00:00The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS. An evolution of an icon. Underneath,
00:07it's powered by an updated 1,160 cubic centimeters triple cylinder engine,
00:13now pushing 180 and a half brake horsepower at 10,750 rpm. Torque? A solid 94.5 pound-feet at
00:248,750 rpm, with the peak moved lower for better real-world punch. It's smoother, too,
00:31thanks to a revised crankshaft balancing strategy. And that new single-exit exhaust?
00:37It saves 150 grams and keeps the weight centralized for sharper handling.
00:43The quickshifter works flawlessly, whether you're hammering high revs or rolling through town.
00:48But the big upgrade? Suspension. Gone are the manual adjusters.
00:53Now you get Aline's Smart EC3 semi-active suspension, the same tech you'll find on
00:59Ducati's Panigale V4S, Street Fighter V4S, and Honda's Fireblade SP. It's fully electronic,
01:07adjusting damping on the fly, though you still set preload manually. You can even fine-tune seven
01:13different suspension parameters, from braking support to acceleration control. Handlebars are
01:1910mm wider and 7mm taller, making for a more relaxed, commanding ride. Braking serious too,
01:27Brembo Stylima calipers bite into 320mm floating discs, paired with a Brembo MCS master cylinder for
01:35adjustable feel. Cornering ABS keeps everything in check. Wheelie control? Yep, adjustable, with four
01:43levels of lift. A manually adjustable steering damper hides under the headlight. Inside the
01:49cockpit, you've got a 5-inch TFT dash. Beautifully designed, but maybe a little slow to respond,
01:56and yeah, the text could be easier to read on the fly. Multiple riding modes, dynamic electronic
02:03settings, an IMU-powered sensor's tracking pitch, roll, and yaw. It's packed with tech. Looks wise?
02:10It sticks close to the outgoing model, but adds fresh wheels and color options. You can spec it
02:17with a fly screen or an Akrapovic slip-on if you want extra flair. And build quality? Exceptional.
02:24Everything feels solid, expensive, premium. Though a short front mudguard leaves the radiator exposed,
02:32grab a guard if you're planning to rack up miles. What's it like to ride? It's explosive.
02:38That triple-cylinder engine is torque-rich, smooth, and flexible. The suspension adapts in real-time,
02:46plush for cruising, firm for attacking. It's genuinely comfortable for a super-naked,
02:51wide bars, plush seat, roomy pegs. And that sound, the velvety roar of a triple,
02:58unlike a twin or an inline-four. It's addictive. Even in heavy rain, on track-focused tires,
03:05it inspires total confidence. Of course, it's not perfect. There's no screen, so at speed,
03:12windblast hits hard. A fly screen's almost a must. The TFT? Gorgeous, but small text and laggy
03:20response let it down. And for serious track days, its naked format leaves you exposed.
03:26At 17.5 grand, it's also pricier than some rivals like the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP or KTM Super Duke.
03:35But if you're cross-shopping? Your main contenders are the KTM 1390 Super Duke R,
03:42BMW S1000R, Aprilia Tuono V4, and Ducati Street Fighter V4S, though Triumph says the Ducati isn't a
03:50direct rival. The verdict? This isn't just a small update. It's a smarter, sharper speed triple that
03:57keeps the raw, muscular DNA alive while layering on comfort, control, and tech. It's the ultimate
04:04one-bike solution, fast, comfortable, packed with features, and thrilling every single ride. Sure,
04:11it's not built for touring out-of-the-box or hardcore track use. But for the road? For real-world
04:17riding with an edge? It's an absolute weapon.
