00:00Okay Bob, as you see your
00:01instructions earlier, as a
00:02reminder, be my commands at all
00:04times, protect yourself at all
00:05times.
00:06Touch them up.
00:07Good luck.
00:08Tim Bradley, we have been
00:10fortunate to see this ascent of
00:13Rafael Espinoza up close.
00:16We were calling the fight on the
00:18night when he shocked Robesio
00:20Ramirez and became a world
00:22champion.
00:23The guy who we have visited over
00:25the course of his more recent
00:26title defenses, you can see
00:29growth, but you also see a
00:31maturity and a guy who's very
00:33reflective and sincere when he
00:36speaks, this six-foot-one
00:38featherweight champion.
00:39Had a visit with him yesterday.
00:40He talked about how much
00:42emotion he has for the fans, for
00:45his home country people, and the
00:46responsibility he feels to
00:48represent them and himself with
00:51each and every performance.
00:52Yeah, that's a fighter fighting
00:53for something other than
00:54himself.
00:55You know, that's needed in the
00:56sport.
00:57You know, that's going to
00:58catapult you to greater
00:59things, you know, moving forward.
01:01And like you said, I mean, the
01:03discipline that he has shown, the
01:05hard work, all the changes that he
01:06has made since he's been a world
01:07champion, that should make him
01:09better tonight.
01:10Now, on the other side with Edwin Vasquez, this is a fighter based out of Fort Worth, Texas, whose only two losses came against world champions in fights that could have gone either way against Ray Ford, who went on to become a world champion, and then he challenged for the IBF Junior lightweight world title against Joe Cordino.
01:32Yeah, I mean, he has experience against world-class opposition, like you can say whatever you want about the matchup. However, this guy has been ID. He's rated in top 10 all across the board, and he's sanctioning body. So, he's a game guy. Yes, he's short. He's got a height disparity.
01:48Got to the inside, got to the kitchen, landed that left hand.
01:51Exactly. And when he gets to the kitchen, he's going to have to set his hands and shorter arms. Although you have Espinosa that likes to fight on the inside as well and gives up his height, those are going to be opportunities for the younger Vasquez or the shorter Vasquez to be able to land some of his offense.
02:06Yeah, we just saw it moments ago as Espinosa was firing back with right uppercuts on the inside. It is interesting to see a featherweight at 6'1 with his reach. 74-inch reach. Yet, he's so comfortable on the inside as you see him wrap around and put that shot to the body.
02:26Vasquez trying to inch his way forward.
02:28Yeah, he's inching his way forward, but he's leaning over that front knee and allowing himself to be available for the uppercut.
02:35You see right there, Espinosa, he shoots the uppercut up the middle, and that's a dangerous punch that Espinosa has in his arsenal. That can hurt Vasquez.
02:48Here he goes underneath with the uppercut again. It was just blocked. He's trying to go to the body with that left elbow, but consistent work rate from Rafael Espinosa.
02:57Yeah, Espinosa coming in with that spotted stance. Yes, he's shorter. However, he gets really low, and that's hard for a taller fighter to have to do.
03:05to bend his knees, or remain upright, you know, because you're setting yourself up to get hit with some big shots over the top. See that uppercut right there?
03:14But you see the exposure that he has, and he attempted the looping right hand right there over the top. Espinosa right now. Look, hey, Vasquez is getting in his kitchen.
03:23Look, pretty interesting end to round number one here. A couple times Vasquez has gotten to the inside with success.
03:29What's up next?
03:30De Noregis is getting in his feet and taking the side.
03:32All right, here it is.
03:34This is Chris.
03:35Yes, no.
03:36You're welcome.
03:37Good to be everywhere.
03:37Yes, sir.
03:37He's running a team.
03:38I'm gonna have the block of the back.
03:38I'm gonna have to show you the right hand.
03:40Yes, sir.
03:40You're welcome.
03:41And Mike, you're welcome.
03:42And Mike said, I'm gonna have some agreement to adjust your position.
