00:00The Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted the importance of the war of
00:03Mexican migrants in the United States and their contribution to the economy.
00:11This idea that migrants take away jobs is quite the opposite. They help the economy of the United
00:19States. So it is very important that all Mexicans know about it and that all U.S. citizens know
00:26about it as well, all nationalities. But, particularly, we and the U.S. citizens,
00:34so that they recognize this work, so that they know what it means for their country and that it
00:40is part of all the dialogues on migration issues as well. The criminalization of migrants is an
00:47essentially racist issue and what we are proposing is that we have to discuss those four million
00:53undocumented migrants with the United States government and also recognize the many Mexican
01:00families of first, second, third, and fourth generation that are there and contribute in a
01:06very important way.
