Transcript
00:00We are in the Parque de la Memoria
00:17giving tribute to the victims of the State terrorism here in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
00:23The Holocaust was one of the most terrible events that had to live in humanity.
00:29We can say a government, a state, that was designed to destroy people.
00:36When we started talking about the war,
00:40in my house we started to feel terrible panic.
00:46The cellapel was the most terrible thing.
01:01To this line, they went and where they disappeared,
01:06at the beginning we didn't know anything about what happened with these people.
01:10And one of them explained to me,
01:13a Hungarian who worked in the bathroom,
01:17and told me, look, they are burning people.
01:21They were fighting for people.
01:24The armed forces,
01:26conscientious and normalcy of the process,
01:29didn't have a future...
01:31The State terrorism, what happened in many cases,
01:37was to take as a model that nazism,
01:40took what happened in Europe for more than 60 years,
01:44for more than 60 years,
01:46to put it into practice with these people,
01:49the desaparecidos of the dictatorship.
01:51In both places, the goal of the perpetrators was achieved,
01:55which was the deshumanization of the victims,
01:58the posification of the victims.
02:00It is to say,
02:01the victims in the centers of Argentina
02:03came a moment in which,
02:08from the perception of the perpetrators,
02:12did not recognize the same,
02:15did not recognize the human being.
02:21And we took the testimony of Ms. Sara Ruz,
02:24and other testimonies that tell us
02:26the history of State terrorism and what happened with the Jews.
02:30The fact of being a Jew in the centers clandestinos
02:33of detention in Argentina
02:34had a plus of teaching,
02:36a plus of humiliation,
02:39of maltreatment,
02:41and also, of course,
02:43an emphasis on torture.
02:46We are waiting for my son
02:48to come back from the atomic commission.
02:51He does not come,
02:53he disappears,
02:55as many others
02:57from the atomic commission.
02:59And it began the terrible search.
03:04We were normal people,
03:06we could already expect something much more
03:09about life
03:10and continue living happy.
03:12We broke the life in the year of 1977.
03:16In the clandestinos
03:17the flags with swastika
03:19proliferated,
03:20the discourses of Hitler,
03:22the German marches
03:25the Germans
03:27accompanying the torture sessions.
03:29And what happened
03:30with those
03:32who just took the model of Nazism
03:35to be able to put it into practice
03:38here in our country
03:40for something more than 30 years
03:43very close.
03:44The history is present.
03:46is the honorary part of the
03:53entire planet.
03:56It's not a place to be
03:57in the space.
03:58It's a place to be
03:59in the new continent.
