00:00So many people around the world love sushi, but the fact remains that many
00:04times when you're enjoying it, you're eating raw fish. Eating undercooked foods
00:09can lead to food poisoning, so here's which types of sushi experts say put
00:13consumers at the greatest risk. A food safety expert at Microbac Laboratories
00:18tells a post that the amount of harmful bacteria living on raw fish depends
00:23mostly on how the fish was raised and stored rather than on the species of
00:28fish you're consuming. Experts say if you're unsure, steer clear of raw salmon
00:33because it has a higher risk of parasites than other fish. According to HuffPost,
00:37eels are also more likely to carry parasites than other fish types. Tuna also
00:42carries a risk when served raw but less likely to contain parasites than salmon.
00:46If you want to avoid foodborne illnesses at all costs, your best bet is to opt for
00:51cooked sushi like the classic California roll.