03:43Dane, I'm gonna have a control over your head.
03:46You're up to the left.
03:46And Mike said, I'm gonna have to do this part.
03:50I'm gonna have to do this part of this.
03:51And Mike says, let's go on the left side side.
03:52Don't worry about jabbing upstairs, he's trying to hide up, this is giving him trouble.
04:02See how he's looking for you, that's exactly what I'm looking for you.
04:05Every now and then, bring one over on the corner, especially when you see him dropping
04:10his level, bring one short around the corner.
04:22Shushu Carrington, one of the real rising stars of the sport, of course he is in the featherweight
04:37division.
04:38We are watching the WBO featherweight world champion Rafael Espinoza, 6'1", to the 5'7",
04:45Edward Vazquez, Espinoza beat Robesi Ramirez in an upset to become a world champion, December
04:52of 23.
04:53He said to me in that first fight, I really had the desire to be a champion, I had the
04:57heart of a champion, but now I learn, I improve mentally, physically, I feel like I'm twice
05:03as good now as I was on the night when I first won a world championship.
05:07Absolutely, I mean look, when you win a world championship, it gives you confidence, they've
05:11always said in the past that you improve 30% better because of that confidence and I have
05:19to agree with that.
05:20You know, you have something to defend.
05:22You know, that belt, holding on to that belt, that's money for your family and the longer
05:26you hold on to it, the more money you'll make throughout your career.
05:29Edward Vazquez did have success in that first round, as you see good work in the left hand
05:33from Espinoza to open up the second round.
05:35But Espinoza's work rate in that first round, he threw 86 punches to Vazquez's 45 thrown, he
05:41was 23 out of 86.
05:43Look, this fight's going to boil down to how much Vazquez can take, that's it, because
05:47he's going to take something to get on the inside.
05:49That reach is done to play, and he has to take those uppercuts right there, those type
05:53of shots, in order to get his offense off.
05:56So, it's going to be about how much he can take of that.
06:02Touching, just changing pace a little bit, finding the target in Vazquez, wrapping around
06:08that left hand every so often to the body.
06:11Texas-based Edward Vazquez, Guadalajara Mexicos, Rafael Espinoza, and stylistically, and I'm
06:18sure fight fans everywhere are saying, thank you for the opening round and a half of just
06:25throwing punches and being offensive-minded compared to what we saw Friday night in Times
06:30Square and what we saw last night in Riyadh.
06:32And another problem, see, look, Vazquez is getting to where he gets.
06:39He's getting to his mark and he's landing.
06:41However, he don't have the punching power, I believe, to be able to hurt Espinoza.
06:46Yeah, he can catch him.
06:48However, not hurt him.
06:50There's been a couple right hands underneath to the body from Espinoza in the second round
06:55have been effective.
06:56He's still looking for that right uppercut every so often.
06:59And the one thing that you gotta know about Espinoza is he likes these type of fights.
07:04He likes the inside fight.
07:05He gives up his height and that's where the vulnerability is.
07:08However, look, when he's ready to turn it on and turn it up, he can.
07:13He has the ability to throw 90, 80, 100 punches around.
07:18There's a right hand that lands as there was just a little bit of separation.
07:21We've been so impressed by Espinoza.
07:24There's Torino Sanchez back in June of 24.
07:28He thought he was his absolute best here in Vegas with that fourth round TKO.
07:32As we come to the end of two.
07:33Time!
07:34Time!
07:44You got it.
07:45Time!
07:46Time!
07:47Time!
07:48Time!
07:49Time!
07:50Time!
07:51Time!
07:52Time!
07:53Time!
07:54Time!
07:55Time!
07:56Time!
07:57Time!
07:58Time!
07:59Let's go here.
08:00Keep touching him everywhere.
08:01Listen to me.
08:02Every now and then, off the head movement.
08:03Level take!
08:04Hard fucking.
08:05Hard fucking jab down the pike.
08:06Right in the face.
08:07Right in the face.
08:10Great scene here at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
08:40The first of our two World Championship fights in Forbes.
