00:00Hey it's Adrian and if you want the ability to transfer large files very quickly, the ability

00:05to charge your laptop or other devices with up to 240 watts of power, or the ability to drive 4k,

00:116k or even 8k displays, you should check out the Silkland Thunderbolt 5 cable. So let's take a

00:17closer look at how well it performs and a big thanks to Silkland for sending this out for review.

00:22In the box we have the Silkland Thunderbolt 5 cable and manual. The cable feels really premium

00:28so it comes in at around 48 grams or about 0.1 pounds and it's made with a braided nylon so it's

00:34going to stay durable and also flexible at the same time. And of course we have the two USB Type-C

00:40connector ends and there's also a little velcro strap to just keep everything nice and wrapped

00:45up whenever you're not using it. And if you're wondering about the length, it comes in at around

00:493.2 feet or about one meter long. So we have a max output of 240 watts. The transfer rate is up to 80

00:58gigabits per second. And then for video output, we have a couple options. So you can have three

01:024k displays at 144 hertz or you can have one 4k display up to 540 hertz. Now you can also connect

01:116k or 8k displays as well. There's also power delivery 3.1 support. I connected my Samsung T7

01:19portable drive and I was able to get consistent speeds over 700 megabytes per second, which is

01:24amazing because the T7 is rated for about a thousand megabytes per second. Now I didn't

01:29hit anywhere close to the advertised data transfer speeds because I don't actually have compatible

01:34Thunderbolt 5 devices like, you know, a Thunderbolt 5 dock with a really fast drive to really push that

01:40amount of data. But you can easily get around 10,000 megabytes per second or 80 gigabits, which is the

01:46maximum. The cable's capable of up to 240 watts of charging, but my laptop was drawing between 80 to a

01:53little over 100 watts because that's all it was pulling. Now it doesn't mean the cable can't deliver

01:58more as long as you pair it with a compatible charger and you have a device that has high power

02:02draw, it'll easily give you that. I used the single Thunderbolt 5 cable to simultaneously power my

02:08portable monitor and drive the display as my second monitor when connected to my laptop. Now this can

02:14power up to three 4k displays, one 6k display or one 8k display, which is really impressive. So if you're
