Imphal [Manipur], May 03(ANI): Manipur is rapidly advancing its capabilities to ensure public safety. Recently, the Manipur Fire Service inducted a fleet of firefighting motorbikes designed to tackle emergencies in narrow, congested areas that are often inaccessible to conventional fire engines. Ten high-tech motorbikes, each equipped with a 40-litre water tank, spray gun, and 2-kg extinguisher, have been deployed for rapid response in congested urban areas." The Fire Department has also added four new Water Bowsers, each equipped to ensure an uninterrupted water supply during major incidents. The new fleet also includes modern rescue equipment and exhaust fans to clear smoke from affected areas, adding to the department’s preparedness for complex fire emergencies. With these innovations, Manipur Fire Service is setting an example in smart emergency management. The swift, accessible design of the fire bikes and upgraded support vehicles reflects a shift towards localised, responsive disaster control, ensuring that help arrives when and where it is needed most.
