00:00Today I get to make a wedding ring using blue sandstone, amethyst and blue and purple opal all
00:06encased within a damascus steel ring. Blue sandstone is something I have never used before.
00:12It has a very interesting dark blue with the odd speckle of glimmer. To complement I add some blue
00:19opal. This was crushed down to the same size as the blue sandstone to seamlessly blend together.
00:25The next task is to add the amethyst band. This band will be slightly slimmer than the blue sandstone
00:32band at the request of my client. I also added crushed purple opal to it helping to keep a
00:39consistent shine to both bands. This is the part where the band will show its pattern.
00:45This involves placing the ring into an acid bath and allowing the wood grain pattern to slowly
00:51reveal itself. Let me know what you think in the comments, subscribe and as always thanks for
00:58watching.
