koi potentially it is picnic post nl who have hit
05:30the front now as they hit 500 meters to go and they're getting ready uh for this critical left
05:36hander it's the left hand side of the road that you want there's a battle for it royal between uh
05:41eduardo afini of visma lisa bike and picnic post nl kasper van uden 300 meters to go at this point it's
05:47time to unleash the fast men kasper van uden the first of them to show his hand ben turner with a big
05:53charge up on the left hand side of the road maz pedersen looking for space on the right by the
05:57barriers paul manier in the mix koi on the other side of the road van uden it's going to be pedersen
06:01with the charge van uden takes it for picnic post nl a first ever grand tour victory for the dutchman
06:07perfection from picnic post nl they can't quite believe what they have just done
06:12hats off to uh maz pedersen who was very very close to another victory there jasper your first grand tour
06:18your first sprint in a grand tour and you are a winner how did you do it uh i didn't do it alone
06:25we did it with a whole team all the boys here and all the people all the stuff back at the hq as well
06:30and yeah they did super work i didn't have to take any wins until a bit more than 200 to go and i know
06:38i have a good long sprint so i just went for it and hoped for the best how were you organized really
06:43knowing that there were other top sprinters yeah i think we just know we did a really good job already
06:49the whole season with the lead outs and uh in turkey also last week the boys did a really good job
06:56and i know i just have to follow brom and the boys and yeah brom edmo nicky and guys max roman and chris
07:06they just did a super good job for me and uh yeah i'm just really really happy to give them something
07:12back did you come with a lot of confidence or is it a bit of a surprise for you too uh i don't think
07:18it's a surprise and uh i know the boys and everyone really believes in me so sometimes i have to find
07:25that believe in myself a little bit but yeah this this helps and you know everyone from the team they
07:31do a really good job helping me believe in myself and yeah it pays off 23 years of age first grand tour
07:39how do you see the future we don't know the future so i'm happy to live in the now and for now it's really
07:45good proficient thank you
