00:02Because it's been the long-term goal of the Republicans to, they've argued for years, just what Greg said.

00:10There isn't enough private capital, people aren't investing enough.

00:13How are they going to get that money?

00:15Well, they take it from children, the disabled, the elderly, people who can't fight back.

00:22And we are not lacking for capital in this country to invest.

00:26And by the way, the economy under Donald Trump was not as Greg describes it.

00:33Under Joe Biden, we had 16 million jobs in four years.

00:38The economy's GDP growth was greater.

00:41And significantly, the pay data that Social Security counts up to the penny for every American,

00:48the lower half of workers, the bottom 50%, for the first time in more than 30 years,

00:54their pay grew faster than the pay of people at the very top.

00:58Under Biden, the number of workers paid $100 million, $50 million a year or more, fell by about half.

01:05But workers making below the median pay of about $40,000, their pay grew 20% faster than the top group.

01:17So Biden really improved the economy for working people.

01:21Trump's economy has been great for the very wealthiest, a handful of whom have more wealth now than the bottom 50% of Americans.
