Nick Lachey Opens Up About The 'Love Is Blind' Reunions

00:00Season 9 of Love is Blind is around the corner, right?

00:02Yeah, Denver's coming.

00:04Denver's coming.

00:05Or Menver, as I've heard it's called when you live there.

00:08Yeah, so as I always say, every season of that show is so different from any previous season

00:13and Denver is definitely unique in its own way, so I'm excited for people to see that.

00:17How do you and Vanessa kind of prepare for each season?

00:20Do you guys have like a game plan going into each season?

00:23No, I mean, it's just, you know, it's similar because you're meeting everyone for the first time

00:27when you have that first kind of introductory moment with them in the lounges,

00:30and we, our role is just to kind of be a support system for them, you know,

00:35they're obviously nervous coming in, but we don't know what to expect.

00:39We're kind of like the viewing audience.

00:40We have no clue what to expect coming into it.

00:42We're meeting them all for the first time.

00:44We're getting, you know, to know them for the first time,

00:46and we're watching their stories evolve just like everybody at home watching.

00:50So we never know what to expect.

00:51We just come in and have an enthusiasm for it, and off we go.

00:55Definitely. The show sparks so many conversations as well,

00:58and I'm sure it probably sparks a lot of conversations between you and Vanessa at home.

01:01What do you feel like you've learned or changed in your marriage after doing this show?

01:06I don't think we've changed anything.

01:08I think just what it does is it's refreshing to be around people falling in love, right?

01:13It kind of takes you back to your own story and reminds you of how it was right there in the beginning

01:18when you find that person that you love so dearly.

01:21And that's, you know, so it's great to be around that kind of an atmosphere.

01:25And it's refreshing.

01:26And, you know, the more you talk about relationships,

01:28and probably more so on Ultimatum than, you know, Love is Blind,

01:31the more it kind of reminds you that, hey, maybe we should be actually doing that too.

01:34You know what I mean?

01:35It's almost like therapy for us to talk about it in that way.

01:39And so it's been good.

01:40Yeah. And is there anything that you can tease about Season 9?

01:42Anything different?

01:43Anything that's, I know you can probably, the Netflix gods will probably do that.

01:47I'll be completely honest with you.

01:48I have not yet seen Season 9.

01:50Okay.

01:51I mean, the little bits that I, you know, remember from filming, sure.

01:53Sure.

01:54But we, again, we're like the viewing audience.

01:56We don't really truly see the season until, you know, we get ready for the reunion.

02:00And we can learn everyone's stories and kind of what went down.

02:03So we're as interested as everybody else.

02:05I couldn't really tease it up if I had to.

02:06Right. Yeah.

02:07And then do you and Vanessa have any rituals after reunion that you guys like?

02:11A very stiff drink after the reunion.

02:13The reunion, as you can imagine, that's a stressful, stressful day.

02:16And there's a lot of emotions, you know, obviously a lot that goes into that show.

02:21So, yeah, we definitely reward ourselves with a martini.