08:43A massive crowd is out because for the first time in four years, the monster is back in America.
08:50The pound-for-pound elite, undisputed junior featherweight champion.
08:54Now, in a way, is coming up at our main event.
08:55But we're getting a really good look at Rafael Espinoza in this title defense against a fiery Edward Vasquez.
09:05I like what I'm saying from Vasquez right here.
09:07I mean, he's landing shots.
09:08He's coming in behind.
09:10Leaning in, not having to worry about anything.
09:13Look at the willingness to throw here with those uppercuts.
09:17By the way, to this point, Rafael Espinoza, in the early moments of this third round,
09:21has now thrown 176 punches, landing 56, landing 31 power punches.
09:27In the entire 12th round fight last night, Canelo Alvarez threw 152.
09:32He's got 177, and we're in the first minute of the third round.
09:35Look, Vasquez is coming to fight.
09:37He's coming to fight.
09:38Yes, he's had a huge re-disparity.
09:41However, he's already found his way in the inside.
09:43And again, I told you, Espinoza, he doesn't mind staying close in the pocket.
09:46So this is going to turn out to be an entertaining fight, people.
09:54Espinoza can make this fight really easy.
09:56Just stand on the outside and using his reach, right?
10:00On the inside from Vasquez, he has to take advantage of those opportunities that we saw moments ago.
10:04Yeah, and Espinoza's going to give it to him.
10:09Again, Espinoza now trying to box on the outside, trying to get his rhythm, trying to change up things.
10:14But again, it's really hard being a tall fighter and have to hit a guy that stands, squats down low like that.
10:21Tall featherweight champion in history at 6'1".
10:24He goes to the body with that right hand from range.
10:28That body shot had an effect.
10:31He's hurt.
10:32He's hurt.
10:32Down the key.
10:36Down the key.
10:39It's going to be a liver shot, Tess.
10:40That's what I'm thinking, a liver shot.
10:43He's going to shoot the uppercut.
10:45And then he's going to come around with the left hook to the liver.
10:48He's going to bring those hands on the inside.
10:50He's going to be protecting that body on the inside, the solar plex area.
10:53And he's going to come around with the left hook to the gut.
10:55You see how Vasquez for a moment there downshifted offensively after that body shot.
11:02And head clashes.
11:05I've been seeing like three or four of them.
11:07Vasquez coming in behind his head, leaning forward.
11:09There's that right uppercut again.
11:10There he is.
11:11It's been available for the first three rounds here.
11:16Trying to line it up again as the shorter Vasquez leans over that front knee.
11:20It's a good, solid round for the world champion, Rafael Espinoza.
11:29Coming to the end of three.
11:31What a great night of Sunday night fights here in Vegas.
11:35There it is.
11:35Espinoza on the attack.
11:37Keep your hands tight, lean and go, lean and go.
11:54But if you stay down the center line, he doesn't have to look for you.
11:57That's why those uppercuts, those touchdowns are right.
11:59That's why you're working.
12:01Just aggressive, but very controlled.
12:17This to me is your work.
12:17You take what you do for those attributes.
12:19Do not go for him.
12:21But you are ready or clean.
12:23It works like you know to work.
12:24Beautiful scene here in Vegas for the championship fights
12:28and the uppercuts.
12:29We've been detailing an uppercut night so far for Espinosa.
12:32Uppercut City, that's what you do when you're the taller opponent.
12:35Guess what?
12:36The punch that's available for you, the uppercut.
12:39He's been landing it at will.
12:41Fosquez has yet to defend against it.
12:43All he has to do is bring that arm across or that glove across
12:47just to defend against it, to block it,
12:49at least put something in the lane of that uppercut.
12:52However, he has it, and he's taken it well thus far.
12:55However, we're going to see how long he can take that uppercut.
13:00Featherweight champion Rafael Espinosa.
13:02You see the total punches, 85 of 241.
13:0557 of those are power punches.
