India busted China's claims of not arming Pakistan with weapons after Director General of Air Operations, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti, presented evidence of a Chinese-made PL-15 long-range missile that landed in Punjab's Hoshiarpur but failed to detonate.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying that India has only "paused" its military action against its neighbours, calling Operation Sindoor the "new normal."

00:00If we have a neighbor that's been sponsoring terror, we also have a neighbor on the other
00:23side, China, that's been providing arms and ammunitions to Pakistan.
00:26Pakistan's all-weather ally appears to be slightly jittery, humiliated in Pakistan, China
00:33goes on the back foot.
00:34Now China says, we are not arming Pakistan because remember the missile which did not
00:39detonate was found on Indian territory, the arms and especially the defense system that
00:46India managed to inflict heavy damage on.
00:49China now says, did not send military aid to Pakistan.
00:52Pakistan, it's also because remember at one juncture, Chinese-made air defense appears
00:57to have let down Pakistan because India managed to penetrate into Pakistan air defense and
01:03that was where China's made equipment did not work.
01:06India shot down, the Chinese-made JF-17 jet, big blow to arms exports, the HQ-9 specifically
01:15in Dahor that was inflicted with heavy damage, the PL-15 missile in Punjab.
01:20All of this was a reminder that at a very high price, China had been selling to Pakistan.
01:26But what happened now?
01:27I want to immediately bring in our Foreign Affairs editor, Geeta Mohan for the latest in
01:32that.
01:32But let's first listen in from the Indian Armed Forces.
01:35What did Air Marshal Bharti say on these weapons?
01:38Shown on the screen is a probable enemy PL-15 missile, which is of Chinese origin.
01:46This missile has missed its target and you can see the pieces now which are available with us.
01:56Another weapon system or weapon which was found was the long-range rocket, the pieces of which
02:05you can now see on the screen.
02:11We have talked about the loiter munitions and the unmanned aerial systems and here are some
02:16of the glimpses of those systems which we have brought down.
02:21To your right, with the right undercarriage or the wheel you can see is the Yeha system,
02:27which is of Chinese origin with Pakistan.
02:30You can see some quadcopters and you can see one or Sankar drone hanging by the wire.
02:37All these have been brought down by our trained crew and air defense systems.
02:44The Yeha drones are of Turkish origin.
02:47Good morning.
02:48Now, Geeta, good morning.
02:49Tell me more about this.
02:49I'm very curious about the statement that has come in from China.
02:53Why did they have to defend themselves and say, we're not sending any military aid?
02:59Well, there are two things.
03:00One is that earlier, Pooja, the Chinese in a press briefing had very clearly been asked on
03:06PL-15s said that they have no information of Chinese missiles being used by Pakistan.
03:14Now, the PL-15s might not have gone in this cargo shipment and must have been sent way before
03:20because we do know that the two countries have an understanding.
03:24But on this shipment, the Chinese have come out and denied reports of sending cargo planes
03:29with military supplies to Pakistan.
03:31So, there are two different things.
03:32Yes, PL-15s are something that is of an understanding between China and Pakistan.
03:39And the Chinese might have sent it.
03:40But if you look back just a few days, the Chinese foreign ministry denied knowing or having any
03:46information on the PL-15s as well.
03:49So, two counts where China is denying and rejecting reports that have come in.
03:53One is that they have no information on PL-15s.
03:56And now, they are also rejecting any claims that are being made of Y-20 transport aircraft
04:02sending, taking cargo, military supplies to Pakistan.
04:08What they have been maintaining is that it's a relief supply.
04:13So, again, this is the Chinese word against many others who have been claiming that, yes,
04:20the Chinese were supplying military equipment to Pakistan at a time.
04:26Then, India and Pakistan were having the biggest conflict of recent times.
04:31Geetha, also tell me, how do you see this progressing?
04:33Do you think at some point, China, which has been an all-weather ally, so to say, for Pakistan,
04:39but will be slightly distancing itself from the conflict?
04:43It will be all happy to see India-Pakistan in a conflict, especially India not going up
04:49the economy ladder.
