Taiwan's military has confirmed the delivery of a first batch of 16 ATACMS supersonic tactical missiles from the U.S. in January.

00:00The military says Taiwan received a first batch of 16 ATACAMS missiles from the U.S. in January.
00:08Military sources have independently confirmed the delivery of the missiles.
00:12Local media reports say another 48 of the missiles were scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of this year.
00:19ATACAMS is a supersonic battlefield missile with a range of up to 300 kilometers.
00:25The missiles are part of a deal agreed in 2020 which also included HIMARS rocket launchers.
