00:00A very good evening to one and all present here.
00:06I, Hsia Aimee, take great pleasure in welcoming you all to Sarwai, an introduction with Ashwanya Prashanar.
00:14Thank you so much, sir, for spreading your valuable time and tasting us with your presence.
00:19I extend a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present on and off the dais, professors and fellow ICTs.
00:27We mark every picnic with the lighting of the lamp, so that we can spread the light and in it guide others too.
00:35We uphold this tradition here too.
00:38I would like to request Ajayi Prashanji, Honorary Registrum, Prof. Araya Veshwak, Eastern Carolina, Prof. Amit Radha,
00:48and the Dean of Research and Innovation, Pradhanusha Devanason Lab, to come on to the stage and like the dais,
00:57as a tribute to Narasthara Swati, the Goddess of Knowledge.
01:01I now call upon our Honourable Registrum, Prof. Araya Veshwak, to introduce Ajayi Prashanji.
01:15Good evening. I can see her at least response. I can also see that you are very eager to hear Ajayi Prashanji.
01:29Actually, Ajayi Prashanji doesn't need any introduction. However, as a practice, I have to introduce you, sir.
01:42Ajayi Prashanji is an Indian Vedanta philosopher, environmentalist and a social reformer.
01:54Ajayi Prashanji is an acclaimed Vedanta executor and a national specific author of over 100 books. He is a powerful voice of social, spiritual awakening in today's world.
02:21Today, tens of millions of people, especially the youth, get inspired daily by Ajayi Prashanji.
02:33Through his direct contact with C-Pulse and through various internet-based channels, he continues to break varied rapport.
02:43Ajayi Prashanji has consistently talked in his class and received highest commendations and prizes possible for a student.
02:56Since his childhood, he has been reading books. Often he used to get lost in reading. He would skip myths and slip. At the age of 10, he had read almost everything.
03:12His father's collection and was asking for more books to read. His father had extensive home library. And his entire library books he had read at the age of 10. Very commendable.
03:30Ajayi Prashanji. He is the founder of a non-profit organization named Prashanth Advit Foundation . He has worked as a management professional for a few years in a variety of industries.
03:46When he was 28 years old. When he was 28 years old, he started Advit life education out of a mystical and spiritual urge with the goal of giving people an inner clarity message for their lives.
04:02Around the age of 30, Ajayi Prashanji started speaking publicly in the form of public discourses and is followed by open discussions.
04:14Ajayi Prashanji.
04:15Ajayi Prashanji
04:33Aajayis Prashanji
04:36Shantri to
04:37interact with the audience.
04:45Pranam Achariji. My name is
04:47Devranjan. I am third year BTEX student
04:49and as we all know
04:51India recently celebrated its 75
04:53years of independence and as
04:55a citizen I see developed
04:57countries of US, UK
04:59and those in Europe
05:01which are
05:02better developed and better have a
05:05better income. This was driven
05:07through materialistic ways.
05:09How India as a
05:11developing country can use spirituality
05:13to become a developed country?
05:15You see that which you are
05:16calling as the
05:19materialistic approach
05:21is
05:22nothing wrong actually.
05:31It's just that it might not be
05:33complete.
05:35But there is a difference, a big difference
05:39between something being wrong
05:42and something being incomplete.
05:45Right?
05:50Vedanta is very clear about it.
05:55Education must necessarily
05:58consist of two components.
06:00The first component
06:05or the lower component
06:08is called
06:11Avidya
06:12or
06:13Aparavidya
06:14It's to do with
06:19the world
06:21the material world
06:22the thinkers
06:27the seers
06:29said very clearly
06:31if you do not
06:33know the material world
06:36you will be condemned
06:40to fall
06:42in a deep place
06:45deep and dark place.
06:48it is extremely important
06:50it is extremely important
06:50that you
06:52understand
06:53what this world
06:56that you experience
06:57through your senses
06:58is all about.
07:01Therefore
07:02science
07:04as we know it
07:06is very important
07:08and very useful
07:10you cannot just brush it away
07:14by calling it
07:16materialism
07:17India
07:20suffered a lot
07:22because it did not
07:24pay adequate
07:26attention
07:27to material
07:28advancement
07:28and the sages
07:35say both things
07:36on one hand
07:37they say
07:37if you
07:38ignore
07:39material education
07:42you will
07:44suffer
07:45and then
07:47they say
07:47if you
07:48ignore
07:49inner education
07:51again
07:55you will suffer
07:55but out of these two
07:58and this is coming
07:59from
08:01a spiritual book
08:05therefore it becomes
08:06all the more significant
08:07they say
08:08out of these two
08:09kind of sufferers
08:10the one who suffers
08:13due to absence
08:15of material education
08:16and the one
08:17who is ignorant
08:19about
08:21the inner self
08:22one who does not
08:23have inner education
08:24who is the one
08:25who suffers more
08:26yes
08:28what do the
08:29Upanishads say
08:30they say
08:31the one
08:32who does not
08:34have material education
08:35he suffers more
08:37you will go to a bad place
08:41if you do not have
08:45inner education
08:46which you usually call as
08:47spiritual education
08:48if you do not have that
08:50you will go to a bad place
08:52but if you do not have
08:53worldly knowledge
08:55you will go to a worse place
08:57and then
