Pakistan’s army chief, General Syed Asim Munir, visited the Tilla Field Firing Ranges to observe military exercises.
The drill comes amid rising tensions with India following a militant attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam area last week, in which Islamist gunmen reportedly killed at least 26 people.
Pakistan has denied involvement and called for an independent investigation.
