Transcript
00:00had to say yes and has to sign and have it certified exactly so isn't that it's beautiful
00:06right we always talk about free will in the catholic church he could say no but this means
00:10that whoever we will see on the loggia has agreed has said yes to this and as you can hear the
00:16crowds are coming and we see and we see the particular band they're coming out and they
00:24will and the swiss guards of course there's always a traditional salute of the the vatican hymn or
00:31anthem to celebrate the occasion it's part of the festivity of it and we hear the playing
00:38already and coming out there all in full uniform but it's special it's special too because you know
00:48these last two two more than two weeks we've had the swiss guards were present for certain things
00:56but now they have a pope once again that they are protecting that is their role that is their mission
01:03right to be where the pope is to protect him and so this is extra special because now we see them
01:07coming out again to the piazza because we will have a pope yes you know i live with 21 other priests
01:14in a residence all of us work in korea and we've been sharing at breakfast how hard it is in the
01:20morning when we're celebrating mass and there's always a prayer in the canon of the mass for the
01:25pope and you know we now have to skip over that and it's like your tongue doesn't stop you know
01:31so now we can pray once again exactly
01:34well our apprentices are folks can pray for us
01:40so again the band's here will be coming in and playing the anthems the hymns one
01:49the new pope appears just like the early dorby on the Easter Christmas or solid occasions
01:54that's right
01:55and so it's hard to be expected at this time and we'll probably have another at least a half hour before
02:03the new pope will be praying and we will all be praying as well everyone in the square will be praying
02:22around the world all of you watching and listening from home we are doing a prayer as well for this moment
02:28you can be sure even the new pope hears all this in the background because it's a lot of strong sound
02:36that's coming up there and propagating up right into the areas there uh in the buildings and and uh just
02:44outside the lodge are there as well uh you can you can hear that experience right the sounds of the
02:50streets the sounds of the square and uh it's it must be a sign of i mean they must feel encouraged hearing
02:57the cheers the music because this is a big moment for anyone and then to be to come out into the
03:04loggia and see thousands of thousands of people i mean a public speaking is not your thing that would
03:09be very intimidating and so to hear the support of the band and the people clapping and cheering must be
03:15must be extra special for that person absolutely a huge encouragement as well apart from the weight
03:19of the office and the and accepting and realizing the challenge the immense challenge that we'll be
03:26taking on and responsibility uh but encouraged by what is the fanfare we're seeing and hearing in saint
03:32peter's square right now and as i mentioned the crowds are filtering in uh security check uh before
03:40that but uh the uh the square is uh slowly filling up there with people coming in last month of
03:47evening of course they're lucky they have their time they have about this almost one hour before
03:55and so we see in the blue there the gendarmes and the vatican gendarmes and the band they have
04:00there and then of course the swiss guy the uniform there in position so
