This year, Lexus has decided to drop the non-hybrid engine completely. The 2026 ES is now only available as a hybrid, called the ES350h. Under the hood is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. Together, they produce 244 horsepower. A smooth and quiet continuously variable automatic transmission is standard, with the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Lexus has also focused on improving the driving experience by increasing chassis rigidity and reducing body vibrations. A new multi-link rear suspension further enhances stability and handling.
Inside, the cabin is a showcase of Lexus craftsmanship. The dashboard features a clean and modern design with high-quality materials throughout. Passengers will enjoy generous legroom in both rows, with comfortable seats designed for long-distance comfort. Ambient lighting and faux bamboo wood trim, made with 3D-printing technology, give the interior a touch of luxury. Trunk space is generous and comparable to competitors such as the Volvo S90 and Acura TLX, both offering about 14 cubic feet of cargo room.
