00:19Friends, this is Carol's night.

00:21But before I hand the microphone over, I just want to thank you all for all the love and

00:33support that you have given me, but more important, our party, our values, and our bodies.

00:45We've been in first in dark times, but we've climbed the mountain, and we are doing great

00:51things, and I am so proud that the reforms that we introduced in the first term of the

00:57Albanese government are going to be delivered and built upon in the second time.

01:06I'm feeling a little bit shocked.

01:08So as I walk around tonight, you're going to see I'm going to look a bit shocked.

01:12So until I see it come up and it says we've won, and I'm still going to be in a little

01:17bit of disbelief, but I think it's probably looking pretty good.

01:21So I'm so elated, I'm so grateful, and so I can't wait to get started, assuming it all

01:33And, you know, what I stand for, I think probably you've all figured it out.

01:42I stand for people, for community, for the environment.

01:46I care about people, I care about being positive, I care about us creating a future for the next

01:52generation, which is better than the one that we've had.

01:56I care about people that don't have a voice.

01:58So what I am going to bring into the parliament is a voice for the voiceless.

02:02That's why I stand here.

02:04I'm so grateful for the people who are working amongst particularly people with disability

02:17and their families for many years.

02:19And that has taught me so much about humility and grace and kindness.

02:27And so I want that to be part of the story that we tell as a party.

02:32The Labour Party doesn't leave people behind.

02:35We want everyone on the bus.

02:36We're going to make sure everyone's on the bus.

02:38And so I'm so proud to be part of this.

02:42I'm so proud to represent you.

02:44And I'm so proud to represent the Labour Party.
