00:06Is that exceptional in your mind?

00:08Yeah, yeah. I can't believe it to be honest. I've been trying and I'm so happy.

00:17How was the wait?

00:20Not nice. I don't want to do it again.

00:24Yeah, it was a long day for 13k.

00:27Who did you fear the most watching the rest of the race?

00:32Everybody are the big favorites. You know, he had Wow, Mads, Primoz, Primoz really scared me.

00:37So yeah, it was a stressful, stressful day.

00:41And how was your race? Were you satisfied with everything you did?

00:45Yeah, yeah. I think we did the first part smooth and controlled with the climb, nice and hard.

00:51And then this last section I thought was harder than we reconned.

00:54So I made sure to really sort of hurt in the second to last section.

01:00Do you have any regrets that you didn't make the front group yesterday?

01:05No, no. I went all in yesterday as well. So this is what we get and we're super happy.

01:10A new step in your career?

01:11Yeah, yeah, exactly.

01:14Vimoz, it's history again today. The biggest age difference between first and second.

01:21Only one second. What do you make of it?

01:26Yeah, I mean, obviously today the young one won, but yeah, still some stages to go.

01:33So yeah, I mean, hopefully also our older ones can show us.

01:38Did you expect to do so well?

01:41Yeah, I mean, it's just I didn't think about it.

01:45I mean, you know, I just went out there, tried to do my best.

01:51At the end was really close. So super happy about it.

01:55Did you have the information that you were possibly the winner?

01:59Yeah, some information, yes. But yeah, I mean, not really that you are one second close or whatever.

02:08But I mean, that doesn't really change. I mean, I like I said, I went out there, put everything there.

02:14And yeah, it was a bit too short today.

02:17What does it say about your shape?

02:21Shape is good. Like I said, I mean, I'm ready. I'm feeling good. I'm happy.

02:26So I don't complicate.

02:29Last year, one Slovenian took the Malia Rosa on day two. Same again?

02:36Yeah, I mean, same is that I took on day two, but we will see, you know, is far to go.

02:41So day by day, like I say. And yes, I mean, obviously for us, going for a GC is the most important than the one in Rome.

02:54Are you happy with what you have done today in the time trial?

02:58I don't know. It was a good effort, but I'm here to at least to keep the jersey and it wasn't possible today.

03:04So I'm not 100% happy, but we are still within the reach of gaining back the jersey tomorrow.

03:13So do you see tomorrow through a sprint or else?

03:18Yeah, we will see. Now we have to go back to the hotel and make a plan for tomorrow.

03:21And then we will do our absolutely best to to gain back the pink jersey.

03:25Has the pink jersey helped you to go faster today?

03:29Apparently not enough.

03:32But yes, same as at La Vuelta, the white jersey after the time trial. Are you happy?

03:40Yeah, of course, I'm happy because it's not every day you get a white jersey on the Grand Tour

03:47and it's my second Grand Tour and second white jersey in within two days. And yeah, it's just amazing.

03:53You know, we had the pink jersey and now we have the white jersey and the Chiclamino jersey.

03:59And for us, it's big achievement. So yeah, of course, we go for the pink jersey again tomorrow for sure.

04:07But now we enjoy. I enjoy the white jersey today. And yeah, it's I'm super happy with the with this time

04:15trial how it went today. And yeah, congrats to Primoz, congrats to Joshua. But they are faster today.

04:21But yeah, still, I'm really happy with my performance today. Where did you feel the strongest?

04:30Yeah, it was, you know, today it was a lot of cornering speed and technical performance,

04:38but also about the power. And I mean, I felt really good today. Also yesterday already,

04:44I showed good legs and I was really confident for the TT, you know, from last year or so. But

04:49yeah, I gave it all. But there were still guys faster than me. But yeah, it was within a few seconds.

04:56And yeah, what can I say? I'm happy with the performance and how it went.

05:02Tomorrow, lead out man again, because there is the pink jersey to get back.

05:06Yeah, we do for sure, lead out tomorrow for Matt's again. We go all in and it's only one second. So yeah,

05:17there is a big chance to take the pink jersey again. And we do it all for it tomorrow again. And yeah,