04:50But you think that there wouldn't be an outright support to Pakistan on this?
04:56Well, absolutely there is an outright support to Pakistan.
04:59In fact, they've said that they're going to support Pakistan in any way, officially.
05:04But look at the optics of it, Pooja.
05:07To have a Chinese cargo plane land with military supplies, when India and Pakistan are having
05:15a massive military conflict is something that does not go down well for China and even in
05:25optics.
05:26And that's the reason why we're seeing the rejections coming of the reports.
05:30Having said that, yes, for China, it's advantage of China right now.
05:34Instead of having the fast-track trade talks with India, the United States of America is
05:39going ahead and having the fast-track trade talks with China.
05:43Trump has reduced carrots.
05:45It is all advantage of China, given that India right now has not been focused or could not
05:51have focused on the trade aspect with the United States of America.
05:55So, in fact, Secretary Yusnick had come out and said that the trade talks with India could
06:00be pushed back because of the conflict.
06:01This is on-the-record statement.
06:03It just made a few days ago.
06:05So, there is so much and so many layers to the geopolitics that are made between America
06:11and China and how it plays out when it comes to India and Pakistan.
06:14Very interesting.
06:15Thank you very much.
06:16Geeta will be tracking and giving us perspective on what is the reason that China has now said
06:19we're not sending any military aid to Pakistan when there's clear evidence on the ground
06:23with which India is currently speaking.
06:26So, we'll move on and continue to track how China, US and other countries are responding.
06:31But, for the first time, especially since Operation Sindhu started, Prime Minister Modi sent out
06:37a message.
06:37It was his address to the nation late last night at about 8pm and he also very categorically
06:43said, Operation Sindhu wasn't just a one-off exercise.
06:46It's India's new policy against terrorism.
06:49Raterating that terror talks trade cannot go together.
06:53What did he mean?
06:54Prime Minister Modi was referring to the Indus Water Treaty that India has for now put in
06:58abeyance as part of the diplomatic strike and adding water and blood cannot flow together.
07:02In this first address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi also slammed Pakistan for supporting
07:08terrorists and not just once or twice but for decades now and has added, India and especially
07:14at this time will go after the terrorists and the backers as much.
07:20He's also made it clear, India and Pakistan from now on can have talks but only on terrorism
07:25and if there is a talk of return of POJK.
07:29Not just that, also asserting that each attack here on, any future act of terror will be seen
07:36as an act of war.
07:37Let's listen in to the excerpts of Prime Minister Modi.
07:40Some of the statements were strong, scathing and direct not just to Pakistan but for the
07:44world too.
07:45Operation Synthur has been shown in the future of Russia.

12:12Piyush Mishra joins me for the latest on that.
12:16Piyush, so all those huddles and meetings that we had been tracking all these days
12:19and then finally this address to the nation.
12:22The tone was very clear, very direct as a messaging as much to Pakistan I noticed
12:29but also to the United States of America.
12:31What are you picking up about the body language, the choice of words?
12:36And it wasn't just assertive, I would say it was aggressive too.
12:42Very aggressive Pooja and tone, tenor and message sent out by Prime Minister
12:49certainly telling himself as to how he is very serious this time dealing with terrorism,
12:54Pakistan's personal terrorism is concerned.
12:55He has also warned Pakistan that if you don't take actions against the terrorist camps here in Pakistan,
13:02one day these terrorists will wipe out Pakistan.
13:05He has also made it very clear that Operation Sindhura is our new policy
13:11and we have set a new normal.
13:14Prime Minister has also asserted on three big points Pooja.
13:17One, that if there is any further terror attack, then we will decide how to respond,
13:22when to respond and we will ensure that the strongest possible actions are taken.
13:26Two, that the terrorist hubs cannot hide under the terror or under the threat of nuclear threat
13:35which Pakistan keeps on giving.
13:36And three, that if there is any other actions, then we will never ever make a distinction
13:43between the terrorist groups and the Pakistani government.
13:48So the message is clear that if there is any other mischief, we will hit you back.
