Deauville Dance Band - When Your Lover Has Gone

I apologize for Jay Wilbur's picture in the video, but the actual orchestra behind this pseudonym finally appears to be Harry Hudson instead of Jay Wilbur, who used the same pseudonym. Harry Hudson didn't have an orchestra of his own. His was one of the "studio" orchestras active all through the 1920's and 1930s. His bands included such sidemen as: Sylvester Ahola, Lew Davis, Sid Phillips and George Melachrino. Some of his recordings are under pseudonyms of The Blue Jays, The Radio Rhythm Boys and the Deauville Dance Band. This exquisite recording was made in 1931. The vocalist remained uncredited, but is Sam Browne.
