Taking the new Ford Expedition for a test drive

It’s one of several exercises I was able to put the 2025 Expedition through as Ford took me to Louisville, Kentucky to be among the first to drive the all new vehicle.

00:00With each new update, Ford's big SUV, the Expedition, becomes more refined.

00:06When the Expedition debuted a quarter century ago, there wasn't really all that much you could do with a large truck.

00:12Ford taking us to Kentucky to check out the all-new 2025 Expedition, the overhaul adds refinement, technology, luxury, and power.

00:22You get into the new Expedition, what you'll find is the ride is smooth and plush.

00:27Communication within the first and third row is a breeze because you don't need to raise your voice levels.

00:32We've got a really great interface with the Ford Digital Experience.

00:35For the first time ever, the Expedition has a special trimmer trim.

00:41It's aimed at doing some off-roading.

00:43So Ford has taken us to an off-road park to check out those credentials.

00:49Let's play in the mud, twist between the trees, even navigate around a few rocks.

00:54Now, off-road mode makes it simple to do this driving.

00:58More people are interested these days in going to remote areas.

01:03Talking to some of these customers, we've learned that they want to take it to the next level.

01:07They want to have these epic family adventures and take their family off the grid.

01:11Mud on this vehicle becomes a badge of honor.

01:14This is a truck that actually cleans up pretty well.

01:16With an upscale, user-friendly interior, Ford's new split gate in the back, and loads of technology, including hands-free blue crews.

01:26While we're down in Kentucky, let's check out where the Expedition is made and take a quick tour of the Kentucky truck plant.

01:33This is Ford's largest plant.

01:359,000 workers building the Expedition, Navigator, and the big Super Duty pickups.

01:40And it's recently seen some upgrades.

01:50to really put a product in the marketplace that our customers really, really respect.

01:54This assembly line is now up to speed, and Ford Expeditions are being shipped to all 50 states.