13:52He has also added Pooja that Operation Sindhura has just been put on hold.
13:57If there is any kind of mischievous activity by the Pakistan, we will then make our plans
14:02and we will respond accordingly.
14:04So it was a clear message not only to Pakistan Pooja but to the entire globe
14:08that we are not going to let terror go unpunished.
14:12And also it's a reminder, let's be very clear, neither the response nor this address to the nation
14:17is going to stop Pakistan or change them.
14:19They will continue with their misadventures, but possibly India making it very clear this time
14:24that we are not Purana India and we will respond where it will hurt Pakistan.
14:29Stay on with me, Piyush, because at a juncture like this, remember,
14:32while there have been domestic political differences,
14:35but it seems all political parties have come on the same stage,
14:38at least with regard to nation, with regard to India.
14:42I want you to listen in about what the Congress, BJP, other political parties have said
14:46after address to the nation.
14:47Let's listen in.
14:47Entire opposition is pressing for a joint session, a parliament session on this issue,
14:55but Nishikant Dube, who is BJP, is MP, he is saying that you are insisting for this
14:59because you want to defame Indian army and this is…
15:03So when Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji insisted on a special session of parliament
15:08in the middle of 1962 war, was he trying to defame the Indian army?
15:13By the way, when Atal Ji demanded the special session, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru accepted the demand.
15:19And in the middle of a war, there was a special session of parliament in which Jawaharlal Nehruji was attacked by the opposition.
15:26He took all those attacks.
15:27He sat through the entire session, responded to every question.
15:30That's the strength of our democracy.
15:33Who is Nishikant Dube?
15:34Does he even understand his own history, his own party's history?
15:37Does he know the strength of our democracy?
15:39Look, I think peace is essential.
15:41We need to have more details.
15:43But I'm very glad.
15:43India never wanted a long-term war.
15:46What India wanted was, indeed, to teach the terrorists a lesson.
15:50I believe that lesson has been taught.
15:51The other details are not yet clear.
15:53Let's find out more.
15:54Thanks so much.
15:54Two-Cars-Sawal, the President Trump, the President of the United States.
16:09And the President of the United States says that there is a new statement established by Operation Sinjur.
16:17That's right.
16:18You are saying that there is a new statement established by the President of the United States.

22:35So in the past few days there was quite a speculation if India has hit the Kirana Hills
22:43has India hit Pakistan's nuke facilities and storage
22:46Indian Armed Forces laid the speculation to rest
22:49Here's more in this report
22:51Social media has been buzzing with dramatic claims about India's airstrikes deep inside Pakistan
23:04Conspiracy theorists are wondering if India stuck Pakistan's nuclear storage facility
23:12at the Kirana Hills during Operation Sindhoor
23:15Several users have shared images, videos and maps
23:21allegedly pointing to smoke rising from the rocky region in Pakistan's Punjab province
23:27But did India really target the Kirana Hills?
23:32Top Indian defense officials have categorically denied any strike on the Kirana Hills
23:38Thank you for telling us that Kirana Hill houses some nuclear installation
23:44We did not know about it
23:46Okay
23:46And we have not hit Kirana Hills, whatever is there
23:51Okay, I did not brief in my briefing yesterday
23:55Thank you
23:55So why the confusion?
23:59So why the confusion?
24:00Kirana Hills is a large, rubbed terrain under Pakistan's Ministry of Defense in the Sargoda district
24:06commonly referred to as the Black Mountains because of its dark, rocky features
24:12It lies between the town of Ravva and Sargoda city and while it remains a high security zone
24:20no strikes were carried out there
24:23What was hit in the Sargoda airbase located about 10 km away from the Kirana Hills
24:30The strike took place on May 10th as part of India's counter-offensive
24:36Based on geolocation by India's open-source intelligence team
24:42the sight of smoke can be placed near the surrounding peaks, not the Kirana Hills
24:47So while the terrain may look similar and proximity fueled the buzz
24:52the facts remain clear, India did not strike the Kirana Hills
24:57With Bidisha Saha, Bureau Report, India Today
25:00The Government of India will be conducting a special briefing for the defence and military attaches
25:06over the successful conduct and full matrix of Operation Sindur
25:10This is important
25:11At about 3.30pm we are expecting this
25:13I want to bring in my colleague Shivani Sharma on this
25:16The Government of India, listen carefully
25:18will be conducting a special briefing for the defence and military attaches
25:22over the successful conduct and full matrix, the details of Operation Sindur
25:27Shivani, this is interesting
25:28If I am correct, this should be as much about our officers who are deployed in other countries
25:34Why do you think that the Government of India is going ahead with such a briefing?
