00:05You're the former governor, you're a rancher.

00:07I guess, what does this mean to you that the charges against this family were dropped?

00:11And then if I can, the Pakistani government says they arrested an ISIS suspect linked to the New Orleans Day terrorist attack.

00:17Can you talk to us a little bit about what the foreign nexus to the suspect is and if they'll come to the U.S. to face charges?

00:23Well, I don't want to speak specifics on that investigation that's still ongoing,

00:27but yes, this is someone who's tied to those New Year Day's attack that happened in New Orleans

00:32and we're grateful that this investigative work continues to go on every single day to bring these terrorists to justice.

00:38You know, President Trump, since he's been in office, we have removed over 240 known terrorists,

00:45people that are on the terrorist watch list that we have picked up and removed from this country already

00:50because of his leadership and his focus on law and order.

00:53So I'm just so grateful for him that he recognizes the danger that we're in in this country

00:58and know that there are many more out there that we still have to make sure that we're removing to keep our country safe.

01:04So many times when we talk about national security, we talk about it from beyond our borders.

01:08We have people in this country living here who hate us, who want to destroy us,

01:12that President Trump is determined to remove,

01:15and that's one of the examples of the success that our investigators and our law enforcement have been able to have.

01:20What I would say about the Maud family and their ability to stand here today

01:26and know these criminal charges have been dropped,

01:29I'm extremely grateful and overwhelmed by the blessings of that,

01:32but I am still heartbroken at what they had to go through.

01:35I cannot imagine what their nights were like, tucking their kids into bed,

01:39wondering if they were going to get to wake them up the next morning

01:42because they didn't know when the next Forest Service or law enforcement official

01:46would show up in tactical gear at their door and just take them away.

01:49They threatened to take them away from their children because of this dispute

01:53that this family did nothing wrong and fully cooperated on.

01:57So I just think about those nights they went through,

01:59the financial hardships that they went through trying to figure out what their future was.

02:04I'm grateful we're here where we are today, but let it be a lesson to all of us

02:07that we should put ourselves in their shoes for five minutes

02:10and think about what they went through

02:12and ensure and promise to ourselves that it never happens again.
