Pictures show ‘decimation’ as scores of mature trees cut down

The cutting down of mature trees along an A-road has been branded “decimation of the countryside” by concerned environmentalists.

00:04giant mature poplar trees were cut right back down to pretty much the ground all

00:09in one go and what did you when you saw it with your own eyes what did you think

00:13I was shocked and like a lot of people that messaged me they felt like they

00:16were driving into the landscape the landscape felt different the place looks

00:21different when you drive through it now and since posting my video that's what

00:23everyone's saying celebrating the natural world is what I like to do but we do

00:27have a dark cloud over our heads a lot of the time when we celebrate the

00:30environment so unfortunately sometimes I have to tell these stories but it can

00:34get a bit depressing the amount of destruction we're continuously seeing

00:37but I also have nature as a healer so I get over it but it feels very

00:43relentless it's relentless destruction on mass quite often at the wrong time
