00:00At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

00:05This year on VE Day it's 80 years since the end of the second world war

00:10and I've been privileged today to spend time both in Abergavenny where a new commemorative

00:16bench was unveiled and here in Ruggett where we had a service and it's been amazing to talk to

00:23all the veterans and their families and hear about their stories and also just to remember the huge

00:29sacrifice that our servicemen and women have made over the years for our country

00:35and I give thanks to all of them. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