13:07And what a game, Vasquez, to go straight to the inside
13:11after that third round, trying for that overhand.
13:16I love the hard desire of Vasquez.
13:18I'm not going to lie.
13:19You know, he's here to win.
13:20He's not here to lay down.
13:22Remember, we talked about that right hand to the body
13:25in the last round
13:26and how it just sort of unplugged Vasquez for a moment.
13:29That was it right there, Timmy.
13:30Yeah, when you, look, when you hit that,
13:32you can hit a guy with the best shot upstairs.
13:34But again, downstairs, no one likes it downstairs.
13:38That's the soft area.
13:39And once he landed that right hand,
13:41he found the key.
13:42He know what he needs to do.
13:44However, look, Espinosa likes these type of fights.
13:48He's entertaining right now.
13:49Vasquez looking for work on the inside.
13:57You see 17 of the last 19 fights for Espinosa have finished by knockout.
14:02He's trying to split the guard, gives an angle now,
14:04and then goes back to that right hand to the body.
14:06Vasquez has been game.
14:08Of course, he comes from the great pedigree of the fighters in Fort Worth, Texas.
14:12His second world title fight of his career.
14:15Went up against Joe Cordeon, of course, Fort Worth, Donald Curry, Paulie Aiella back in the day.
14:21Look at Espinosa using angles now on the outside.
14:24That's a new wrinkle.
14:25He did have some angles.
14:26You know what?
14:26I take that back.
14:27He did have some angles.
14:28He did have some angles, but he's using them heavy tonight.
14:32Just pivoting out of harm's way.
14:33Right to the inside as he doubles up the left hand.
14:39Vasquez lands to the body.
14:43And there's the right uppercut, but he fires over the top of it with the left hand of the zone.
14:47And look at the pace now as Espinosa on the attack goes with the uppercut back to the body,
14:53and then a right hand to the body.
14:54He hurt him with that left hook downstairs, Tess.
14:58Had two body shots there.
14:59The left hook and the right hand.
15:02The body work has been great.
15:03Oh, you can see it.
15:04Doubles up to the body again.
15:06He's got him in big trouble.
15:08The champs on the attack.
15:10Espinosa teeing off on Vasquez.
15:12Vasquez trying to survive the last 30 seconds of round four.
15:16What a right uppercut.
15:25He's in trouble against the ropes.
15:28Man, oh, man, is Espinosa bringing it here tonight.
15:32Boy, the sheer toughness of God Vasquez is something else.
15:39Oh, right back to the body.
15:42One for good measure on the bell.
15:46He's fine.
15:56The deep breath.
15:58Recover.
15:58Give me the bucket.
15:59Recover here.
16:00Stay nice and relaxed.
16:01Here, spit it out.
16:03Rafa, este round recibiste golpes que no tienes que recibir.
16:07A tu distancia.
16:08Ya lo lastimaste y le quieres volar la cabeza.
16:10Abajo, lo lastimaste abajo.
16:11Tengale, abajo y tranquilo.
16:13Tranquilo.
16:14No te tiene que ganar nada.
16:15Tú eres tranquilo.
16:16Here's the right hand to the body that started the onslaught of punches.
16:21Left hook missed there.
16:24Hit him right there on the hip.
16:28Ended the round again.
16:29Looking for that left hook right downstairs to the liver.
16:33Vasquez knows he has his man hurt.
16:36Excuse me.
16:37Espinosa knows that he has his man hurt right there along the ropes.
16:40Putting those combinations together.
16:42Let's see how he comes out in this next round.
16:45What a great way to start this night here in Vegas.
16:50Can Espinosa get rid of a game?
16:54Edward Vasquez.
16:55Bernardo.
16:56Rafael Espinosa.
16:57They just want him to focus on the body.
16:59Marco Antonio Barrera is here working with him as well.
17:02They don't want him head hunting.
17:04Yes.
17:05Right back to the offense for Espinosa who landed 120 total punches through the first four rounds.
17:13120 total punches he landed in the first four rounds.
