Diogenes (412 BC - 323 BC), also known as Diogenes the Cynic or Diogenes of Sinope (Pontic: Διογένες ο Σινοπέας) was a Greek philosopher and one of the founders of Cynicism. He is said to have been born in Sinope around 412 BC, (according to other sources in 399 BC), and died in 323 BC in Corinth.
