Christie Brinkley Takes Us Back to her whirlwind romance with musician Billy Joel.

00:00I think the whole thing was was so much fun but one of the things was that they

00:10sprang on us that they wanted Billy and me to do this little dance step right

00:13and and so we're like oh sure okay and so they they showed it to us and I put

00:24on my high heels and we go out to do it and it was the hottest night of the whole

00:30summer like it was sweltering that night I look when that when that Rolls Royce

00:37pulls up I look kind of glowy that's because it was 110 degrees in the car

00:42you know but we so it was so hot that when we go to do the dance step my heels

00:53would sink into the tar in the you know in the whatever that's called hard top

00:59of the gas station it wasn't hard anymore it was gooey and my heels would and stick

01:07and I'd go to like do my little kick and it either wouldn't go at all my leg was

01:13like glued to the ground or I might and you know foot would lift right out of the

01:20shoe and it would stay stuck to the thing and I would go whoa where's my shoe

01:24and so so I had to try to do that little step with sort of my weight in the ball of

01:33my foot you know in the front so that my heels wouldn't sink in you know I'm sure

01:39you've been at a cocktail party and heels on a lawn similar I I mean the whole

01:45thing was in incredible like you know we had decided to get married on a ship in

01:52New York Harbor and and it was this big boat and you had to get on it down there

01:59and all the rooftops had paparazzis all over helicopters buzzing and it was like

02:05whoa all this you know like whoa and and so there was it was like electricity in the air

02:17from it all all the excitement you know it was just like palpable you could feel it it

02:22was it was it was just such such a wonderful day such a beautiful day and and everything was

02:31was perfect you know um uh even even getting champagne spilled down my dress the second

02:39they said I said I do and somebody said yay and it sloshed out down all over my gap you know my whole

02:48dress um it was good luck you know it was good luck and um no it was it was great yeah I like to say I

03:00had um two great marriages and two duds you know he was one of my two greats and I and

03:12probably have to say he was the love of my life because he was the first person I had my baby with

03:19too you know and that's like a very very special you know thing I definitely was captivated by his

03:29sense of humor um he first and foremost he made me laugh and he was really really witty really funny

03:41really uh really great but then also when I had my very trying times he was so sensitive and caring and

03:50sweet and um uh and then I was blown away by his talent it was just a real joy to live with you know

04:03him at the piano with our house full of music and then our baby playing the piano lessons and you know

04:11there was always music that was just a beautiful you know vibrant house full of music and I loved it

04:20being a mom was the one thing that I 1000% knew I wanted to be that was you know first and foremost in my

04:29mind and it didn't disappoint I loved everything about I loved being pregnant I felt creative my most creative

04:38I loved my my newborn babies I loved every phase of it I felt that I loved making the magic for them

04:48and in making the magic for them I got to relive all the magic again myself and um and seeing the world

04:56through their eyes you know um and having the babies made me an activist because I want to protect the

05:04world for those little souls you know make sure that they have a healthy environment to grow up in as

05:11well you know so and I think as all mothers you know get that feeling where they have the nesting

05:18instinct and then once the babies are out the nest becomes the planet and they want to you know help

05:24protect it so it's it's a beautiful cause and effect you know kind of just this amazing thing having

05:33children it the joy of my life truly
