00:00The Albert Fish comes out, and then shortly after, we'll have a female fan of the band
00:15come out, take the stick away from him, and proceed to beat him up on stage throughout
00:22the remainder of the song.
00:23People talk about serial killer culture, and what they don't understand is that's American
00:29culture.
00:30I got more and more practiced, versed at what I was doing and how I was going to ask for
00:36what I wanted in the long run, which was art.
00:40People actually come from everywhere for this tour.
00:43Remember when we did that open mic at that Christian coffee house?
00:47Yeah, that's right.
00:48They loved us.
00:49They did.
00:50They were all left.
00:51They were like, well, you guys are singing about Satan, but you guys are pretty good.
00:53It was entertaining.
00:54I like it more about the psychology of why someone would do this rather than be fascinated
01:00of why these crimes have happened.
01:03Our inspiration for the song Mr. Fish was actually from a documentary we saw.
01:11This painting is the pivotal piece of the Mountain series.
01:15It's called Heel to Skelter.
01:17I came across the story of Chicago's murder castle, and it was the story of Dr. H.H.
01:23Holmes.
01:24I was reading a book about Richard Ramirez, and in the book it said he spent his spare time
01:28writing to people on the outside.
01:29I was like, yeah, that'd be pretty cool to try.
01:31Gacy sent me this card for, you know, my mother's death.
01:38Pretty much if you can name any popular killer who's well known, we'd probably have a song
01:43about him.
01:45My personal opinion about these type of things is that they are actual historical artifacts.
01:52The people that really glorify murderers and bad guys and serial killers, these are the
01:58guys that are at the top of the heap.
02:00They got me interested in it, they got you interested in it, and they got all of the
02:04world interested in the grisly, macabre actions of these weirdos.