17:15That's more punches landed than Haney and Ramirez combined.
17:18They combined for 110 on Friday night.
17:21Finally, the offense boxing fans have been waiting for this weekend.
17:24Let's bring in Mark Kriegel.
17:26How do you see things right now, Mark?
17:29Four rounds to none.
17:32Round three was a microcosm of the fight.
17:34Vasquez is doing great.
17:35He just doesn't have the power to equalize.
17:37That body shot changed the whole thing.
17:38I do not know how Vasquez survived round four.
17:43Back to the body with that right hand, Timmy.
17:46Yeah, he's looking to open him up.
17:48It seems like Vasquez understands what he's trying to do.
17:51I mean, he's doing the best he can to protect his body.
17:55However, see the combination change right there.
17:58Oh, good combination.
17:59Hey, good things happen when you let your hands go,
18:01and he threw between punches, and it worked.
18:05Vasquez just stepped out of range for him to go downstairs after those combinations,
18:08but you know he's trying to produce that knockout downstairs.
18:11That's for Dane's show.
18:14He has been hurt to the body multiple times,
18:16goes back to it halfway through round number five.
18:18He used the uppercut again to bring the defense in
18:20to create that opening on the outside.
18:28The level of the game.
18:29Oh, that left hand went low.
18:31Here's the warning from Harvey Dock.
18:33One of the best in the game.
18:34Goes right back to it, by the way.
18:35Doubles up the left hand.
18:36Goes right back to it.
18:37Right uppercut sneaks in as well.
18:38It's too much firepower, Tess.
18:40Look at it come raining down here.
18:42Oh, Vasquez is in big trouble again.
18:46A minute to go in round five,
18:48and the ascended rising star featherweight champion is all over him.
18:54Espinosa.
18:57He has found his gear again.
18:59Let him go.
18:59Let him go.
19:07Another right uppercut just glancing that time,
19:09but you can see Vasquez falling forward.
19:11Oh, my goodness.
19:13Six uppercuts in a row.
19:15Look at the punishment,
19:16but the Texas tough Vasquez stands up to it somehow.
19:22Nose bleeding and everything, Tess.
19:25That nose is busted up.
19:27He's got blood streaming down.
19:29He's trying to hold on.
19:31He's taking punishment to the body.
19:33His face is red.
19:34A straight right hand right down the middle,
19:36and yet Vasquez stands in the pocket,
19:39blood streaming from his nose as the champ brings it.
19:44Need to stop this match.
19:45Time!
19:53How are you feeling here?
19:55You're taking a lot of punishment.
19:57I'm good.
19:58All right.
19:59Well, you got to show me something.
20:00I can't let you take that much more punishment,
20:02so I'm good.
20:03All right.
20:04Get a rinse.
20:05Spit this out.
20:07Spit this out right here.
20:09Give me two deep breaths.
20:10Listen to me.
20:11These are the rounds we told you he's going to be dangerous.
20:13This is the dangerous rounds.
20:14We're getting through the storm here.
20:15You got to slip and stay in his chest.
20:17If you ain't got nothing there, march him back.
20:19Do what you got to do every time.
20:21You see what I'm saying?
20:21Yeah.
20:22That breaks his rhythm.
20:23Do it again.
20:24Do it again.
20:25Do it again.
20:25We got to weather this storm, so we tire him out, and we can start coming back upstairs.
20:38Start finishing from the bottom up.
20:39If there's nothing there, slip and count and stay in his chest.
20:42We're out, we're out.
20:43You all right?
20:44Yeah, we're out.
20:45That's a way to take too much.
20:47Good shot.
20:51As we start the sixth round of this championship fight, referee Harvey Dock turned to Edward
20:55Vasquez and said, you got to show me something.
20:58What he's been shown right now is 123 power punches that have landed on him, including
21:03this three-punch combination, Tim.
21:04This is ridiculous.
21:05I mean, look.
21:07I mean, I understand toughness, but getting hit with these type of shots over and over
21:11and over again.
21:12I mean, look.