09:01the Upanishads say
09:02if you have both
09:03then you will never
09:07be afraid
09:08you will never be conquered
09:09you will be such a winner
09:12that even death
09:14will not be able
09:15to terrify you
09:17you must have both
09:19there is a lot
09:22that we need
09:23to learn
09:24from the west
09:25right
09:28we have paid
09:31a price
09:33already in our history
09:35when the
09:39British came here
09:41with relatively
09:45small armies
09:48they were able to
09:49defeat
09:50the various Indian armies
09:54they fought a lot of
09:55battles here
09:56in most of the battles
09:59the British were
09:59outnumbered
10:00their armies were
10:02relatively smaller
10:03and still they could win
10:04there were many reasons
10:06obviously
10:07but one of the reasons
10:10was that
10:10their technology
10:11was more advanced
10:12and if you
10:17lose
10:18the various
10:19battles
10:20of various
10:21kinds of freedom
10:22what
10:26is now
10:27left to save
10:29when freedom
10:31itself is lost
10:32and freedom
10:32has many aspects
10:33each of those
10:36aspects
10:37requires
10:39preservation
10:40security
10:40defense
10:41a lot of that
10:45requires you
10:46to be materially
10:47strong
10:48at the same
10:53time
10:53we very well
10:55know that
10:56the west
10:56itself
10:57is suffering
10:58due to
11:00lack of
11:01inner
11:01knowledge
11:02spiritual
11:03education
11:03and because
11:05the west
11:06did not
11:08pay adequate
11:08attention
11:09to that
11:10aspect
11:10they themselves
11:13have landed
11:13in a big
11:14mess
11:15you look at
11:17the climate
11:17crisis today
11:1890%
11:21of the
11:22crisis
11:23is attributable
11:25to the
11:26developed
11:26western
11:27first world
11:28it could
11:33be said
11:34that lack
11:35of inner
11:35education
11:35is one
11:36of the
11:36important
11:37reasons
11:37why
11:39the west
11:41has become
11:42such a
11:43threat
11:43not only to
11:45itself but to
11:46the whole
11:47world
11:47not only to
11:49mankind
11:49but to all
11:50the species
11:51that inhabit
11:52this planet
11:53it is very
11:56difficult really
11:57to say which
11:58one is a
11:59bigger problem
12:00to not to
12:03have material
12:04knowledge or
12:06not to have
12:07knowledge of the
12:07self
12:08knowledge of the
12:08mind
12:09knowledge of
12:10who you really
12:11are from the
12:12inside
12:12if you do not
12:15have material
12:15knowledge you
12:16will fall prey to
12:16all kinds of
12:17superstitions
12:18if you do not
12:21have inner
12:21knowledge you
12:22will start
12:22considering
12:23yourself as
12:24the only
12:25thing that
12:25exists and
12:26matters
12:27and that
12:29your body
12:29and everything
12:31that arises
12:32from the body
12:32like thoughts
12:33and emotions
12:34will be your
12:36masters then
12:37it will be
12:39another kind
12:39of slavery
12:40do you see
12:43what happens
12:44when you do
12:46not have
12:47knowledge of
12:48the world
12:49then somebody
12:50from the
12:50world will
12:51arise and
12:52enslave you
12:53and if you
12:56do not have
12:57knowledge of
12:57yourself then
12:59your own
13:00evil tendencies
13:01will enslave
13:02you
13:02in either case
13:05you will be
13:05condemned to
13:06be a slave
13:07who wants to
13:08be a slave
13:08nobody
13:10and which
13:12slavery is
13:13worst to be
13:14enslaved by
13:15somebody outside
13:16of you or to
13:17be your own
13:17slave both
13:19the slaveries
13:19are equally
13:20bad depending
13:23on the
13:24context one
13:26could say one
13:27is worse than
13:27the other but
13:29we do not want
13:30to choose here
13:31we want to
13:33dismiss both
13:34these threats
13:35right so our
13:39educational
13:39institutions must
13:41have both
13:42on one hand
13:44obviously you
13:45must have
13:45state-of-the-art
13:46teaching facilities
13:49laboratories
13:50or teaching
13:53institutions should
13:54be focusing
13:54equally on
13:57research and
13:58we should be
13:59generating papers
14:00and patents
14:01at the same
14:04time we
14:06should have
14:07humanities
14:09departments
14:10very rich
14:10humanities
14:11departments
14:11even in
14:13courses of
14:14professional
14:14education
14:15and basics
14:18of philosophy
14:21psychology
14:23when I say
14:25philosophy I
14:27definitely wish
14:28to include
14:29Indian philosophy
14:30the various
14:31darshans that
14:32we had
14:32so you
14:36all as
14:37students of
14:38professional
14:38courses must
14:39be exposed to
14:40that as well
14:41right however
14:44by that I do
14:45not in any
14:46way wish to
14:47take away the
14:48importance
14:49of professional
14:51technical
14:52education
14:53science is
14:55extremely
14:55important
14:56mathematics
14:56the various
14:58humanities the
14:58arts all of
14:59them are very
15:00very important
15:00along with
15:03them we
15:04must also
15:05have
15:06courses that
15:08deal with
15:09life
15:10courses that
15:13educate a
15:15young person
15:15in what
15:19it means
15:20to exist
15:22what it
15:23means to
15:24relate
15:25the very
15:28question of
15:29identity
15:29the question
15:31of values
15:32the question
15:35of the right
15:36relationship
15:37between the
15:38self and the
15:39world
15:39there must
15:42be an
15:44entire
15:44department
15:45dedicated
15:46to this
15:47if that is
15:49not there
15:49there will
15:50be problems
15:50the West
15:51is already
15:51facing those
15:52problems
15:52we do not
15:54want to
15:55follow the
15:55West in
15:56this respect
15:57we want
16:00to take
16:01the best
16:02from
16:03everywhere
16:03we do not
16:06want to
16:06repeat
16:06somebody's
16:07mistakes
16:07do we