25:40Pooja, we have seen that even before when the armed forces and the government
25:43they were strategizing for Operation Sindur
25:46all the foreign attaches, the diplomats
25:49along with the opposition leaders, the all parties
25:51they were being kept into confidence
25:54Now, when the Operation Sindur has been successfully conducted
25:57it's time for the government to bring out all the details
26:01and especially in the wake of the misinformation and the fake agenda that's been run by Pakistan
26:07and especially it's trying to gather attention from the international media
26:10So it's very important for the government to bring out every detail with evidence
26:16and this briefing will be taking place in phases
26:19Pooja, today is the briefing for the foreign attaches, the defence attaches
26:24and this will keep on happening with more such briefings with the Parliamentary Standing Committees on Defence
26:31Parliamentary Standing Committees on Foreign Affairs
26:33and it's also possible that once again all the parties will be briefed about the operations in those details
26:39with evidential proof and also an effort will be made by the government
26:44to bust the myth that is being circulated by Pakistan
26:48And this is important, remember, especially to set the international narrative straight
26:55because it is clear that there are some portals who are not reporting fairly about India
27:00Thank you very much for now and Shivani will continue to track all the latest coming in
27:05with regard to how the GOI is going ahead with it
27:08Now, remember though, there has been a ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan
27:12at least for now
27:13That doesn't mean any deterrent with regard to Pakistan
27:16but at least a messaging has gone ahead
27:18But who's taking the credit war for the ceasefire?
27:22It's President of the United States of America, Donald Trump
27:24He's claiming that his administration brokered a deal between India and Pakistan
27:29American President further went on to add that both the nations were unwavering
27:33but America was successful in mediating
27:36But here's what Prime Minister Modi in his address to the nation at 8pm clearly stated
27:41Pakistan begged for a truce after being crushed and crippled in many ways
27:45by the Indian forces in the strikes
27:47And then, with one more claim of Donald Trump asserting
27:51he used trade as a leverage to broker a deal between India and Pakistan
27:55And that precisely led for the change
27:58But amid all of this, Prime Minister Modi had something else to say
28:01He said, terror and talks and trade cannot go together
28:04Let's listen in to both the world leaders
28:06and try and understand, what is America saying?
28:09How is India putting out its perspective?
28:12On Saturday, my administration helped broker a full and immediate ceasefire
28:17I think a permanent one
28:20Between India and Pakistan ending a dangerous conflict
28:23of two nations with lots of nuclear weapons
28:27And we helped also with trade
28:29I said, come on, we're going to do a lot of trade with you guys
28:32Let's stop it, let's stop it
28:34If you stop it, we're doing trade
28:37If you don't stop it, we're not going to do any trade
28:39People have never really used trade the way I used it
28:42That I can tell you
28:43And all of a sudden they said, I think we're going to stop

30:22was seemingly not going to stop and I'm very proud to let you know that the
30:29leadership of India and Pakistan was unwavering powerful but unwavering in
30:37both cases and having these they really were from the standpoint of having the
30:42strength and the wisdom and fortitude to fully know and to understand the
30:46gravity of the situation and we helped a lot and we helped also with trade I said

31:44If we talk about Pakistan, then the P.O.K. will be.
32:14If we talk about Pakistan, then the P.O.K. will be.
32:44There was a conversation that took place between Vice President Vance and Prime Minister Modi on the 9th.
