00:00long ago in a world much like ours but brushed with a little more magic the moon did not simply
00:08shine it sang every evening as twilight painted the sky in soft purples and blues the moon would
00:15release a lullaby so gentle that no human ear could hear it its melody wove through the dreams
00:21of children settled the rustling leaves into a hush and even calmed the restless waves of the
00:27ocean the world slept peacefully wrapped in the moon's invisible song in a small village nestled
00:34between emerald forests and silver rivers the people had grown so accustomed to this nightly
00:39peace that they never questioned it parents tucked their children into bed with kisses whispering
00:44the moon will sing you to sleep and sure enough as soon as their heads touched their pillows
00:50they drifted into dreams but one evening something went wrong it began with a whisper of unease
00:58eli a curious boy of seven was the first to notice he lay in bed staring at the ceiling waiting for the
01:05familiar tug of sleep but it never came mama he called i can't sleep his mother stirring a pot of
01:12chamomile tea frowned that's odd the moon's lullaby always helps but when she peeked outside the night
01:19felt wrong the wind usually a soft hum by now was restless rustling the trees like an impatient sigh
01:27owls normally silent hunters hooted in confusion even the fireflies flickered erratically as if they too
01:34were too unsettled to glow properly soon the whole village was awake farmers rubbed their tired eyes
01:41dogs whined instead of curling up the river which usually murmured sleepily babbled in anxious
01:48ripples something had happened to the moon's lullaby and without it the world could not rest
01:54eli's family gathered around the fireplace their faces lit by flickering flames his older sister
02:01mira clutched her favorite storybook her clever mind already working if the lullaby is lost she said
02:08we have to find it but how asked papa rubbing his tired eyes the moon is too far away eli still
02:16clutching his stuffed rabbit had an idea what if we follow our dreams mira's eyes sparkled the dream
02:23powered balloon years ago their grandmother had told them stories of a magical balloon woven from patchwork
02:29quilts stitched with threads of forgotten dreams it was said to float on the size of sleepers and could
02:35travel to the edges of the night sky the family rushed to the attic where dust danced in the moonlight
02:41and there it was a magnificent balloon its fabric shimmering with memories of sweet dreams
02:47we'll need supplies mama said packing a basket with warm milk dream cookies made with honey and a pinch of
02:54stardust and a lantern that glowed with captured fireflies with a deep breath they climbed in ready papa
03:02whispered the balloon trembled then with a soft whoosh it lifted into the sky carried by the
03:08whispers of a thousand sleepy wishes higher and higher they rose until the village below was just
03:14a cluster of golden dots the air grew cooler and the stars oh the stars were no longer distant sparks
03:22but living shimmering beings you're looking for the lullaby aren't you a star chimed its voice like a
03:29tiny silver bell you know about it mira asked the stars nodded sadly we've tried to sing in its place
03:36but our voices are too bright the moon song is deeper older like a mother's hum one brave little star
03:44twinkled we'll guide you to the sleepy clouds they might know more and so with the stars lighting their
03:50way the family sailed onward the clouds were usually soft pillowy creatures drifting lazily across the sky
03:57but tonight they were tense and frayed at the edges we can't sleep without the lullaby a cloud groaned
04:04rolling in discomfort and when we can't sleep we can't dream and when we can't dream a sudden crack
04:11of thunder split the air the family gasped as the sky darkened the clouds unable to rest had turned into a
04:19storm a swirling growling tempest of unrest we have to calm them eli cried mira grabbed the dream
04:27cookies and tossed them into the storm the clouds smelling the sweet magic softened they nibbled at
04:34the treats their grumbles turning into size better mama asked the clouds nodded sleepily but the lullaby
04:41it's still lost where papa asked a whisper curled through the air the great celestial tree at the very
04:49edge of the night sky where the stars grew sparse and the darkness deepened stood the great celestial tree
04:56its branches stretched across the heavens and its leaves were made of frozen starlight and there
05:02tangled in its highest branches was the lullaby a shimmering thread of moonlight struggling to break
05:09free it must have slipped from the moon's grasp mira realized but how could they reach it the branches
05:15were too high too delicate then eli remembered the firefly lantern he held it up and the light stretched
05:22stretching like a golden ladder carefully oh so carefully mira climbed the tree trembled but she
05:29held on at last her fingers brushed the lullaby got it as soon as she freed it the song sprang to life
05:35swirling around them like a sigh of relief the lullaby soared back to the moon and instantly the world
05:42exhaled the storm clouds dissolved into gentle mist the stars hummed in harmony the wind settled into a
05:50contented whisper and down below in the village children snuggled deeper into their blankets
05:55animals curled into their nests even the rivers murmured sleepily once more the family's balloon
06:01drifted home landing softly just as dawn tinted the sky pink as they climbed into bed at last eli
06:08whispered sometimes peace gets lost but we can always find it again and with that the moon's lullaby
06:16i wrapped around them singing without a sound as the world drifted softly into dreams the end
