Warren Buffett, despite owning $72 billion in Apple stock through his firm Berkshire Hathaway, used a $20 Samsung flip phone until 2020. In 2016, Berkshire Hathaway began buying Apple, and by 2019, their stake was worth $72 billion. Buffett humorously referred to his flip phone as a gift from Alexander Graham Bell. Even Apple's CEO Tim Cook sent him iPhones to persuade him to switch. Buffett finally adopted an iPhone 11 in 2020 after Apple’s market cap reached $1.5 trillion and his investment grew to over $83 billion, although he still rarely used apps.
