00:00Google is telling some remote workers to return to the office three days a week or risk losing
00:05their jobs. According to internal documents seen by CNBC, some Google units are giving staffers
00:10the option to switch to a hybrid schedule or take a voluntary exit package. But another department
00:15was told roles would be eliminated if employees didn't follow a hybrid RTO schedule. Google's
00:21push for return to office began back in 2022, with requirements of three days in office and
00:27two working remotely. But co-founder Sergey Brin told employees in February that he recommends
00:32being in the office at least every weekday and that 60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity,
00:38according to a memo seen by the New York Times.