32:50Then another conversation that took place between External Affairs Minister Jai Shankar and Secretary of State Rubio on the 8th and 10th.
32:59And on the 10th, Rubio also spoke with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
33:04The 10th conversations happened after he spoke with P.O.K. Army Chief Asim Munir.
33:10And the only conversation that he had with Jai Shankar was not for an off-ramp or a de-escalation or a mediation to that end.
33:21But very specifically, he called to say, I'm not doing an off-ramp conversation with you.
33:26This is just to inform you that Asim Munir wants a stop on the firing.
33:32So it was Pakistan that requested a halt in the firing.
33:37And there was no conversation on trade or for that matter, the other bogey that has been doing the rounds, nuclear.
33:44No conversation on trade or nuclear when it comes to India and the United States of America.
33:51Geeta, also, I want to understand this.
33:53With these claims coming in with regard to mediation from Donald Trump,
33:57why isn't this talk matching action on the ground?
34:00Because when I look at, for example, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Hamas war, all that and more,
34:05Donald Trump is eager to mediate on this issue.
34:08Tell me more about how globally do you think what is Donald Trump's perspective, plan,
34:12especially with regard to these mediations?
34:14Well, that's absolutely right.
34:18While he had claimed that he would, during his campaigning before he won the elections,
34:24that in the first hundred days itself, he'll be solving these problems when it comes to Russia, Ukraine and Israel, Hamas.
34:31In fact, he said it'll just take us 24 hours to solve the war in Russia, Ukraine.
34:39But he hasn't managed to do that.
34:42In fact, he has been cutting deals, but not moving forward in terms of ending.
34:48We'll have to wait and see where that really heads when it comes to ending.
34:51But for India, India has been very clear that they did not seek mediation.
34:55In the case of Russia, Ukraine, there was a mediation that was sought.
34:59They were speaking with the United States of America.
35:02In fact, separate conversations between the U.S. and Ukraine and the U.S. and Russia were taking place in order to find a solution.
35:09Again, U.S., Israel, and then U.S. and representatives who could talk on behalf of Hamas.
35:17So they wanted the United States of America involved.
35:21India was very clear that India did not want mediation by any country.
35:26If anything, the global community was told and the message was conveyed that if Pakistan stops fire, India will stop fire.
35:37If not, India will retaliate and retaliate harder.
35:40That was the only message that was to be carried out and to be conveyed, and which is what India did.
35:47Telling the world community, do not intervene.
35:49We don't want anybody's help.
35:51We're okay.
35:52We're doing all right on our own.
35:54All right, Geeta, thank you very much for now.
35:56We'll keep tracking all the latest that's coming in, especially the eagerness of the United States of America to hyphenate India, Pakistan,
36:03and for some reason bring in Kashmir.
36:04The strikes were never about Kashmir.
36:06Let's go across to some more news coming in.
36:08Let's take a look at that.
36:10Security agencies have released posters of three Pakistani terrorists responsible for Pehlgaab Massacre.
36:21Agencies believe that these three terrorists, these are Pakistani terrorists, images on your screen,
36:29who not only killed innocent civilians, 26 of them in front of the family members,
36:34but also made the women, the children watch all of that in horror.
36:38But I want to bring in Ashraf Vani for the latest on that.
36:41Ashraf, good morning.
36:42A lot of pictures were circulating earlier as well.
36:46Tell me about these pictures, these three Pakistani terrorists,
36:49that security agencies are now circulating and saying these are the ones behind it.
36:53What are they basing it on?
36:54Good morning, Pooja.
36:59Basically, on the day one after the Pehlgaab Massacre, India Today released this picture and said that probably this group may be involved in the terror attack in Pehlgaab.
37:10And there was that information shared by India Today in public domain was completely true.
37:18And now the army and the police have released the same picture on the different posters across the South Kashmir
37:25and has announced the bounty of rupees 20 lakhs for any clue about any one of these three Pakistani terrorists which are now visible in this poster.
37:38This was a group which we said on the day one that they carried out the terror attack in the Sunmarg on an under construction tunnel in which seven people were killed.
