00:00The Philippine Statistics Authority, or PSA, reported that the efforts of President Ferdinand

00:04or Marcus Jr.'s administration have been effective in reducing consumer prices.

00:09One key measure cited is the implementation of a maximum suggested retail price, or MSRP,

00:15which requires rice retailers to sell imported rice at no more than 45 pesos per kilo.

00:22As a result, the country's overall inflation rate eased further from 1.8% in March to 1.4% in April.

00:29This marking the lowest level since November 2019.

00:33The PSA remains optimistic that the downward trend in inflation will continue in the coming months.

00:59Hindi po natin nakikita ng mga nakaraang buwan dahil mga nakaraang talaga po nasa 50 pesos pataas po yung presyo ng ating bigas.

01:08So, yes po, malaki yung naitulong nung ginagawa ng gobyerno at nakaambag ito dun sa pagbaba o pagbaba ng presyo ng bigas

01:16at pagkakaroon natin ng negative inflation sa bigas mula noong January 2025.
