A specific door panel was designed for the 296 Speciale, a single block of carbon fiber with a minimalist design. The door handle originates from a raised functional area that ends in a characteristic faceted surface. Materially continuous with the rest of the panel, this area houses the Hi-Fi system, whose woofers broadcast music through holes cut into the carbon fiber.
The visible mountings harmonize well with the racing ambiance of the cabin. The tunnel is characterized by a fully carbon fiber structure onto which the main body is grafted. It features a raised surface that houses the functional elements and features the iconic tailgate that distinguishes the interiors of all recent Prancing Horse cars.
The inspiration for this element comes from the turret that supports the gearshift lever in Ferrari sports cars of the past, where the volume was emphasized by a separate block. In the 296 Speciale, the theme has been reworked, resulting in an object with a modern and sporty shape. The design and the skillful combination of the elements that make up the tunnel allow the tailgate area itself to be highlighted, making it the undisputed centerpiece of the interior.