37:48One of them was a local doctor, six others were the workers and the engineers of that construction company.
37:55And then this group shifted to the Dachi Gham.
37:58There was an encounter with that Pakistani terrorist group in which one local terrorist from South Kashmir was killed
38:04and three managed to escape from the Dachi Gham forest.
38:09Finally, how they managed to reach the Pehlgaab and the Besaran Valley that is under investigation still going on.
38:16But one thing is clear that now the focus of the security agencies after the ceasefire with Pakistan on line of control
38:23and on the international border has got shifted again on the hunt of these three Pakistanis.
38:31You're right.
38:32And I want to take another question to you because I remember that you'd also send these pictures out later.
38:36There was this lack of clarity if they are the same ones or not.
38:39But it is the same picture.
38:41Does that mean we're looking at names like Hashim, Musa and more?
38:44Do you have the names clarity, the identity or that is something that we are possibly leaving it to the security agencies for now?
38:55Absolutely.
38:55These names are the same what you mentioned.
38:57This came in the public domain when Jomant Kashmir police released the posters and the sketches of the terrorists.
39:04They are matching with these individuals and I am not sure why that picture was not used at that time before releasing the sketches.
39:14But finally, now after the month-long almost investigations by the different security agencies including NIA,
39:21including the other intelligence agencies of Jomant Kashmir police,
39:25the security agencies had now reached to the conclusion that this is the group of three Pakistanis assisted by the local terrorists
39:34have carried out that massacre in the Pelagam on 22nd of April last month.
39:40And also it is clear that it is the top priority to hunt these terrorists for the security agencies
39:46before the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra in the first week of July.
39:50And that is why the security agencies have not only released these posters
39:54but are carrying a number of operations in different parts of the Kashmir value.
40:00Ashraf, finally one last question.
40:01Can you help explain what is written in the Urdu language there on the posters?
40:05Is it the cash reward?
40:06Yes, absolutely.
40:10The Pooja, it is written clearly that if any person from the population gives any clue about the identity
40:17or the information about these three Pakistani terrorists, he will be rewarded 20 lakh rupees
40:23and also his identification will be kept secret.
40:27That will not be disclosed who has given that information.
40:30So probably that may help because the terrorists will be going through any local area
40:35or any place and probably someone may see them and inform the security agencies.
40:40So this in many ways, remember, also establishes India Today's reporting since day one.
40:45India Today's colleagues on the ground had put out these images
40:47but there was lack of clarity at that point.
40:49But it appears now with these official posters,
40:51it is that image of the Pakistani terrorists
40:54who are posing, boasting of these images and posing like there are some heroes
41:01but the fact is they are responsible for point-blank range killing of innocent people.
41:05Remember that.
41:06Ashraf, thank you very much for now.
41:07I'll keep coming back to you with more details
41:09and let's hope that the identities as now have been put out
41:13will be able to have whereabouts known and they'll be caught in time.
41:16But remember, it's not just about the active terrorists
41:21who have their fingers on the trigger.
41:24In many ways, they are the puppets.
41:25It's about the sponsor, the backers of these terror outfits in Pakistan.
41:30With Prime Minister Modi also confirming that over 100 terrorists
41:33were killed in India's precision strikes deep inside Pakistan territory
41:37when about 11 terror launch pads across Pakistan
41:40and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were targeted.
41:42PM Modi described the operation as a direct strike on global terrorism.
41:46that it is a fight not just with regard to India
41:49but a fight for all world and a better world.
41:52He's also called Bahawalpur and Muridke the universities of global terror
41:56and have strong links to major terror attacks globally
41:59including the London tube bombing, several high-profile attacks in India of course
42:03and then referring to how Pakistani army's presence was seen
42:08at even funerals of terrorists in Muridke.
42:11Amid all of this, remember, it is important of how Pakistan's propaganda
42:15and lies are being busted, all of this with ground evidence.
42:18Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir visited the wounded soldiers
42:21at the military hospital, proving the kind of damage India has been able to inflict
42:25not just with regard to terror targets but later on the military targets too.
