Srinagar, May 03, 2025 (ANI): A visionary artist and cultural entrepreneur named Saika Rashid established first Sufi art gallery in Srinagar. It offers a much needed platform for local artists to exhibit their work and celebrate the region's rich spiritual and artistic heritage. Her gallery showcases her own work and also other artists’ work who lacked the space or opportunity to share their talents. She has completed B.Tech in electronics and communications and MBA. Her journey was far from easy especially as a woman navigating societal expectations and limited opportunities. Driven by her love for Sufism and deep desire to create a space for creative expression, she turned her dreams into reality. Her gallery is more than just a display space as it is a hub for cultural dialogue, spiritual reflection, and community building. Through her efforts, Saika is not only preserving the mystic beauty of Sufi art but also empowering a new generation of Kashmiri artists to find their voice and audience. Her journey stands as an inspiring testament to what passion, resilience and purpose can achieve. Her contribution to the cultural fabric of Srinagar is both timely and transformative, and her story is one of courage, creativity, and community.

00:28It's been a little bit, even when I came up with the kids, I wanted to do it.
00:43I love that platform.
00:45You made up personally.
00:46It's a good experience here too.
00:48Yeah, I agree.
00:50It's a change.
00:52I was waiting for your question.
01:22Did you understand?
01:32Yeah, I think it is.
01:35We are the students who are playing in Syria.
01:40So we are very interested in learning.
01:43We are using really difficult.
01:45Art-K related, I was always inclined towards it.
01:48But yes, it was like a passion and like a hobby.
01:56I took it with my journey.
01:59Then, I think from last couple of years, more than I'll say four years now, three, four years.
02:06So, I had enough time to give this artwork, this art time to give this artwork.
02:21Then, art, you know, you want your art exhibit too.
02:27So, I started with Kashmir only.
02:28I started with Shrinagar.
02:29There was the first G20 Open-Ear Polo View exhibition, where I have displayed my art first time.
02:39After that, my journey went on.
02:42And, state-wise and national level, I took my art out.
02:49And, people also showed how much talent in Kashmir is.
02:55But, with time, I realized that before Kashmir, I will talk about it.
03:00When you go outside, when you get exposure, you always try to compare the two places.
03:07So, I thought that our artworks usually do events here.
03:13After that, the artworks are displayed in stalls.
03:18So, I didn't go outside.
03:19I saw the artworks in proper galleries.
03:20With dignity.
03:21And, where I feel like you have the power of art.
03:22So, this was an idea.
03:23Because my father used to accompany me.
03:24When I went outside.
03:25Delhi, Bombay, Ajmer.
03:26So, we felt that there is a need of such a platform in Kashmir as well.
03:33Where it will be an easy platform for all people.
03:47For all the budding artists.
03:49Which are here in Kashmir.
03:50And, they got a place like this.
03:52It's in downtown.
03:53In my opinion, it's around 5th kilometers.
03:57Where people can easily exhibit their artwork.
04:01Father, we discussed.
04:03And, he said, I want to start it.
04:05Because, I saw your journey.
04:07I saw your journey.
04:08I saw how you struggled when I went outside.
04:10But, here, an artist's life is not easy.
04:14Because, you have created art.
04:17But, what do you want to reach the logo?
04:20But, what is the platform for it?
04:22So, that was the reason we came up with this idea.
04:26So, I felt very good here.
04:28Because, I've never seen such an ancient place.
04:31I've never seen such an ancient place.
04:32I've never seen such a gallery.
04:33So, this was the first time.
04:34I've seen such an artist.
04:35And, I mean, here, there are such an artist.
04:39They don't get any place.
04:41If they have an exhibition.
04:42So, they have to go to a mall or other places.
04:45In hotels.
04:46They have to go to a mall.
04:47They have to go to a hotel.
04:48They have to go to a place.
04:49And, they have to go to a place.
04:50So, this is a place where artists can keep their artwork.
04:55And, they can do exhibitions.
04:57And, here, I've put this new thing here.
05:02So, people can know about this.
05:05Because, there is a lot of art here.
05:07But, people don't know about it.
05:09And, people feel good to learn about it.
05:12And, with variety, there are 4 years of art here.
05:15How?
05:17Because, experience.
05:17lonely.
05:18I've never seen.
05:19We've never seen anything.
05:20The city said, how are we dealing with it?
05:21We also gotta think, maybe we could look growing some ditions.
05:23So, like, within or someone else.
05:24They're not going to tell you they are.
05:25So, like.
05:26They're paying us for all courses.
05:27This has helped us to do pi.
05:28Sure.
05:29Another deity.
05:32Collector.
05:33Yeah, what else?
05:34One man.
05:35Sad động ironic insect and expense that.
05:37So, that's all about coming back at the Dharapon.
05:40One woman.
05:41I was a fan of the film and I was a fan of the film.
05:48I got to meet a lot of people.
05:53He saw me as an art.
05:56He was a fan of the film and he was a fan of the film.
06:00But he was a fan of the film.
06:02He was a fan of Dubaï and he said,
06:05Then you don't want to do anything else.
06:07I said, I will do this today and tomorrow I will do it.
