00:49genuinely mean this one of newcastle's best defenders of the premier league era and i know that sounds a

00:54bit uh ott but it really isn't when you think of what he's what he's done with newcastle i mean

00:59first of all won a trophy which you know the defender's done in premier league history for

01:03newcastle um but his style of play you know his ability to bring the ball out the back the fact he

01:08is so dominant in the air as well um the perfect fantasy premier league player as well because he

01:13loves a goal uh and normally a spectacular one as well but he's so integral to the way newcastle

01:19play you know in terms of bringing the ball out and playing those amazing crossfield passes that he

01:24plays that just open up the game um just just a phenomenal signing and i do honestly think and

01:30i mean i've been watching newcastle for um i'm not going to say how long for but it's a long time

01:34i've been watching them and i can't remember a defender that's coming and made the impact he's

01:39made the only one possibly would be jonathan woodgate but then he didn't really play enough

01:43for newcastle because of injuries so i just think fabian show should be mentioned any argument when it

01:49comes to underrated because newcastle fans appreciate him a lot um i'm not sure people

01:55outside of newcastle realize just how good he is but he's now part of a team that will hopefully

02:00play in the champion's league twice um he's obviously won the the carabao cup and played

02:05in another carabao cup final um and and just being so consistent and as i say so integral to what eddie

02:13how wants to do newcastle um he just has to be in the in the equation for this yeah i can definitely

02:19see that to be fair like share for me as i'm a brighton fan i i kind of look at the premier league

02:24i look at players that kind of stick along nicely he's one of those he's not one that always stands

02:29out as one of the very best he's never in the conversation as the one of the best center backs

02:33in the premier league maybe when you talk about outside of the top six or the big six as they call

02:37it newcastle maybe making that a big seven at the moment um but no i i would agree i think the way

02:43he dribbles out from the back is really important the way he passes out he's always looking forward

02:47he's not one of those that just kind of passes sideways or backwards he's always on the front

02:51foot his leadership as well his personality really shine through and even when newcastle have had some

02:56tough moments he's the one who's kind of alongside maybe bruno and joe linton the likes in the side of

03:02the core of the team to really kind of kick the players back on and try and get them motivated so no i

03:06can definitely see that and he's got a lot of quality as well