21:13Vasquez is a tough guy, but, man, I'm telling you right now, he's going to be sore tomorrow.
21:17That's for damn sure.
21:1833 power punches landed in the fourth round.
21:2033 power punches landed in the last round.
21:24Uppercuts.
21:24Straight rights to the body.
21:25Left hooks to the body.
21:26Every which way Espinosa has done damage to Edward Vasquez.
21:31I mean, look.
21:32Look how vulnerable Espinosa is.
21:34He's just walking straight through these shots.
21:36I mean, he doesn't respect anything coming from Vasquez.
21:46It's like Vasquez has the style definitely to give Espinosa fits.
21:51You can see he's landing, but if he had more punching power, we could be in a different fight.
21:55Keep in mind, this is a guy in Edward Vasquez whose only two losses came against world champions
22:02in fights that all observers feel could have gone either way.
22:06He goes up against Espinosa here, and it's Espinosa rolling.
22:11As game and tough as Vasquez is.
22:14Oh, look at the work there.
22:15It's like his head is like a double-end bag, the floor-ceiling bag in the gym.
22:25The speed bag with that combination.
22:28And the one thing you've got to understand or take notes is that Espinosa, he hasn't gotten out of second gear yet.
22:41He has not, Tess.
22:44That's a scary thought to me.
22:45He hasn't revved up the engine.
22:46He hasn't.
22:47And what you're really describing is how in control he is.
22:51How composed he is.
22:52Yes, in control.
22:54He knows he can take the shots.
22:55He's not worrying about anything coming back.
22:57He's taking his time slowly, you know, punishing, softening up Vasquez.
23:02Look at the face of Vasquez as he eats another right upper cut.
23:07Gets sent back from that right hand.
23:10And tries to punch up with a two-punch combination.
23:12Man, give the guy credit.
23:13He is game.
23:15He's just absorbing way too much.
23:17I'm just waiting on Espinosa to turn it up.
23:22When he wants to end it, you're going to know.
23:34He's come off the pace a little bit here in round number six, but still in complete control.
23:38And continues to do damage compared to the sheer output we saw earlier.
23:43Now at length, behind that jab, as it comes to the end of six featherweight championship fight.
23:50Is he tough?
24:09Yeah, we knew he was going to be tough.
24:10We're in there.
24:11We're still in the fight.
24:12Sit down, slip, encounter, stay in his chest, stay nice and tight.
24:16Anytime you get to the ropes, look to build from the bottom up.
24:19We just stay slipping and hard counters.
24:22Slipping and hard counters.
24:23I want you to throw crazy flurries in between so you give him a shot to counter.
24:26Slipping hard counter.
24:27One of the greatest of all time, the Hall of Famer Marco Antonio Pereira,
24:42who's just off to the side, sitting behind the corner of Rafael Espinoza, the Mexican legend,
24:49watching the current Mexican featherweight champion.
24:55He has been by his side since he was 14 years old.
24:59Espinoza was a teenager, a young teenager, when Marco Antonio Pereira started working with him.
25:05Look at the total punches.
25:07180-04-61.
25:09Here's the guy that delivers power time and again on the left of your screen.
25:12That is the great Naoya Inouye, a.k.a.
25:15The Monster, 26 knockouts with his 29-0 record, the undisputed champion in two divisions,
25:22a four-division world champion, and finally back in the United States to fight in prime time.
25:28And that is coming up in moments as he has his title defense of his junior featherweight,
25:33all four belts on the line against Ramon Cardenas.
25:36That's coming up in just moments.
25:37Round seven.
25:41There were rounds earlier we thought we didn't hear,
25:43we wouldn't hear the bell for the seventh round.
25:45I didn't think so either.
25:47However, that toughness of Vasquez is something else,
25:50and right now he's trying to use some footwork to get out of range,
25:53keep himself out of range,
25:54and some head work to make Espinoza miss.
26:04Oh, goodness.
26:06That uppercut.
26:07He's got to get out of that position in that neutral corner,
26:09because that uppercut's going to be there all day.
