00:00Sure, Jim, we get shown a lot of numbers and we speak to a lot of people on this channel
00:04and you hear it a lot in the media generally that people who enter the United States illegally
00:09or legally are statistically less likely to commit a crime than people who were born there.
00:14I mean, I expect you see these numbers all the time.
00:17I mean, tell us what's true and what's fake news here?
00:21Yeah, well, I mean, look, there's still saying there's lies, damn lies and statistics.
00:26So there's a lot of manipulation that goes on in terms of how people treat the data.
00:32But look, most immigrants that come to the United States, even if they're coming illegally,
00:36in other words, they're coming without any sort of permission slip from the government,
00:40most of them are not looking to commit crimes.
00:42They're looking for a better life.
00:43They're escaping from places like Venezuela or historically from Central America
00:48or even more recently from places like Haiti or the Far East.
00:52So you get a lot of people that are coming purely with the mindset of helping their family.
