00:00He's doing a great job. Thank you very much.
00:03Mr. President, thank you. And thanks to the Cabinet.
00:07So, at the risk of insulting everybody else at the table,
00:10I believe that I am the youngest member sitting at the table.
00:14And, you know, it occurred to me that from the time that I was born
00:18to the time that Donald J. Trump was inaugurated just a few months ago,
00:24we went from, again, 40 years,
00:27we went from the world's manufacturing superpower
00:30to one in which we depend on the People's Republic of China
00:33to make the things that we need.
00:35We went from the proudest military in the world
00:37to one in which we failed to meet our recruiting goals.
00:41And we went from one in which bipartisan border policy
00:44was the consensus of both Democrats and Republicans
00:47to one in which we allowed 20 million people
00:50to run roughshod illegally over the countryside,
00:54causing crime, causing a stress in the welfare system.
00:57And, again, that happened over the lifetime
00:59of the youngest member of the Cabinet.
01:03And what has happened in 100 days
01:04is that we've started to reverse
01:06every single one of those negative trends.
01:09And I think what it shows to me
01:10is that the President,
01:12and you sit in the Oval Office
01:13and you see these portraits of President's past,
01:16and let's be honest,
01:17most of them have been placeholders.
01:19They've been people who have allowed their staff
01:22to sign executive orders with an auto pen
01:24instead of men of action.
01:26And the reason the media attacks this administration
01:30as chaotic is because the President
01:33is solving the problems
01:35the American people set about to solve.
01:38He's actually doing the things
01:39that he promised that he would do.
01:40And, Mr. President,
01:41it's been an honor to be part of it
01:42for the past 100 days.
01:44And let me just make one other observation,
01:46because it's interesting.
01:49I've seen the data.
01:50I've monitored it.
01:51I've looked at it.
01:52But the most underreported fact
01:55of the first 100 days
01:56is that we came in
01:58with a massive recruitment shortfall.
02:01And in 100 days,
02:02Secretary Hegseth and President Trump's leadership,
02:04we now have people breaking down the doors
02:07to join our military.
02:08To the media assembled here,
02:10it's a really interesting question.
02:12Why has that happened?
02:13Completely aside from the fact
02:14that I think it's a good thing,
02:15or I think that President Trump
02:16deserves political credit for it,
02:18why did we go from a military
02:20where people didn't want to serve
02:21to now all of a sudden
02:22they do want to serve?
02:23That's a story you guys should cover.
02:26But compared to that,
02:27how much time have you instead focused
02:29on the fact that we deported
02:32an MS-13 gang member
02:34with a valid deportation order?
02:36And why is it that the press
02:37is so focused on the fake BS
02:40rather than what's really going on
02:42in the country?
02:43I think that what we've shown, sir,
02:45is that you can do a lot.
02:46You can do a lot in 100 days,
02:47but you've also unfortunately revealed
02:49that too much of the American media
02:50hasn't learned the lessons
02:52of the past 40 years.
02:53Thank you, sir.
02:54You