26:11All day.
26:14Just one place, body shot on the liver.
26:17That's all it's going to take.
26:18Bernardo, what are they saying in the corner of Vasquez?
26:20Look, Luis, Antonio Cabello told me we knew we had to weather the early storm,
26:24and we just have to stay consistent on the inside.
26:27Weather the early storm.
26:28This thing's been like a hurricane going through the desert here in Vegas for six and a half rounds.
26:33Body shot, uppercut, uppercut, uppercut.
26:36He knows it.
26:37He's going after it.
26:38Body shot, running down straight right hands.
26:41This thing is over.
26:42Espinosa just gets better, better, better, and wins by TKO.
26:48I don't care how tough you are, Tess.
27:01You can't take that amount of punches.
27:03No.
27:03I don't care.
27:06You can't take that type of punishment at all.
27:09This guy is your kind of fighter.
27:10Yeah, absolutely.
27:11He is everything that you love and respect in the game.
27:13Absolutely.
27:14I mean, look, Espinosa, was it clean work?
27:17No, it wasn't clean work.
27:18However, look, that vulnerability, it may make guys want to fight him.
27:23But look at this right here, the finish.
27:25He know he had his man hurt.
27:27Just a matter of time.
27:29Three uppercuts.
27:31Blind him with that lead hand right there.
27:34Has his man in the right position right there and just teeing off.
27:37Forcing the ref to step in to stop the action.
27:40Great work right there.
27:41Great experience by Espinosa.
27:45That left hook right there.
27:46He flicked the jab out there and came around that guard.
27:50Came around that elbow with that left hook.
27:53That started it all right there.
27:55That was the beginning of the end.
28:03Everything that he said he would do.
28:05That face is the only scorecard you need to see.
28:10A batter, Edward Vasquez, who was tough.
28:14He was game.
28:15But man, oh man, did he run into something special here tonight in Espinosa.
28:20Look, I thought he landed that left hook to the body.
28:22He didn't.
28:23Vasquez blocked that shot.
28:24But again, it was too much.
28:25It was just a matter of time.
28:27I mean, I was listening to the corner.
28:28The corner was trying to keep Vasquez in the fight.
28:30Vasquez was telling his corner man, hey, it's tough.
28:34This guy is tough.
28:35Yeah, he is tough.
28:36He's a nightmare.
28:37Not only do you got to deal with the height, the reach, but you got to deal with the volume
28:41and the punching power of Espinosa.
28:42Let's make it official.
28:45Here's Jimmy Lennon Jr.
28:48Ladies and gentlemen, we have the time of 1 minute 47 seconds in round number 7.
28:55A referee in charge, Harvey Dock, stops the contest.
28:58He is the winner by way of technical knockout.
29:01And he is still the undefeated WBO featherweight champion of the world, Rafael Edivino Espinosa.
29:14Rafael Espinosa, the 6'1 WBO featherweight champion.
29:24His third title defense, and he put on an offensive showcase.
29:30The average for featherweights in terms of landing is 27%.
29:34He landed 40%.
29:35But the 161 power punches with 60 to the body, 6-0 to the body in not even 7 full rounds,
29:47that ends it impressively.
29:49To the ring we go, and Bernardo.
29:59Moment of sportsmanship here between the champion and a very game, Edward Vazquez.
30:06What did you think about such a game performance and how many punches your opponent was able to take tonight?
30:14Look, I knew that when they gave me his name, he was going to be a game fighter.
30:34That's why I was so excited about this fight,
30:36because I knew that I was going to have to dig in my bag and show what I'm capable of.
30:41I was sitting with Marco Antonio Barrera, and Marco was the former champion.
30:53The legend said, if he just goes to the body, he wins this fight easily.
30:56Do you like making the fights tougher for yourself to give the fans a show?
31:00No, I don't know.
31:01No, it's all.
31:03It is like us from the start.
31:04I don't know who the group is brands and your rookie Probably is aписus帽.
